Weird but not in a good way, puzzles are more annoying than fun, didn't really feel anything after the game ended

Good story, good combat, great music, certainly a classic worth playing, but it has aged pretty poorly in a lot of aspects

Visually and music-wise it is absolutely gorgeous, bosses are great, but other than that it falls a bit short.

Nice relaxing arcade-like experience with no real objective. I put a few hours into it but it's unfortunately really my type of game.

DOOM7
Apr 27, 2023
The port is seriously impressive, and the game is good too. It's an adrenaline rush that revitalizes the Doom franchise in a modern fashion, while having some great nods to the originals.

A great indie Zelda-souls-like. Combat, exploration and puzzles are really good, but the music is hands down the best part of the game.

Death and Taxes5
Apr 27, 2023
Somewhat interesting, the voiceacting is good and the atmosphere and art are good. Overall it's a bit mediocre, and the gameplay itself isn't all that entertaining. Choices having weight is fun, but making those choices isn't that great.

Dishonored 29
Apr 27, 2023
Dishonored 2 is a perfect sequel, improving on it's predecessor in almost every way. The replayability is even more front and center and the gameplay mechanics have been substantially improved. Even the characters are made more interesting and fleshed out.
PlayStation 4

Dishonored9
Apr 27, 2023
Dishonored shines in it's ability to do everything right in a way, that you want/need to play through it multiple times. The amount of different routes and ways there are to beat the levels is insane and the storyline that shifts depending on your playstyle is interesting and worth seeing the different outcomes. Both action and stealthy playstyles are very fun and the mechanics for both are very good. Love this absolute classic.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate10
Apr 8, 2023
The most fun you can have in a multiplayer videogame whether you're a casual or a competitive player. After playing with friends I'm always left to want more, and the sheer size of this game has never left me bored even after hundreds upon hundreds of hours. I would love to give it a 10 but the online just doesn't work at all for me, and that's a big shame considering how I would just love to keep playing even after my friends get tired.

Dead Space (2008)9
Apr 8, 2023
Atmospherically just absolutely amazing and the combat is great. A horror game in 3rd person and with this heavy of a focus on combat shouldn't work as well as it does, but this game is just all around masterfully designed.

Was honestly surprised by how good this small indie title was. The platforming keeps introducing new mechanics and gets really difficult towards the end. A neat idea with perfect execution, even if it gave me headaches.

Celeste9
Apr 8, 2023
Celeste has probably the best platforming physics out of any 2d platformer. It's a simple game about climbing a mountain and it's story is also about climbing said mountain. The music is also awesome.

Metroid Fusion10
Apr 7, 2023
Fusion is essentially a 2d horror game while being a pretty linear game about exploration. Now that doesn't sound like it should work, but goddamn does it work well. The Metroid team decided to make this game something different and new from all the previous titles while retaining all the good parts the series is known for. Terrifying, difficult and exhilarating.

BioShock Infinite10
Apr 7, 2023
Infinite isn't just a sequel, it's an evolution. The absolutely gorgeous visual style in a brand new, yet still distinctly "Bioshock" feeling setting paired with reworked and more fast paced combat and an even more deep and philosophical story, make for an unforgettable experience.

BioShock 27

Assassin's Creed Rogue5
Apr 7, 2023
A bit unnecessary. You're not missing out on anything really if you skip this one. While providing some depth to some characters, it's story is quite mediocre, and the actual game (the setting included) is just a full on rehash of Black Flag and 3.
Xbox 360

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag8
Apr 7, 2023
One of the best pirate games ever made but not that great of an assassin game. The story is really good though, and the pirate aspects alone make this one of the best games in the series, for all the wrong reasons. They should've called it Pirate's Creed.
Xbox 360
Apr 7, 2023
Assassin's Creed III7
Apr 7, 2023
A breath of fresh air the series needed, for better or for worse. The new physics feel smoother, the visuals are better, the combat is snappier etc. The game doesn't really do that good of a job at explaining it's mechanics to the player, which led me to not like it that much on my first playthrough, but knowing how everything worked at the start made my second playthrough way more enjoyable.
Xbox 360

Assassin's Creed: Revelations6
Apr 7, 2023
Didn't keep me entertained for as long as the games before this. The story is good, but Constantinopole isn't nearly as fun to explore as the cities of Italy, and some of the new ideas like the tower defense mode aren't all that great.
Xbox 360
Apr 7, 2023
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood8
Apr 7, 2023
A really good sequel for 2 with some great new ideas. It's really similar though, and the story doesn't hit as hard, seeing as it's just the middle chapter in Ezio's story.

Dark Souls II7
Apr 7, 2023
Some questionable design choices make this an... interesting game. Most bosses feel lacking, the world design is weird, it is WAY more bs than it's predecessor and so on. I would've wanted to enjoy this game more, but it just felt llke an inferior Dark Souls 1 in every way. Being inferior to a masterpiece still makes it good, but doesn't make it less disappointing.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga4
Mar 20, 2023
Honestly quite disappointing. While the main levels are ok and the memes are really fun, the side content really falls off due to it just being copy and paste sidequests on different planets. Saying the game has hundreds of playable characters is also kind of a stretch, it's more like 5 characters with a lot of reskins. It is good, but nowhere near the other classic lego games.

Dark Souls10
Mar 20, 2023
Few games hit as hard as Dark Souls when the end credits roll. This game was a journey. A very deep, personal journey full of danger, death and darkness, but overcoming those obstacles gives you the strength to move forward. It might not be for everyone, but those who triumph in the hostile world of Lordran will cherish this experience as something truly special.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask10
Mar 20, 2023
Majora's mask is weird, depressing and the most unique game in the franchise, but it is an absolute treat because of that. The oppressive atmosphere and straight up terrifying themes combined with odd but likeable characters makes this one of the most memorable Zelda experiences.

Metroid Dread9
Mar 7, 2023
The perfect sequel to all the previous 2d Metroid games. The movement and combat are slick and one of the best in any 2d game, the bosses are the best in the series and it truly modernizes the formula in a fantastic way. The weakest point is probably the music which is a shame but other than that it is just awesome.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity5
Mar 7, 2023
Fun combat and a lot of unique characters, gorgeous art style and amazing music, but it's way too repetitive, the new storyline is dumb and overall pouring your time into it feels a bit worthless. I did have fun with it, but maybe the warriors games just aren't for me.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess10

Metroid Prime Remastered8
Mar 7, 2023
My first experience with the Metroid Prime series and it is a damn good translation of the 2d Metroid games in a first person perspective. Brilliantly designed world, exploration is great and the combat is neat. It's also one of the most visually impressive Switch games. However as impressive as this remaster is, it is just a visual remaster, so some 20 year old design shows through, and it can be very frustrating at times.

The Last of Us9
Mar 7, 2023
It absolutely deserves all the praise it gets, with it's fantastically written, real feeling story that will stick with you for a long time. The gameplay really makes you think about how to use your resources in a way where every bullet counts, and this is probably the most immersive part of it for me. A story about survival set in a world where surviving isn't easy.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild10

Hollow Knight10
Feb 18, 2023
Hollow Knight is a game that finds beauty in being lost and finding your way. The only driving force behind your actions is your own curiosity and desire to see more of the world. And boy is there a lot to see! The gorgeous handdrawn environments, the wacky and unique npcs, the serenely beautiful soundtrack, the difficult bossfights, the intriguing lore, this game has it all! Originally bought the game on a whim back in 2019, but it has grown to be my favorite game of all time, and the gold standard for a good videogame in my eyes.

Persona 5 Royal10

Absolutely the best RPG I've ever played. Nothing comes close to the sheer amount of style and personality P5 displays in it's every aspect, and the music is probably the most consistently banging out of any videogame ost.
