Obviously, the visuals are an upgrade over Star Fox 64. Controls are very smooth and responsive. The cutscenes add more to the story and the characters. I'm hoping this sets the stage for a new series of Star Fox games, because (no spoilers) but the game definitely leaves itself open to there being some new adventures for the team. I can remember playing the original Star Fox back when walmart was doing an in-store contest and promotion, so I'm happy to see that Nintendo hasn't forgotten about it. Hopefully there's more to come.

This is made by the same team that did Mario Odyssey (which I loved) and it shows. The destructable environments open up a lot of exploration. The only issues I can think of so far is that the map is a little wonky to navigate sometimes and if you get too crazy destroying environments the camera gets a little tricky. Otherwise, the game looks great, it has a lot of charm and silly humor, and (using an old Gamepro metric) the Fun Factor is fantastic.
