Shane Black's "The Nice Guys" is certainly one of the best movies of this year. It is hilarious, unpredictable, well-acted, perfectly directed, well-shot, and endlessly human.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is an absolutely hilarious movie, and not really in a good way. It's disappointingly average, and a huge step down from "Days of Future Past".

A tragic, beautiful, uplifting testament to youth, friendship, and maturity. Endlessly powerful and hilarious. The acting is fantastic and the writing is clever. See this movie now!

Oh dear... "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is a mess, but a very fun one. It wants to do bigger and better things, but never for a second does it. An unfortunate predicament for Whedon.

Jurassic World is worse for dinosaurs than extinction was. I'd rather watch all the Transformers movies back to back than watch this again. A complete disaster of soullessness.

The Force Awakens is pure magic and beauty. J.J. cares so much about the characters he writes and the story he drives. The most fantastical, exhilarating adventure of 2015. A brilliant achievement.

The acting and drama in PPZ is surprisingly good, and the costumes and sets are beautiful. The action is also really fun. It's above-average, especially considering the silly premise. Very well-executed.

Cabin Fever gave me cancer of the eyes, ears, and ass. I am now dead, and reaching out to you from the great beyond to tell you to not make the mistake I did! This movie made me dead!

Joe Manganiello for Best Supporting Actor 2017. This movie is lovably odd and wacky, being a prime Pee-wee adventure. Not great, but a lot of innocent fun.

Ylikes. Melissa McCarthy can only do so much for a movie. This is dreadful, with no wit or cleverness, just a lot of testicle-punching gags. No creativity required.

The VVitch is absolutely petrifying. The best horror film I've ever seen, and I have no hesitation in saying that. This is a complete masterpiece, full of terror and fear.

I really loved Lauren Cohan in this, she was engaging and pretty damn beautiful. The movie is just a joke. It's lazy and dull, and it has the dumbest plot twist maybe ever.

I can't begin to tell you about how awful this movie is. It has no thrills, no flair, nothing new. The main character is a thoughtless idiot, and that has nothing to do with her deafness. The plot is silly and boring and the movie is overlong at 81 minutes. Skip.

Zoolander 2 is infrequently hilarious, and does a fine job continuing the spirit of the first movie. ben Stiller is great, and the jokes are beautifully stupid. Lots of dumb fun. My kind of stupid humor.

Ride Along 2 was much better than I expected, in that I casually chuckled more than a few times. Hart and Ice Cube are great, and I love Olivia Munn. This isn't good or hilarious but it's diverting enough.

The Forest is a soulless abomination capable of absolutely nothing. The plot twists are hackneyed, the performances lifeless, and the writing awful. The ending is offensive. After sitting through the painful running time, it ends with zero closure and a particularly insulting jump scare. Don't watch this.

I guess I'm really immature because I laughed a lot during Dirty Grandpa. The jokes are hit-and-miss but they hit really well. De Niro and Efron are really funny too. Not good but funny enough.

Jane Got a Gun is the most boringest western I've ever stared at. The characters are boring, the actors are boring, the action is boring, the story is lame, and it just drags itself like a zombie for 2 hours. Bleh.

If you're a Christian, you'll like this. It tells the familiar story very well, and doesn't risk anything. I was very bored, as I knew exactly how this would go, being so familiar with the story. Ethnic Jesus for the win.

This movie is a surprisingly elegant story about broken and lonely people trying to deal with how inadequate they feel. It's a horrible comedy, but a great drama.

"Midnight Special" is thrilling, emotional, exquisite, intricate, beautiful, wonderful, and inspiring. A fantastic and original sci-fi thriller with great performances and a gripping plot.

The worst thing that has ever happened to action movies. Max Landis's script is sadistic and the comedy isn't funny. It's tone-deaf and sloppily directed. It's brutal to endure this.

Jeremy Saulnier's "Green Room" will knock you into next week. Scratch that, next year. Maybe decade. This movie is an unforgiving and brutal piece of thriller cinema.

"Triple 9" is brutally boring and painfully uninteresting. The characters are lame but the actors are great. The story is recycled and does barely anything new.

I love freeze-frame endings with all my heart, so "Eddie the Eagle" was incredibly pleasing. This movie nails the 80s vibe and the actors knock it out of the park. Beautifully retro.

"The Lobster" is wonderfully quirky and very funny. It has a ton of emotion and lots of style. It has a lot to say about the way society looks at relationships as well. A fantastic movie and one of the best films of the year.

"Zootopia" is a movie that kids everywhere will enjoy. I didn't, because it delivered its message with the absolute opposite of grace. It has funny moments here and there, but it's painfully long and not worth the running time.

"London has Fallen" is one of the most boring, lifeless, dull, and uninspired movies I've ever had the misfortune of enduring. It's so bad that it makes "Olympus" look like a masterpiece.

If you like Key & Peele, "Keanu" is just for you. It's very funny, consistently so, and the acting is notably great. Lots of pop culture references that really work.

Ben Wheatley's "High-Rise" is remarkably Kubrickian and wonderfully chaotic. It has style for days, great performances, and good social commentary. It kind of gets lost in itself, but it's quite beautiful.

"The Jungle Book" is painfully boring. Even with the stunning visual effects, this movie has nos soul or heart. It's an empty shell, but a good-looking one. And my goodness, Neel Sethi cannot act one bit. Worse than Jake Lloyd, no kidding.

"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is a total disaster. The story is weak, the characters are lame, and the cgi is awful. The things I do for Jessica Chastain.... I love her enough to sit through this.

"Captain America: Civil War", A.K.A. Avengers 3, is a spectacular blockbuster. That being said, it lacks any form of personality or character development. Spider-Man is laughably unnecessary, but Black Panther RULES. Can't wait for that movie! Go see this, it's tons of fun and great on the big screen.

I saw this for the 3rd time today. This is a complex and layered masterpiece of comic-book filmmaking, with spectacular action, subtle emotion, and hard-hitting sacrifice and heroism. This movie is an absolutely stunning achievement. All hail Zack Snyder!

'The Revenant" is an utter triumph of both filmmaking and the human spirit. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy are electrifying. The cinematography by Chivo is stunning and chilling. This is Alejandro G. Inarritu's best film, and the best film of the decade.
