Unlike TLOU Part 1, a true remake of an amazing game. I first played the chainsaw demo, moving through the motions of the first part of the village. I finally pre-ordered the game with the Deluxe package, and to my surprise.. I got more than what I paid for. I paid for a good game to play, but instead I got an excellent adventure that fully depicts the contents of the original, as well as adding in its own flairs. I am extremely impressed with Capcom's new piece of art and will be more likely to buy things from them in the future.

I like this take on the God of War series. Instead of a simple closed world Hack n' Slash like the others, its a nice, exploration based open world masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, the previous GoW games were revolutionary to gaming, and some of my personal favorites. But the complexity and freedom this one gives you is on a completely different scale. A perfect set up for my personal favorite, Ragnarok.

My favorite part about this game, is that it's short yet there's so much to do. You hack and slash your way through everything, and it's so satisfying once you complete the game knowing that you have slaughtered all in your path. It's very rewarding based on your play style and you can truly feel the way Kratos is feeling while hes murdering another god.

The Last of Us Part I8

I'm in love with the game. I've played the original hundreds of times. So to see a remake of the same game with PS5 level performance captures my heart. But the point where it becomes difficult to even buy the game, is that it's the same thing, but 70 dollars. Not only that, but they took factions away. It is terrible to increase the game price by 10 dollars (SONY!) and remove a lovable feature. Although, the added difficulty and different ways to play make it much easier to buy. The Permadeath setting was perfect for TLOU2, so seeing the ability to challenge yourself in a new way on this particular game is enticing. Different themes also challenge you, as you see things in a different way. While it has its drawbacks, The Last of Us Part I is an amazing game and I recommend it to those who haven't experienced the journey between Joel and Ellie.
