Huge fan of DA 1. I enjoyed DA 2, though it wasn’t great. I was mixed on DA3. Now with DA 4, I had truly hoped for a turnaround on this franchise, but no, this is the biggest piece of flaming garbage I have seen to date. Absolutely do not waste your time or money on this game.

Didn't know anything at all about the game, had only known it was a Kojima production. WOW am I pleasantly surprised. To say that this is a masterpiece is an understatement. Yes, it is the kind of game that either you love or hate. But, if you start playing this game and within 30 minutes you're hooked on wondering WTH is going on here? and like the basic game mechanics, then you are likely to be on one heck of a ride all the way to the end. Without a doubt, a solid 10/10 game. Going into my personal Hall of Fame of all time best games IMHO.

This is a very disappointing and mediocre game that I don't understand why it is reviewing so well by the journalists. Graphics/Visuals Yes, it mostly looks good, but it is on par with what I would expect from a "next gen" game released in 2022. But, in many ways it looks no better than Ghost of Tsushima released on the PS4 2 years ago. Visually it is nice, frame rates are good. Colors are vibrant. View distances are nice. But nothing spectacular. Audio Boring. All I can say is almost all of the music so far is one word: Boring. I won't say anything more. Game Play Game play is the strong point. I can roam around sneaking up and killing things all day long. You have a full feature of weapons and armor to experiment. But so far, I am not really seeing anything new from Horizon Zero Dawn in any meaningful way. Not bad, because they did a great job in that game, but nothing new to speak of here. You also have the same platforming aspect of the game, but Forbidden West is incredibly easy. Too easy. Basically, just look for the color yellow and hit your controller. It is brain dead easy. Don't see anything? Just scan and you are instantly in easy mode. I don't find any challenge in this at all. Story I am 10 hours into this game and I could care less about this world. I don't really know what is going on and don't care to figure it out. I had expected a story hook to grab me within the first hour, but much of the first few hours is running into characters from Zero Dawn that I didn't care a whole lot about, and in some way they made them even less interesting in Forbidden West. Travis Tate makes a cameo, which is awesome. And Sylens is introduced early. But so far I find gathering Ridge-Wood more interesting than talking to anyone. Of course, both these games are Feminist wet dreams. That's OK; I rather enjoyed Zero Dawn a lot. But in this game, I feel like I am being beaten over the head with it. Art & Style This is where this game simply falls apart. A lot was said in the previews about the uglification of Aloy. Seeing the actual game, there is a little bit of it (why does she have huge chipmunk cheeks?) but overall I think Aloy is a rather adorable ginger, and I like her personality. But things end there. Literally every single character and NPC in this game is fat and ugly. Every single one. I feel like I am at the State fair instead of a post-apolopytic wasteland. And somehow, 90% of all the laborers are women? How does that happen? Did all the men die or something? Obviously there is an agenda. The designs of the clothings and architecture is kinda nice. It is what you would expect if you played Zero Dawn. The landscapes are OK. Nice really, but it is just what I expected, and nothing more. And the voice acting... wow is it cringy. Horrible. Again, Aloy is OK, I do like her. But every NPC is maximum cringe. And the facial movements and body language.. I usually look away from the screen when they talk. Collector's Edition I am playing the Regalia Edition. There is supposed to be DLC gear. It is all junk. The figures are OK. The large one is not the best that I've collected. I do like the Aloy mini though. There are some other accoutrements that are OK. Overall, I should have just stuck with the Launch Edition game (actually, I should have waited for the "GOTY" edition in the future). Conclusion I can not recommend this game. If you enjoyed Zero Dawn, are not bothered by all the horrible style choices made, and you are dying to play this game, then I would recommend waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition (or whatever they will call it) with the inevitable DLC that will be released. And even then, it may be wise not to pre-order it, wait for the cost to dip (or wait for it to be a Playstation Greatest Hits).

Nostalgic trip back to college algebra, with my trusty calculator by side doing my homework, wishing I could just go home and play some video games.... but now... I can skip all that homework and waste the night away in the library playing Mario AND do my homework at the same time!

This is a difficult game to describe, and is definitely something you need to put a little time in to see if this is your sort of game and get into the story. However, after about an hour or two, if this is your thing, I think you'll be hooked as well. I would describe this as a game consisting of 3 sub-games. The most important aspect is the story. I am barely in to the genre, but I think you would categorize it like a Light Novel. It also reminds me a little of the old Myst style games, a little. I don't want to give anything away, you just have to play through it a little and see for yourself. Let's just say, if you like Sci-Fi at all, and then if you like anime style art, throw in some mystery, then you'll love it. Every character is enjoyable and has a story. There is a quasi-real time strategy combat but don't let that turn you off if you're not into RTS. It is not hard (on normal difficulty), very satisfying, and contributes to the story telling. Lastly, there is an encyclopedia of sorts, kind of a "collect them all" sub-game. Again, this serves very well to support the story. Essentially, if you just play the game, you'll unlock everything in due time. Reading each entry helps to flesh out the world, and it serves as a great way to go back and easily re-live scenes.

Gripping story of honor set within an epic world containing awesome characters that you will care about. Makes me want to be a samurai when I grow up! Play the Japanese Cinematic, or better yet, at least try the Kurosawa mode, at least to check it out. If you don't know who Akira Kurosawa is, I hope this game motivates you to delve into the legend. Starting with Yuna and Jin, the characters only get better and better. With an enemy suitable to compare and contrast the honorable samurai. UI is beautiful. Gameplay is fun. The soundtrack is to die for. I just want to get out of work so bad to get home and resume playing!!!

If I were rating Blizzard, this would be a big fat 0. But, WoW Classic turned out to be all the fun I had hoped for. I greatly enjoyed it for a few months, relived a lot of great things that I'd missed for over a decade.

Yet another solid expansion for FFXIV. If you're playing this game, just go ahead and add this on. It's worth it.

Best expansion yet for FFXIV. This game gets more and more fun. Simply more things to do now than I could possibly imagine completing. Which, I guess is good?

Still more FFXIV fun. Little grindy, but opens up to some fun dungeons and all around more stuff to do.

Amazing how this game was turned around. Tons of fun. If nothing else, worth playing the free introduction month and see if it is just as fun for you. People playing this game are very easy going.

Plenty of hack & slash in both solo and a multiplayer format. Good price, kept me entertained for hours. 4 different classes that all feel entirely different to play. I'm not sure how interesting the Necromancer DLC is, but it's there to check out.

Tons of hack and slash fun. Good update of an older game. Definitely worth playing and has aged well.

Persona 5 opened me up to an entire genre of games that I didn't even know existed. Solid fun. I think I've put more time into this game than any other in years.

Part 2 deconstructs all that was good from Part 1. This story makes no sense whatsoever. Why the hell am I doing any of this? Controls are cumbersome and swampy. I guess visuals are OK, but it's the end of the PS4 life cycle and they spent a gazillion dollars making this game, so this simply meats expectations; nothing special, and honestly doesn't mean anything if the game overall is boring with an ugly and disgusting story. I think we'll just put this on the shelf and find something else to play the rest of the night.

Original Warcraft 3 was a legendary game, one of the best games in PC history. I played hundreds of hours. However, this Reforged game is such a bore that I barely could tolerate an hour and a half. Then, enter Blizzard's hell-bent desire to dump on the fans. Over and over and over. To say that this was a "bait and switch" is the best I can come to describe it. Then add to the fact that Blizzard steals your ability to go back to the original. I'm not sure who this game is for, but it's not for me. I wholeheartedly cannot recommend anyone wasting a single minute of their life playing this game, let alone spending a single penny on it.

As others, I am super disappointed. I was eagerly anticipating this game; had fully bought into the hype that DAI would make up for the shortfalls of DA2 (which I actually liked but clearly they could have done so much better with that title). However, DAI is clearly a console game first. I'm just telling you, don't waste your money on the PC; it's practically unplayable. What's real bad is that I can see the core of a decent game in there somewhere. There are other reviews with details so I'll leave it at that: If you're a real RPG game player and play on a PC, DAI is pure frustration. My guess is that console gamers don't know any better and so will give you a more positive spin.

First and foremost, this game is simply broke. Because of the required, always online DRM, if you have the slightest hiccup at all over your connection, you get disconnected. Yes, so you're playing BY YOURSELF, in what is essentially a SINGLE PLAYER GAME, and you will lose your progress every 5 - 15 minutes. Oh, that's not all. If you have any latency at all, you have lag in your game. So, yes again, YOUR SINGLE PLAYER GAME WILL LAG because Blizzard (for what appears to only be selfish reasons) requires you to have always online DRM. One might hope that "well at least the game (when you can actually play it) is good, right?" I wish I could tell you it's a good game. It is 2012 and this game looks 10 years old. At least. No joke. And, then the controls just plain ****. It might because of the 300+ ms of latency that the current servers are running at; hard to tell, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and *hope* that the gameplay improves if they do something with their servers (but why should they have to?!?!...) But really, how hard should it be to Point.. and Click... in a single player experience? I really wish I could 'review' the game. I mean, I've been waiting for this game for like 4 or 5 years when I heard the first rumors of a Diablo 3, but despite getting the game immediately on release day, I've only been able to play for a total of 4 hours or so because of the constant disconnections. I really don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a game. And that is really saying a lot.
