While this is a nice game, it is quite frankly overpriced. Coming out a week later with ten dollar DLC doesn't help, either. In the age of either AAA franchises or indie games the consumer has a lot more choice, and games like this as an initial free to play makes more sense.

Madden NFL 131
Aug 28, 2012
I almost think I have played this game before. Rented today, this is basically another roster update. If you want to buy a roster update and a one year subscription to online play, this is actually just for you. Not anything wrong with that, either. It is just due to the elongated console generation that these games seem really dusty. Plus, it is almost like EA has a solid hold on the NFL for some reason, I forget why.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver.1

This is DLC gaming at its finest. Sony, Microsoft and Capcom decided to test your patience and deliver a game that you would think is five bucks, an OLD Dreamcast title not even redone nor touched, and charge twenty bucks for it. They did it just to be funny. Some of you will buy anything.

A twenty dollar Dreamcast game that wasn't even redone. Yes, Microsoft has officially gone insane. This is Capcom and MS teaming up together with an average game from a dozen or so years ago, and knowing full well there are going to be some of you who actually buy this. They thank you.

I rented this a couple days ago. I haven't played such a broken game since trying the first Two Worlds on 360. Annoying screen-tearing. Tiny text (I sit ten feet away from a 42" set) that makes me squint. The bloom/brightness whatnot in the game can get amazingly bright. The menu system doesn't make sense, and drags the game down even further. The sad thing is the basic things in the game I love, such as the setting and not too serious storyline. It is just weird the developers pushed the game out the door like that, and even more weird the publisher didn't give them more time to polish it. Unplayable.

The Amazing Spider-Man7

A positive direction for a franchise that sorely needed it. It isn't anywhere near the Batman Arkham games, yet this game is like a classic compared to recent entries. Fun and responsive open world spider slangin' and some fun stealth options highlight this game. Good rental, try it.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes9

Probably the best Lego game since the first Star Wars offering. While the story mode itself is a bit short, the biggest blast of the game is without a doubt the open world wandering. I tried to plow through the story just to get to it, use Superman as my main bro. Oh, you are a bat robot in the 25th century. Hit a level 12 freeze problem that took a few hours out of my life... PATCH IT TT!!!

Probably the best game ever, and I am not saying that just because I work for Microsoft. From the get go, you a robot in the future/past. Your name is withheld, and you get to talk to three major stereotypes as squadmates a lot. You try to get some reading done when you need to recalibrate Kinect. Have I ever mentioned how Kinect is awesome and really works well? Oh, it sure does. Don't let the absolute worse site reviews fool you, this is a solid one out of ten.

If you have Playstation Plus, this game is currently free of charge, for as long as you have Plus. Hard to get better deals than being free. While it doesn't feel like a complete retail release, I cringe when I think about the DLC for this game, but even this and being a non-fighting game fan like myself can see fault with a free product of good value.

Max Payne 31

After a bit this playing the same Rockstar game over and over gets old. Grand Theft: Auto, Horse, Facial Expressions and Slow Motion. They are making the same product over and over. Trivial story, amazing polish but it is like polishing a turd, and the now famous "awesome multiplayer" (gaming media uses this when they want to say the game is crap and it is hard to evaluate what one person's take on multiplayer is to the next) that will entertain for two weeks max. Pass. Wait for games, not products.

Beyond Good & Evil HD9

While the game at times seems sparse in detail and side adventures, it still is by and large a solid game for those wanting to give it a chance. Camera issues persist, though most current games of this same type have the same issues. It is a game with heart, made by a group of persons and not a jumble of different studios. Highly recommended.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier2
May 26, 2012
Have you played this before? Military shooter, piss poor campaign that makes the multiplayer seem great? You are basically a robot who stealthily gets into gunfights, point your squad to do stuff, and try not to notice the horrific graphics and lack of polish. I think you have played this before. Oh, and you get to look at guns while standing up and waving your arms around.

Everybody was wondering at the start of this console's life cycle when we would get a crappy Star Wars motion control game. You wait is finally over, the chicks have flown the coup, gerbil poop. You are Action Skyhawkrr, a robot who doesn't want to stop, won't stop, can't stop. There is a bit of a twist at one point as the natives become restless, too much caffeine that late at night is no goody. Give it a shot if you have a mentally challenged hamster.

Fusion: Genesis8

Pretty much a grindfest, but the game is so darn long you can't really go wrong if you like the trial. Set in the year 2525, you are a robot chip who needs to find the meaning of life. You blast away stuff to find ore, the meaning of life is not there. There is a Limbo style level. The game saves well, freezes hardly ever. Give it a shot, turkey crotch.

Some issues are present, but if you can pick this up for a decent price go for it. You are a robot in the year 2525, televisions have become your master as humankind are on Spring break. It is up to you to decide the fate of the multiverse. If you are looking for a cooking simulator this is it. Give it a robot beat and dance to this with Kinect, winner winner chicken gizzard.

Trials Evolution10
May 22, 2012
Keep in mind, I haven't even tried local or Live multiplayer. I just find the game hard to stop playing. It isn't remarkably different from Trials HD, so if you have a chance to pick that up much cheaper go for it, but the experience is really compelling. Please note you are going to have to turn the music down for it, but a silly theme song always plays no matter what when you start it up. I come back to it time and time again for other users tracks, which is probably the biggest overall selling point for it. The stuff others do with the track editor are amazing. It is a bit easier, especially early, than Trials HD.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings10

An incredible RPG that felt different, apparently hard to do these days. For those expecting open world, don't. For those expecting new game +, don't. If you have a bit of time to learn the combat, I played through on easy first playthrough then Dark difficulty, give it a try. Buy it, rent it, steal it.

I am not sure we needed more gimmicky cheaply made games that actually cost quite a bit for what they bring. Plays like a dollar Indie game. The whole old school stuff at some point becomes so much used by games, that GOOD graphics, 3D WORLDS and SOMETHING NEW has become retro.

Trust that IGN review. Paying fifteen bucks for something like this is crazy. While the game has some moments early that make you think you are playing something worthwhile, in the end it just drags because of some tired gameplay. When you expect more, you get more.
