Well made family friendly comedy. Good balance of humor for kids and parents. Animation is good. And although this is another sequel, the studio is continuing to put quite a bit of effort into these films.

Definitely better than expected; I feel that the critics were a bit harsh on this one. There were quite a few laughs throughout the movie, the story was decent, and the characters were well cast. The movie isn't perfect by any means, but compared to most comedies that typically hit the big screen The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was entertaining and a success.

Excellent casting, setting, plot, pacing, and performances. A movie which really makes you step back and look at yourself as well as the world with a different perspective. Clooney's performance is superb; the characters can be easily related to, as well as their troubles, and their constant struggle to do the right thing. Typically my reviews for movies are quite loquacious, but with such a well-made movie as The Descendants, I've found myself nearly speechless, there's really not much more one can say other than "wow!"

This movie was a respectable comedy, however, I feel it had a lot of wasted potential. This movie had a stellar premise, and began with a solid start. Yet, as the movie progressed, both the storyline and the protagonists become hard to believe and blatantly dumb, and this is where the movie is at its weakest. While the movie was much more humorous and enjoyable when the protagonists and their jokes were underplayed and cleverly placed. Again, this movie still was funny and entertaining and will give the audience some good laughs, just I feel that it could have done more with the material at hand had the movie more cleverly utilized its exceptional comedic premise.

Super 8 was indeed a good movie, however, I do not feel it deserved the 72 assigned by critics. The movie did not necessarily present any new material, but simply old concepts and ideas we've seen implemented in other movies rehashed into this feature. Furthermore, I feel the movie dwelled too much on the "movie-making" encapsulated plot of the film which did not necessarily add any deeper meaning or understanding to the movie as a whole. In short, I feel that Super 8 lacked a certain amount of new ideas, direction, and meaning for a movie with such an esteemed score. Personally, I rate this movie a 58/100
