The chemistry between Rockwell and Kendrick drives the movie. They’re fast and wonderful together. But Mr. Right has an abundance of strong supporting performances as well.

This sort of violent comedy — think “True Lies’’ meets “Grosse Pointe Blank’’ — is tough to pull off, but Spanish director Paco Cabezas and screenwriter Max Landis (“American Ultra’’) nail a screwball fantasy vibe that stops just inches short of downright silliness.

This movie is quirky, amusing and unexpected. Both Sam's and Anna's performances in the movie were impeccable and the plot was very well organized and driven and the chemistry between the characters was more than obvious. The movie is not only very action-packed but also a feel-good-type. I would definitely recommend.

The ludicrous action-flick plot slows to a crawl whenever Kendrick and Rockwell aren’t on screen.

Clowning, bullet-riddled rom-com Mr. Right is awfully charming in the best and worse senses of the phrase. It's often kind of awful but also weirdly effervescent, a movie that salves, with its stars' radiance and charisma, even as it grates.

This peculiar high-danger romance — which plays like watered-down Elmore Leonard or imitation Tarantino — is a risky retro back-step for an up-and-coming young screenwriter with such hip credits as “Chronicle” and “American Ultra” to his name.

It feels at once overwritten and thematically thin, coasting on a cutesy concept before descending into relentless, and therefore meaningless, violence.

Mr Right is Grosse Pointe Blank meets Dexter. Liman meets Tarantino. Derivative idea meets sloppy execution.

I honestly loved this movie. It is silly, don't go in this expecting a serious movie. There are no hidden messages or deeper meanings, it is just gratuitous craziness and violence. It is perfect to watch with your significant other or on a date in my opinion.

Mr. Right seems like a product where those in charge didn’t know if their plans were for a whacky rom-com action flick or simply a violent Tarantino imitation. The end result is a mildly entertaining 90 minutes, but nothing more.

A hitman with the 'killing is wrong' attitude. Something is not right for 'Mr, Right'. It is not an event based action-comedy or something like man meets woman romance-comedy, but very random presentation. Where it begins and where it ends, you can't clearly say it is a well written script. The actings were decent, but the scenes aren't overwhelmingly impressive as it should be. Directed by 'Neon Flesh' famed filmmaker, after that film his other projects weren't up to the standards including this one. It is written by the one who was behind the 'American Ultra'. There's a strikingly similar between these two and you won't deny if you had seen them. Especially Anna Kendrick's character to what the Jesse Eisenberg was in that film. If we go deep, Sam Rockwell as well might fall into the same category to what Kristen Stewart was. At some point, one of the film characters mentions the same secret project. So I think it is the same universe and a spin-off. Sam-Kendrick combo was the highlight of the film. I hope they would do some serious subject together in the near future. The action sequences were good, other than that it's not funny at all or romantic. That means I did not enjoy it because the theme did not work for me which I felt very common these days. So it failed because of the lack of innovation and proper development, but the overall film was not bad if entertainment is the main agenda. I know there are audience for it and they will back it. I won't stand between you and your watch if you want to try it, I just say be careful, that's all. 5/10

This is classic example of Hollywood's latest attempt at being creative: a dumb plot, dumb exaggerated characters, throw in some of the latest pop hits, a little self-awareness, and you've got yourself Mr. Right. There's almost nothing here to salvage outside of a decent performance by James Ransone and some good chemistry between Rockwell and Kendrick. Also, Tim Roth is utterly wasted in this movie. Take his character out and maybe, just maybe, it may have been a 4 or 5.

Against my better judgment I saw it and now I regret it, I really thought I was gonna laugh a little but Jesus, this wasn't fun at all. What is happening with Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick? They're better than this.
