It is funny as the more I play it the better this game gets and the more I want to keep playing. If you like exploration, player expression, customization, flashy combat and GORGEOUS GRAPHICS this is the game!

As someone who got all achievements for the original, once the Remake hit PS Plus of course I would give it a shot, even after all the complains. To not make this long, even with some shortcomings it is still a very fun game from beginning to end, so I encourage anyone slightly interested to give it a chance. Now, for those who still have the original, I must repeat what many had already said, there's no reason to buy the remake but if you have a month of PS Plus and are in the mood for horror, give it a shot. One thing I cannot look past is how they remade a 10 year plus game and the controls feel clunky still. Some prompts are hard to interact with, sometimes characters get stuck in stiff animations. About the other stuff, the more subjective aspects like soundtrack and light composition, while I prefer the original the new direction of the remake isn't as bad as some people make it out to be.

It's a disappointment or outright bad in pretty much everything except for the shooting which is actually really fun. If you want to shot something with some RPG elements on the background it's alright but if you're looking for something even remotely memorable just skip it.

When I ended my first playthrough all I could think was "what just happened?" but what I didn't question was how great of an experience I had. Silent Hill F is not afraid to take risks, break away from what may be considered expected of the series and actually tries new things which is all I've been earning for. As for the game, in short, I loved the atmosphere, the music and even the combat. The story is a little hard to follow in its entirety if you're not paying close attention but it was so good. It doesn't triumph SH2 Remake for me but if this is the new way of the series I want more.

It is simply amazing! I have been a fan of the series since the original release on the PSP and it is fantastic to see how far the series has come. This is the perfect entry point for newcomers. The game is full of charm, many quality of life additions that make it easy to jump in and for veterans to return to where it all started. There is a beefy demo for all platforms which covers the prologue and I encourage everyone mildly interested to at least try it for themselves.

It is not a bad game but even though I does some things right it has some problems that are hard to ignore. Ambience is good but the story is a convoluted mess, specially considering that for almost half of the game there is not story at all. The mechanic that enemies eat the dead ones from the floor is really nice but the game is so stingy with ammo and inventory space that it easily crosses the line from challenging to simply frustrating. The last gun in the game, I managed to get only THREE bullets for it. That is how low ammo you get. I honestly think that even if the game gave you 3 times more ammo it would be too little. In true survivor horror fashion, if you don't have much ammo, many games would give you an actual option that doesn't use ammo or the alternative to run away but here you have neither. In the end, I still encourage survival horror fans to give this a shot at some point because there is a nice game here but it has its flaws and if you pay full price for it you may also feel disappointed.

Truly something magical and not only that is was made by a small team of what? 33 people. The story is a big fantasy, full of amazing vistas, in the likes of my beloved series Final Fantasy, but the story goes much deeper than it at first glance, which makes it much more fulfilling by the end. The soundtrack is one for the ages. The music here truly stands on the same pedestal as the greatest. Combat manages to be engaging all the war through. Amazing how such a small addition of dodges and parries can go a long way and I dare say it manages to keep on more on your toes then many action RPGs out there, even though this is turn based at core. My complement also goes to the actors who all delivered an amazing performance all the way through. In the end of Act 1 you can feel everything. In short, a fantastic game that every RPG fan should play.

Fantastic game, undeniably a love letter to fans of old but since the game has so much praise already I'd like to share one of my main criticisms with the game: the combat. I'm not a fan of D&D combat but at the beginning it's not a problem since every encounter feels meticulously balanced but as the game goes on I felt like the difficulty curve was not thought out on the enemies themselves or positioning but simply numbers, so while I truly loved everything else about the game, towards the end when there was combat I was just glad to be done, something I rarely felt at the first Act. Also, the developer Larian had made a game before this called Divinity 2 and its combat SAS amazing from beginning to end, so for those like me who had played it out felt like a step backwards.

I don't think I need to say how hailed the original game has been throughout the years, so for the remake, the story is still fantastic but I'd like to point two things I outright loved: - Atmosphere of the games manages to be even better, even more oppressive, with a haunting music that never stops and only goes deeper on making you feeling scared. - Acting is one thing many longtime fans of the series hold on to, and sure the original had its charm but here it is so good, so full of nuance, making every character more grounded.
