Diablo II: Resurrected

Problems, problems, problems... Problem #1: Diablo 3 owners had to pay more than D2R's cost to upgrade it into D3 + D2R bundle. Thanks for spit into face of new generation of gamers. Problem #2: no legacy discount for original D2LoD owners. Thanks for spit into face of old generation of gamers. Problem #3: inadequate system requirements. A rig which can run both D3 and D2LoD on max can't run D2R at all. I don't care if it's AVE issue or BFG issue or whatever. Problem #4: a feature nobody asked for, switching between old and new gen visuals on the go. I'd understand if I'd be able to try it on rig which COULD run D2LoD. To play with old visuals for reduced hardware stress, you know. But noooooo... Problem #5: You must own Diablo II: Resurrected to post on this forum. On official forum. If you have interest in buying this game - go ask elsewhere. Uncool. And so many more issues, mistakes, mistreatments... blergh!

Bugged as hell. Was unable to pass past sea blockade due to being constantly **** below the map bounds. Was unable to complete some quest (no idea which): as soon as quest NPC appeared and I approached him, I got 'quest failed'. Was unable to utilize parkour for combat: it happens often that character stucks in either 'sliding' or 'rail walking' animation without possibility to cancel it - and that's while enemies are poking at you! Sneak attacks which deal like 50% of damage (with PAID weapons from DLC)? Really? What a scam! The plot is as usual. Some memories of some ancestor who was or was not participating in some events of the deep past. This time, somehow, all memories are revolving around too-manly women and too-sweet-faced men. Oh, and add 'LGBT members made this game' loading screen you'll see each time you'll start it. I'm absolutely okay with LGBT and I do know some cool people of this kind but PLEASE STOP STICKING IT INTO MY FACE! It's immoral! I demand protecting my rights to remain straight! Game's store page didn't mentioned excessive propaganda of this kind! (and it's not so legal in our lands but who cares until it targets our lands' president anyway. . .) Visuals... are pretty neat. Visuals _are_ what's selling this game. As cool as it could be. Thanks Ubisoft, I guess. Sound... Game's version for my language cheered me up with mistranslated expressions, Greek words sticked into speech just for some fleur, lack of emotional expression and absolutely inappropriate actor vs character choices. Overall, not if I would regret making this purchase (10$ for Ultimate edition? Passable!) but I expected to get complete game. Ubisoft still sells unfinished games, what a shame...

Better than 76. It's not pretending, at least. I wasted 4 hours on this game and decided that I can't take it anymore. Bugs. Minor but irritating. Like permanent fight for controls between my gamepad and my keyboard due to which I can't use either. Unplugging is not an option. Paints menu shows that I have something new there but that new paint simply don't show up. Air controls are becoming stuck in flight mode for unknown reason until 'overheat' occurs occasionally. Grrrrrrrr... Visuals. Low preset looks great but still fries my GPU - and some effects which, logically, had to be disabled/diminished on Low preset were not reduced. Loading times. Three minutes to launch the game. Three more minutes to get into the city. Three more minutes to spend into pre-battle lobby. Two to seven minutes to load mission. And only then you MAAAAAAYBE will make it into the battle. Guys, even WoT is making it into less than five minutes in worst case scenario! Sound. Same mistake Borderlands did. Pitching the mission through unskippable unsilenceable dialogue mid-battle. Distracts, irritates. Inventory management. You have two separate screens activate'able through two different NPCs or NPC-like objects. Problem 1: at one screen you can equip items but can't see per-class item breakdown. At another screen it's opposite. Problem 2: these NPCs are stationed at considerable distance from each other. Level 80 Usability. Add weird in-city controls and absolute lack of point in conversations with NPCs (as quests don't seem to give any reward - and non-quest conversations give some reputation points with uncertain application), NPCs mimics which will make any '90 game shine in comparison, Borderless Fullscreen mode game still taking over any other windows even after forcing its shrinking/hiding, random severe FPS drops (getting 2-5 FPS for 10 minutes then having 60 back mysteriously is no joke)... The only really positive moment is that cash shop is hidden in such depths of interface so I simply was unable to find it until I finished first few missions and became better acquainted with this game's horrible GUI. Besides, I only managed to complete only 4 (four!) missions in 4 hours. All four missions took about an hour to complete. Less, maybe. Joke of an exploring the city, waddling between two mentioned storages, unskippable cutscenes and loadscreens, loadscreens, loadscreens took the rest. NO fun. I spent 5$ and I have no regrets. This AAA project does cost 5$. Not more, not less. EA probably won't refund me it even despite I only have 1 hour of actual playtime. ...and you know what? This game is still BETTER than 76!

If this wannabe-esports-title would be a carbon copy of CSGO, it'd deserve 7 for effort. Because anti-cheat and true free-2-play. If this wannabe-esports-title would NOT be a carbon copy of CSGO, with better balance, more diverse gameplay and much more humane developers, it'd get 10/10-GOTY-whatever. But something went wrong... It looks like CSGO and feels like CSGO despite trying to be as far from CSGO style-wise and gameplay-wise. Same game mode (because who plays cs_ maps, if you know what I mean). Same 2-resps-2-plants-few-sidewalks maps. Same items. And no, making grenades part of characters' skills doesn't count as 'different weapons'. LESS balance because of characters diversity. Broken netcode. Intrusive anti-cheat which average user will be unable to disable after exiting the game (because it has rootkit-like anti-anti-cheat protection) - and which will keep guzzling computer's resources. No certainity with monetization. It is suspicious nowadays... The only good things about this game are that it: 1. Has some chances to break CSGO monopoly, 2. Fewer cheaters. Yet another game for streamers. A shame. A real shame.

Quite a time passed since game's release. What was added: more cashgrabs. What was not added: enjoyable bug-less gameplay. Trying to love this game since its release. The concept is good - but gods! how bad the execution is! Stay away from this game. Even if it would be the last multiplayer-only game in the world - just stay away. This review is a carbon copy of my Fallout 76 review since Fallout 76 Wastelanders is a carbon copy of Fallout 76 which somehow obtained a separate entry at Metacritic. Nonononono, ****, nonononono...

Dull and outrageous mobile ripoff which took every bad feature from average mobile gaming project. Undisable'able tutorial? Check! Pay to win? Check! Paid content disappears upon savegame removal? Check! (i. e. lost your save file - buy everything again, for cash!) Repetitive gameplay? Check! Artifical resource constraint which prevents conserving resources? Check! Unremarkable graphics? Check! Annoying sound? Check! Biased RNG? Check! Non-canon spin-off? Check! Kids! Stay away from this game!

Weird game which becomes weirder and weirder with each update. First and foremost: unless you can find a bunch of co-players - you're nothing. That's not how it was advertised... Activities which could, in theory, be solo'able are either not worth the effort (i. e. quite low income vs playtime and no fun) or hidden deep within 'back to 2000'ies' user interface. Second, unless you buy Omega subscription - you're nothing. That's not how it was advertised... In theory, your character can learn some skills to be quite decent. In fact, you'll be crushed by pilots whose ships, while being of same model with yours, have twice a durability and twice a firepower (at least!) just because of all OP things Omega allows to use. Even as a tackler you'll be just worse than average Omega-powered tackler. Aside of tackling, you have no use for anything without Omega anyway. Third, after all those years of megacorporations' domination, developers decided to cut the in-game cash flow for them... ...without increasing solo/small guild playable activities' attractivemess. Awesome. That's not how it was advertised... Fourth, 15$/month for just staring into display while my character is researching blueprints? Diggin ore? Trying to do one's best at market? 15$/month is too costy for playing an in-game character 'class' whose sole responsibility is to click few buttons every once a while. Result: a good digger/researcher is hard to find. Thus, outrageous, desperate multiaccounting, botting, etc. Which doesn't add any chance to play and actually enjoy the game for solo and/or non-Omega players. Fifth, despite seemingly strict moderation the game is full of 'git gud' jerks. Which is NOT novice-friendly. Asking for advice may result in anything except an advice. Long story short, if you didn't played it - don't even try unless you have 2-6 friends to mess around with - and spare 15$/friend to purchase Omega for each. And, there are way more fun games to mess with 2-6 friends around - for less cash.

The game itself is great... on any other platform. Just don't buy it on Wii U unless you'd like to be stuck with rather antique cash-grab version of this game. The game still lives and evolves on other platforms. Here, on Wii U it's abandoned in its 2017'ish (at best) state. With no DLCs and no booster packs.

The idea was great - rich build-your-own-narrative slow-paced adventure. The execution is... ruined by weird controls, repetitiveness and other means to prevent the player from enjoying robust plot. Scrap the narrative, make actual gameplay more manageable and less slow/less reprtitive (there are game modifications for this) - and you'll get a solid timekiller for an evening or two. But that's not how this game is advertised... Difficult to learn, difficult to master, difficult to enjoy. 2 extra points for crazy soundtrack. Not for everyone - but OST alone (with a price of OST alone) may justify purchasing it.

A for Effort, I dare say. Plot: exists. Clunky controls (keyboard). Semi-usable non-intuitive controls (gamepad). And it's in 'consoles first' development type game... Permanent performance issues. Resulting in permanent dramatic slowdowns. Yes, video is 60FPS. But the game's engine itself lags behind quite often, resulting in unintended slo-mo every once a while. Bugs, o, bugs! Finished about 20 battles (8ppl ffa and 30ppl royal) and had no battle concluding without something weird happening during it. Still, seen worse (in other genres) and didn't seen anything better in this sub-genre :( Buuuut, if you're looking for a good game to have fun in - kindly look elsewhere. Chances are, you'll be frustrated and/or infuriated.

20$+ for: 1. A set of spells your character will get with NO effort, 2. Some clothes (nothing truly special) and 3. A lot of bugs which will pop up at random, ruining the gameplay? Like dying to overcharge after having immunity-to-overcharge perk learned, having unplayable character after drinking potion of immortality (because the game will still attempt to make him die to old age - effectively purging actions queue once a minute), getting Curse while having curse immunity, etc, etc... Cost/content proportion is incredibly low here...

First and foremost, the game's dying, slowly but gracefully. Get your portion of AWESOME while it lasts, don't hesitate. It's free to play (and don't require 20GB+ sized download) anyway. What's good: - Simple gameplay which is master'able by average user. No lasthitting. No item buying. Just hero+talents choice and... - ...raw, robust action! Since there is no need in splitting one's attention between mobs and shops, the player can fully commit to dominating battlefield. - Non-intrusive paid content. What's bad: - 90% of lootboxes content is absolutely useless. There is no point in having 300+ profile icons since they're cheap to craft and can't be used simultaneously. Sprays? Same here. Yet, 1-3 sprays + 1-3 icons + 0 other iems from a lootbox is a common sight. - Playerbase is dwindling. So, longer time to reach the battle and... - ... permanent balancer hiccups. Just don't expect intense balanced action. It's you or them. No exceptions. What's neutral: - Plot: exists. - Events: numerous but rarely useful. - The developers started experimenting with gameplay recently, adding some spice into a bit stale dish. Embrace it while it's still playable - and remember it. This game is worthy to be remembered.

Used to own it at GOG - back when they sold their game on GOG. Then - 'hello GOG players! we're scrapping GOG version! Enjoy playing eternal alpha version!' Of course, it isn't LITERALLY the text of that announcement but: 1. The announcement's theme was essentially this. No recommendations on how to refund, no advice on how to keep playing the helluva mess the game was back these days. No nothing except 'GOG version won't be updated anymore. Thank you for understanding.' Let it sink in for awhile. They canned the whole segment of their playerbase and got away with it like it was absolutely okay. 2. The announcement was NOT posted at GOG. Let it sink in for a while. They started selling undeveloped game at GOG - and, after deciding to halt the development, they refused to inform their players. 3. As per what I got from my correspondence with GOG Customer Service, GOG staff was not aware of this... decision either. Let it sink in for a while. The developer didn't informed the publisher that the game won't be developed for publisher's platform. Not mentioning that, as per reviews from my Steam-based brethern, even after actual Release the game is, essentially, incomplete and bugged. Absolutely horrid game from bunch of scammers. The only place where this game and these developers may get a positive score is a 'Scam Of The Century' award show.

That's how perfect fighting games should be made! Convenient controls. Simple inputs for special attacks and super-smashes (local name for "fatalities"). Rich character list, most in which have quite unique play style. Unusual area-based gameplay (kick opponents off-screen to win). Pretty neat visuals, without any excessiveness (and with quite a number of dramatic moments). Have not tried competitive, however, for casual player it's a joy to play.

Random gameplay. Really. Desyncs everywhere, which renders most ranged characters unplayable at random. Toxic community. So toxic so even bug report attempts at forum are being drowned in "git gud" junk. Oblivious erotic accents. Just check fan art and most females' ingame poses. That's what actually keeps hype around this game up. Competitive is completely unusable for loners. Only full team of friends ensures that there will be something competitive-like since there are no player-performance based rating, just yet another winrate (team's winrate based!) player rating. Useless customer support. Sends players with server-side issues to forums instead of actually helping. Activated 2factor authentification? Say bye-bye to your account. If you'll lose/break your device with it - support won't help you with restoring your account. That's it, account protection measure which will destroy your account. Concentrated disappointment by once-famous game developer.
