Elden Ring 1.5. Hands down the best DLC From Soft ever made, it's beautiful and absolutely massive, bigger than most standard games out there to the point where calling this a DLC is almost an insult. 10/10
From Soft’s definitive soulslike masterpiece. Now entering the open world and being better than ever. Hype is absolutely real, one of the best games of all time, period. 10/10
Absolutely loving it. There are problems with it, it’s not exactly what people thought it would be, but I cannot stop playing. Addicting gameplay loop, co-op playground for Elden Ring fans. Fantastic playable characters, breathtaking bosses and amazing soundtrack. Great game that can reach a masterpiece status if the right updates are added. Specifically, it desperately needs more enemies and map variety and spice up the randomization factor a bit. 8/10
Not good in basically every aspect. Visuals, gameplay, music, it’s all just straight up bad to be honest. The story is very juvenile, so target audience is likely little kids, but there are so many better games in this genre, so many better options even for them. Every level gets more and more annoying to the point where in the end I was thinking that this must be one of the worst gaming experiences I ever had. 1/10
Fantastic game with tons of unnecessary problems. It scratches that Dark Souls itch with progressing massive levels and opening shortcuts, amazing fights and combat system, but it’s drowned in overcomplicated mechanics and fluff. Too much everything, too much gear, weapons, repetitive side missions, the game is shooting itself in the foot. If the entire dark realms, yokai shifts and all that nonsense has been removed and it was just a samurai running around feudal Japan, the entire game would be way better. That said, it’s still probably the best souls game outside of From Soft. 8/10
The absolute godfather of stealth games. Still better than most even after 25 years. Love the dark and serious tone fantasy aspect. Loved the missions and fantastic audio. Some of the levels can be quite chaotic to navigate tho, so you might end up running around, hopelessly lost in the dark. Maybe that was the point? 9/10
Surprising masterpiece! 2d dark souls spiced with anime? Sign me up. It’s a perfect game, stunning visuals, fluid gameplay and one of the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard in a video game. I literally cannot think of 1 single negative thing. 10/10
Absolutely phenomenal and unique experience in hand-drawn medieval Europe. Fantastic story, characters and world building. The only thing missing is the voice acting, but Lingua Ignota makes it up in the final credits. Highly recommended. 10/10
Not bad. Lots of cars into your collection and plenty of racing objectives, even a story which is rare for a racing game. The biggest problem though is the controls, it’s not super responsive and fluid as you would like it to be, especially for the arcade racer. 7/10
Oldschool arcade racer ala Lotus series from the 90’s. Tight controls, huge variety of tracks all around the world and most importantly - hours of fun. The only weaknesses are a lack of online multiplayer, buggy save system prone to crashes and the music, which is borderline annoying, sometimes it sounds like some random junk playing over another random junk. 8/10
Very unique experience and atmosphere, definitely worth one playthrough. Empty world with epic bosses. The big problem is the controls, the game feels very clunky, everything is slow in response, so the gameplay aspect can feel a bit frustrating. After finishing, instead of going to NG+, I’m just glad it’s over. 7/10
Hardcore, hardcore to the mega! This is the closest we got to Planescape: Torment in decades. Fantastic world building, story, art and music. It’s a click & read type game, no fluid gameplay and even years after release, there are still many technical glitches, so it’s definitely not for everyone, but if you give it a shot it will reward you with extremely unique experience and atmosphere that you won’t forget. 9/10
This android story really got me. The best Quantic Dreams game so far and one of the best story games in general (or interactive movies rather). Some moments and choices made me really emotional and when a game manages to do that it means it's a high quality material. 9/10
Sekiro is absolutely amazing. After a long time of playing Souls games I felt that brand new experience feeling and got my ass kicked properly. It feels like From Soft has been learning all these years, perfecting all their tricks to come up with this masterpiece from their homeland Japan. I love this setting and feel of the world. Combat is the most intense and satisfying and being a single player only is actually a good thing in my mind. Zero bugs nad 100% rock solid, the only thing that broke during my play-through was my Xbox One controller by playing this game so hard. The only problem compared to previous Souls games is the re-playability factor, absolute lack of different weapons, characters and builds, so after completing the game 4 times for all different endings, there is not much reason to play it again, until the DLC is released. 10/10
I'm playing Hearthstone form the start and this might actually be the worst expansion yet. It has a similar feel of Goblins and Gnomes which is definitely bad since that was the worst expansion up to this date. Almost no new cards had an impact on the game and new decks were mostly some crazy OTK combo decks with little to no interactivity, just waiting for the right cards to be drawn. Puzzles for a single player content were cool for a few hours and I never touched them after initial release. The only good thing about this expansion I think is a pretty good balance between classes and because most cards were undervalued, there was no crazy OP crap to deal with. So balance-wise this is a good time, but everything else failed. No substantial improvements in sight, where is the deck slots limit increase players are praying for for years now for example? Where is the in game deck winrate stats tracking? Seems like Hearthstone devs are getting lazy in the last few expansions, hopefully this trend won't continue. 4/10
I think this is where Hearthstone expansions cycle started going downhill. All the previous expansions had something special and exciting going for them. Not so much this one. I still like the slightly mysterious atmosphere of The Witchwood, but Monster Hunt was basically a less exciting reskin of dungeon runs from Kobolds and Catacombs and with the exception of odd and even decks, not so many new cards had a huge impact on the game. After years of playing Hearthstone this was the first time that I actually stopped playing for a few months which speaks for itself. 6/10
In these kind of low gameplay, story-driven games it's all about the quality of writing, is the story actually good enough to catch you and keep you playing. With Beyond it took some time before this effect kicks in, but especially in the second half it gets really good, I liked the story and I even started to like the main character. Not as good as Heavy Rain, but still impressive story that's worth going through once. 7/10
At first, this expansion didn't seem like much, legendary weapons are not as cool or high-impacty as hero death knights from Frozen Throne. Many cards might seem slightly underwhelming at first, but the more I play the more I love it. No completely broken cards, very diversified meta, nice oldschool dungeon atmosphere and most importantly - Dungeon Runs! By far the best single player/pve content Hearthstone ever offered. Rogue-like ever-changing source of fun. During first week of expansion I wasn't even interested in playing PVP because I had so much fun doing one dungeon run after another. I still have the problem with how little rewarding Hearthstone is compared to some other games. The overall accessibility of content should still be improved. Legendary weapons for instance should have been given as a reward for completing the dungeon run with that class and some additional reward system should be connected to playing this mode, because now that I finished all classes, there is no incentive to play the mode further except for occasional fun runs, you cannot even finish your quests in there. But other than that and few minor gripes (number of deck slots limit is really getting annoying more and more with time). Hearthstone as a game is overall getting better and I'm pretty happy with it current state and hope it will continue to improve. 9/10
The Frozen Throne era is coming to it's end so I can finally review it all in retrospect. First of all, this new tempo of putting out full card expansions every few months is definitely not the way to go. Blizzard should focus more on quality/balance, rather than quantity and frequency of releases. This way, you just don't have enough time to collect all the cards and enjoy all new deck archetypes. I play HS every day, grinding the ladder, doing arena runs every time I have enough gold and I even bought the preorder 50 packs bundle, but even for me, there is just no way you can collect all important cards in such short time period. The problem started when they introduced 2 legendaries for each class including the expansion-specific such as quests, hero cards and now the upcoming legendary weapons. These should be obtainable through PVE story mode that they introduced they way you could obtain cards in the old story expansion. For instance, in Frozen Throne, you had to beat Lich King with each class, which was fun and challenging, one of the best pve content they released so far, but no real rewards except alternate hero portrait. Way to go would be to give you hero class card for each class you beat the boss with. You will still have a ton of standard minion class legendaries as well as neutral legendaries package to collect, but you will also have important unlocked important expansions specific cards to actually enjoy the content during it's expansion cycle. Speaking of hero class cards, one of the best parts of the expansion, almost all of them are highly playable, in some cases even meta defining, fun to use and just overall a success as opposed to quests from the last Ungoro expansion which was cool, but overall an epic failure. There was only one good, fun and playable quest (Rogue) and they eventually nerfed it under the pressure of crying community, now the quest is 100% dead just like all the others. Overall, The Frozen Throne is a very solid expansion, with quality hero cards and good PVE content. I still prefer Ungoro because of it's jungle theme, but in many ways Frozen Throne was a step forward, duplicate legendaries filter was a beautiful addition for example. Blizzard just really needs to adjust the card distribution model or release cycle, because this way, there is still no way you can enjoy it fully even when you pay full game price for each expansion release. I imagine that for 100% F2P players, or people that doesn't play every day the experience must be a nightmare. 8/10
I came to Legends from Hearthstone just to check it out, but I instantly fell in love with it and as a result I found myself playing Hearthstone less and less and Legends more and more. Gameplay is really good, art is beautiful (it doesn't look like it's designed for 3 year olds like HS) and meta/decks seem to be very well balanced. Climbing the ladder each season is also much less tedious as there is a checkpoint on every rank. The only problems I see is slightly clunky and slow UI/menus and completing your card collection full of various multiple legendaries can be very slow, especially with no legendary duplicate filter active, even in Hearthstone you cannot get duplicate legendaries anymore, so this is definitely something to improve in the future. Overall, with some additional work, code optimization and mentioned card collection improvements, TESL can easily become the best card game on the market. 9/10
Pretty solid horror experience. Audio/visual quality and the overall presentation is quite high and there is no shortage of scary or shocking moments which is what you mostly want from a horror. There might be a little too many typical teen cliches thrown in but at least it changes pace in the second half, the entire thing also escalates a little too quickly to my taste, I always enjoy horrors at the beginning when the tension is building up before it gets all crazy and that's cut pretty quickly here. In terms of gameplay it's just some basics, with various QTE thrown in, this is more about the story and decisions you make than the actual gameplay, but in terms of horror experience you get from it, it works pretty well. 7/10
Very slow start as most of the good stuff in this game is kinda buried under the massive amounts of generic quests and collectibles, but once you actually get to the good stuff - main story, companions and their quests, exploring varied and beautiful locations and building your inquisition, the game becomes really good. Huge improvement over the disappointing DA2 and in some aspects it's even better than Origins (more openworld locations, Skyhold with all it's glory...), even though Origins still remains to be the best one in the series. All 3 additional DLC's are nice with atmospheric Descent dungeon crawl and reunion with your companions in Trespasser being one of the highlights of the entire game. Overall, fantastic RPG, almost 200 hours worth of fun (mostly). 9/10
Basically a playable TV show with 5 episodes, but with a really good story, nice setting (I felt strong Twin Peaks vibe, which is never a bad thing) and overall I enjoyed the entire experience quite a bit. Of course in terms of gameplay, it's nothing to write home about and performance/optimization could be better, but compared to similar Telltale stuff, I would say that this is 1 step better and I hope to see more material like this from the Dontnot dev team. 8/10
As far as quality **** shooting go, Old Blood is doing a really good job. I grew up on Wolfenstein 3D, so some parts such as difficulty selection or secret Wolf3D level that even contained the same secret placements got my nostalgia all pumped up. I really like the fluidity of gameplay and various weapons. Few genuine funny moments too. Considering it's just a DLC i was also pleasantly surprised by it's length, by the time I thought it's over it was just the half-time. Last but not least - the song that plays during final credits is an absolute monster track, I don't remember when I enjoyed final credits as much as here. Now I'm kinda tempted to play New Order. 8/10
Absolutely love this expansion! Last one (Mean Streets of Gadgetzan) was a bit lackluster, I didn't like the theme and all that cards did was the creation of annoying aggro pirate decks. Journey to Un'Goro is just the opposite. I love the theme and atmosphere of all the wild life, dinosaurs and flora of Un'Goro crater is just beautiful. In terms of cards it not only creates a ton of cool new minions, but also a variety of quests, allowing each class a brand new gamestyle. Probably my favourite expansion yet, the only problem i have with it is that there are so many new legendaries, but they are so hard to get without spending millions. I even bought the initial 50 packs bundle and got only 1 legendary out of it. This is something Blizzard should improve. 9/10
Very nice DLC closure to one of the best series. Especially the ending area, theme and atmosphere are really strong. Not everything is perfect, some obligatory running around in swamps and one boss with billion hp felt a bit annoying, but the final impression is strongly positive. It's basically double the size of Ashes of Ariandel filled with quality content, including cool new weapons, enjoyable covenant and some very juicy lore bits. I'm really interested in what From Soft is going to do next and I wish them good luck, because it's going to be extremely hard to top the quality of Dark Souls, but judging from Bloodborne, definitely not impossible and I can't wait for their new projects. 8/10
Wow, this one is hard to review. I'm a huge CRPG fan and original Torment is still to this day one of my favourite games of all time, so I was hyped for this. I loved all the new projects that resurrected the genre including Pillars Of Eternity, Wasteland 2, Shadowruns, Tyranny... But this one is where I'm the most conflicted. First, the good. Story, writing, dialogs, all of it is superb. It's probably the best story of all the previously mentioned titles and in this field it really holds the candle to the original Torment. Another amazing aspect is the uniqueness of the world and the weird factor of everything. Not really a fantasy, not really a sci-fi, something weird in between. Creating a really special experience and atmosphere. Unlike most others, I liked the visuals, the backgrounds of the world and Mark Morgan did a decent job with the music, recreating that special Torment feeling a bit with reverbed pianos adding some new fresh flavours. I love the game for all of this and it was a great adventure. But then, there is the bad. Combat is absolutely terrible. Whoever thought that making this full turn-based is a good idea was just wrong. It made certain amount of sense in Wasteland2 or Shadowrun, with the cover system, snipers, grenades and it all felt like an X-Com light, all good. But here it's just annoying, it slows the game to no end, there is no way to outplay your opponent by skill, by the actual gameplay, it's all about stats and most importantly it's not FUN at all. And the final nail in the coffin - the bugs. Combat is completely and utterly glitched, Enemy characters stops doing anything, unable to progress the game, some battles overheat the GPU and a few solid freezes to top it off. I had to restart final battle like 10 times to progress further, without the option to save doing everything again, forced to suffer these horrendous combat mechanics. Ugh, price of being naive/hyped and buying the game on release I guess. Fortunately most fights can be avoided and solved via dialogs, so in the end I had like 6 fights in the entire game, which might be another massive let-down for some. Also, one of the most important parts of any RPG - character progression, is a complete fail. While I liked the fact that it tried to do something different with stat edges, efforts and so on. Everything else just falls flat. No good new weapons, spells are very few and mostly useless and cyphers ended up being just a junk that you collect and overload your characters with. Speaking of characters, that's another disappointment, most characters here are totally bland and forgettable and unfortunately I didn't really found any sympathies to my companions either, which is really bad especially if you compare them to the original Torment which had one better companion than the other. Thinking about it. You don't even really have much choice here, I just played the game with the same 4 guys I found in the first city and never met anyone else that would be interested or interesting for that matter. Zero to little voiceover doesn't help either. These games always had only the important parts voiced, but here it goes to the extremes of lackluster, I just wonder where all the budget went. Considering relatively short length. It took me around 40 hours to finish it, doing everthing, which is not bad, but feeling-wise, especially in the second half it felt a little rushed and unfinished. In The Bloom where I thought I'm somewhere in the middle it was basically the end. That said, despite so many bad aspects, I still love the game for it's story and the feelings it gave me. Story is fantastic and reading is what you will be doing here 90% of the time. It almost feels like this is more **** (especially the merecaster parts), and interactive reading experience, not a full RPG package. Considering what it promised to be and considering presenting itself as the most funded kickstarter RPG, it ultimately might feel like a disappointment for many. Disappointment that I actually loved playing through with absolutely fantastic story in a unique world, but still a disappointment. 7/10
Solid closure to the Starcraft 2 story, but arguably the weakest of the 3. Main problem is that if you've played previous terran and zerg campaigns, this is basically playing the same thing for the 3rd time, even some missions feel rehashed. Not to talk about the fact that the story shouldn't have been divided into 3 games and should have been released complete from the start, but that's another discussion. When I finished previous 2 campaigns I was excited and was looking forward to another, but when I finished Legacy Of The Void I was just happy that it's finally over and that's never a good sign. Still worth a playthrough, but... 6/10
Second part of the Startcraft 2 story, now the Zerg campaign with Kerrigan as the main protagonist. It's very good for what it is and I liked the story mode, Kerrigan is cool and so are her other Zerg buddies, but I'm giving it a 1 point lower score compared to the first one. It was all a bit too easy, but the main problem for me is simply the fact that while in the 90's Starcraft you had all 3 races and their story campaigns in 1 game, now they basically force you to buy 3 games to complete the full story. 7/10
I was expecting it to be good, but I was not expecting it to be one of the best, if not the best platformer I have ever played. Visually it's absolutely breathtaking, music is fantastic, gameplay is fluid and fun, story can move your heart, the world is thoughtfully designed with lots of secrets and there is just the right amount of challenge to keep your blood pumping. There is not a single bad thing I can think of. A masterpiece of platformers. 10/10
My first playthrough - 10 hours, over 600 deaths, and that's without many extra achievements that I'm about to go for now. That explains all. If you like to challenge yourself, and you don't mind repetition and a bit of frustration, this is for you. In my eyes, Titan souls ranks among the good indie games with solid gameplay. Many refer to it as 2D Dark Souls, but that's not really the case, boss fights in Dark Souls is only one of the parts of the game, arguably the worst one and Titan Souls offers only this. I see it more as an action puzzle game where most of the time you spend figuring out the boss mechanics and how to beat them and then perfecting the execution to actually do it. Music is nice, visually it's a kind of FEZ-like pixel graphics and that's not the only thing TS has in common with FEZ. It seems that in both cases game devs are kind of ****, crying on the internet when someone doesn't like their game. Not really a good PR or professional attitude at all. I wanted to buy the game on release, but because of this I just waited until it's free on PSN, so hopefully they will learn from this and will get better in the future, because talent to make good games is obviously there and I enjoyed Titan Souls quite a bit. 7/10
Not really a game, more like pressing X while reading white text on black background. There's no real gampelay, no choices, 100% linear and 1 hour long. All of that would be relatively fine as a short story project, if it was for free and if it was technically on a good level. But this is likely the most minimalistic game I have ever experienced. It's really just a few rooms in low-tech pixel graphics probably taken out of some game editor, walls of simple white text, music is just few seconds long loops that you could literally make better in a few minutes messing in Fruity Loops and most importantly - it's bugged and most trophies don't pop when they should. How do you make 100% linear x pressing 1 hour long game and still infest it with bugs is beyond me. It's pretty clear that no or very little effort went into making this and it must show in my final score. I appreciate the story/portrait and I wanted to like it more, but unfortunately couldn't and the bugs killed it for me. Also, games are there to help you escape the problems of real world, you don't really need a game to remind you how everything ****, even though I can relate. 2/10
Another excellent cyberpunk story from Shadowrun universe, I loved Shadowrun Returns and this is arguably even slightly better. I really liked the entire Berlin atmosphere, mysteries of dragons and interesting companions. The only problem is - if you played Shadowrun Returns, this is basically the same thing, same UI, talents, portraits and so on, so it's more like an expansion rather than new game, basically playing the same game again with different story/setting, but I'm not gonna argue since it's so good and I'm looking forward to Hong Kong. 9/10
After kind of a weak start, where you are thrown into things too fast, making decisions about things you don't know, dealing with things you don't care about (during my first day of playing I was heavily unimpressed with everything and it took some time to get me into it), Tyranny eventually turns into an amazing RPG experience. It's a perfect balance of dialogs and combat, there are plenty of very nice innovations and changes, I loved the skill system, various reputations with factions and people in the world that unlocked additional skills. The Spire system was great. The combo abilities is a very nice touch. It's not as complex in terms of side quests and side activities as other similar rpgs, but that might have been for good this time, it's much more direct and focused on the main story which is really good and the entire journey is much more compact and to the point. A little short for an RPG and maybe a little too linear, but quality is always more important than quantity. Captivating story, interesting characters, nice unusual locations, smooth UI, it's all there. My only complaints aside from a weaker start, is the loot, which for a long time felt like tons of useless junk, especially in the first half and even later when you started to find some legendary items, they are often actually worse than that random junk that you found earlier. Another problem, that's starting to annoy me more and more in time is the lack of voice acting. Especially when some parts are voice acted and it works so well and suddenly a sentence later it's silent again. I know it's always been like this with these games, I know it's a question of budget, but come on, it's 2016 it's time to progress in this department. Also - no co-op multiplayer again :( On the other hand I was very pleasantly surprised, these rpgs tend to be very buggy and considering I started playing on release I was worried, but the game was updated with just 1 additional patch in the meantime and I haven't encountered any bugs whatsoever this time. I can't stress enough how important this is for your smooth gaming experience, not having to deal with bugs and I'm glad Obsidian took their time to polish and clean things up before release. Overall, excellent, unusual RPG that can easily rank among the best in recent years, not the top5, not legendary, but really really good. 9/10
Even for people like me who don't normally play sports, or racing games, this is a perfect combination of both. Football with little cars basically, but it's just FUN. Pure joy from the most important thing in games - the actual gameplay. It's fluid, well-produced, still entertaining even after months of playing... I love Rocket League. 9/10
I seem to be a minority, but I really liked this DLC. True, compared to Artorias, it's a bit on the shorter side, but it's just the first half of 2 DLC's and what is here is high quality content. I like the overall theme and atmosphere reminding me of Painted world of Ariamis, one of my favourite locations of DS1. Level design is really good, true Souls style of exploration, opening shortcuts and eventual connectivity of the entire place together. New weapons and armor sets are pretty cool. Many of them with very unique features and movesets, such as Valorheart for ancient Greece style warriors, Crow Quills for dex assassins or my favourite - Onyx Blade, one of the most beautiful swords in the series. One of the 2 bosses (the main one) is absolutely amazing battle, ranking to one of my all-time favourites, while the other - (optional one) is kinda weak and forgettable. I'm a bit disappointed with very few new spells/pyros/miracles which are mostly not anything to write home about. Also, the way the DLC is presented and not really connected to the main game is not as smooth as you're used to. However, by far the best feature of this DLC that has been sorely missing in the main game is finally the inclusion of easy to access and very good PvP arena that I already spent tens of hours, still having fun with it. People who buy this strictly for PvE will probably be a bit disappointed with the short length, but otherwise I would say it's a must have for most Souls fans and people who enjoyed DS3. 8/10
Old Hunters is a pretty solid expansion that adds more Bloodborne content and should be a must pick for all Bloodborne fans. On the other hand, I wasn't really blown away by it in a way I was with vanilla game, it doesn't really improve the base game, just adds more stuff, areas, few bosses and plays it quite safe. Bosses I feel are the strongest part, with again fantastic music and challenge, Lady Maria being my favourite, intensive and hard duel in a beautiful setting. From weapons I loved the new Moonlight sword which in combination with Loch shield and metal helm pushed me to create a really nice paladin character. On the other hand, i was not such a huge fan of new locations and the overall story left me a bit disappointed by the time I finished it. However, it made me go through entire Bloodborne again and refreshed my opinion that this game is just a total masterpiece. 7/10
At first I was sceptical, because I'm not a big fan of goofy side of Hearthstone, but Karazhan turned out to be really fun and quality expansion. Solo adventure had a few pretty good moments with unique game mechanics (Netherspite), solid challenges in Heroic mode (Malchezaar double battle) or completely different playstyle in my personal favourite chess battle. Cards are nice and some of them pretty useful, almost class defining, such as Fool's Bane that turns warrior into berserk killing machine. Overall I'm really happy with the quality of Hearthstone additions lately so let's hope it will continue. 8/10
From the perspective a of a Souls veteran who put thousands of hours into previous titles, I'm actually glad that this is supposed to be the last one. While it's still pretty good Souls material, it has it's moments and I really enjoyed my playthroughs, I must say, this has been my least favourite entry in the series. It lacks it's own unique flavor, most places you visit, you feel like you've been there before, most NPC's you meet you feel like you've met before, most items and weapons are straight up copy-paste from previous games, it just feels like playing the same thing all over again, I appreciate the nostalgic tidbits here and there, but this went a little bit too far, whole experience felt too repetitive, like all previous Souls titles mixed together without creating it's own unique identity. It's still an amazing game that's worth playing through at least once, but the thing is, Demon Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne were true masterpieces, even Dark Souls 2 while it had some problems, I enjoyed it more, mainly for it's amazing multiplayer/pvp/covenants, which is another area where DS3 is seriously lacking. The fact that it's probably the most linear of all Souls games doesn't help either and severely hurts replayability. To end the review on a praising the sun note, world design is again top notch here, very complex especially in it's verticality, some areas such as Irithyll are just beautiful, gameplay is still fun, bosses that stand out this time for me were Abyss Watchers, Dancer or Nameless King. Some of the lore elements were very interesting, entire questline with Yuria and lord of hollows, mysteries around Londor or children of Gwynevere, very good stuff and it made me go back for some more digging, so as I said, still a great game and a suiting end to the franchise, but... I hope this was truly the last Souls title and I'm looking forward to see something really new from From Soft next time, because the talent is absolutely still there, they just need to focus on new ideas instead of rehashing the old ones. 8/10
The Witcher 3 was amazing game at release, but it had some problems, however, CDPR kept fixing and improving to the point of perfection, then released exceptional DLC Hearts Of Stone with one of the best story lines ever and now closing the chapter with this beautiful adventure. I wouldn't even call it a DLC, because I spent over 50 hours playing through all the content which is massive and more than many regular games can offer for a full price. While Hearts of Stone focused on the main story, but the sauce around it wasn't anything special, this is just the opposite. Blood and Wine still has a good main story, but the main draw of this DLC imo is everything else, beautiful location, exploring, all the side quests and activities you can do, having your own house, legendary new items, new mutation tree, once again amazing soundtrack... after quite a long break since the last time I played TW3 I didn't really want to go back, but this world and characters absorbed me once again and I don't want to leave now, which is the best thing the game can give you. Overall, when I look at retrospectively, The Witcher 3, with all the upgrades and improvements over the last year, plus 2 absolutely amazing DLC's has become one of the best games, not just in the RPG genre, but overall and in time it will be ranked among the legends. 10/10
Original Starcraft is legendary and to this day one of the best RTS games of all time, combining 3 completely different, yet perfectly balanced races. SC2 is a nice revival of this classic for younger generations, in case of Wings of Liberty with very nice terran story campaign. Every single mission is fun and with different flavour, intermissions on Hyperion, research, interacting with other crew members etc. is a cool addition. I'm looking forward to other chapters and I hope they will keep or even improve on this quality. The only complaint is separation into 3 parts, forcing you to buy main game and 2 DLCs, there were times in history when this wasn't needed, SC1 had all 3 campaigns from the start, so it's just a sad observation of where the gaming industry went. 8/10
Definitely a unique experience. This game messes with your expectations quite a bit, it's playing with your imagination and despite being what it is, it can be actually pretty atmospheric, even reaching the horror genre in places. Yes, it's extremely short and in terms of gameplay, you don't really do all that much besides walking and interacting with objects, but not every game needs to be 100h long rpg masterpiece, this is just something different and every once in a while it's nice to play something like this. 7/10
I played MGS back in the 90's and I remember it being pretty good, but now after replaying it almost 20 years later I'm glad to realize that the legend is true and this is actually a timeless masterpiece that aged extremely well and still is one of the best pieces of art in this genre. Amazing story, characters, atmosphere, gameplay, boss fights, this game can also troll you pretty hard in a clever way. It's a complete experience, extremely compact and well-made. A Classic. Now I'm looking forward to play the sequels to see if they can keep this level of quality or maybe even surpass it. 10/10
Extremely fun multiplayer fps with solid gameplay and production quality polish. Main strength are the various heroes with completely different playstyles that will keep you entertained for a long time. The main weakness is the serious lack of content as of right now. This game needs more maps and more game modes especially with more focus on solo play, so deathmatch kind of stuff, I'm playing the game solo, so it can be very hit or miss due to it's team based nature based on what team mates you get. 8/10
Surprisingly good. It's basically Hearthstone where beautiful hi-res pictures are replaced by cute pixel art and with more depth by adding another strategic element of placement of your minions on battlefield. While it borrows from Hearthstone very heavily in some of it's mechanics, it can be actually a good thing, because it makes it easier for you to get into it. The question is - will it have the same lasting appeal and will the game still be enjoyable after months and years of gameplay the same way Hearthstone is, only time will tell, but so far I'm having a good time. 8/10
True blast from the past, 80's to be more specific. Love the music, atmosphere, humour and it's just overall fun experience. A little short, but at least it ends before it can start to get repetitive and you can enjoy it fully even with all the side activities. A pleasant little surprise. 8/10
C'Thun, C'THUN, C'THUN!!! Someone was under a heavy Lovecraft influence or playing too much Bloodborne when making this expansion and I love it. The entire old gods theme is just amazing, finally cards in Hearthstone that are not completely kiddie & goofy, much much better than both GvG and TGT. With these cards and new standard format, this has been the biggest change in decks in Hearthstone history and it feels like a very welcome refreshment. By far the best Hearthstone expansion yet. 9/10
One of the gems that escaped me on it's release and I'm glad to say that the legend is real. Fantastic RPG. From todays point of view, visuals look a bit dated, interface and inventory might not be the best and especially towards the end it's probably way too much black & white, light vs dark cliche, but other than that, most of the game is extremely good. Captivating story, interesting characters and quests, sense of adventure and travelling between different planets on your ship with your crew. Bioware did a great job here. Amazing Star Wars experience that should not be missed. Curious about the sequel now. 9/10
Even though I'm a huge Blizzard fan and I love basically all their games, the only one that always flew under my radar was WoW, I never liked MMO genre, so I just ignored it back when it was released and never even tried it. Recently however, there was a cross-game event to get a new hero for Hearthstone by leveling up a character in Wow to level 20 and to level 20 there is a Starter edition to try out for free, so I just said to myself - why not, let's do it, it should be fun. But it really wasn't. I spent 3 days in this and I don't ever remember playing such a boring rpg with such generic quests. Maybe it was just my starting zone (Chose the beloved night elves), but the story never got interesting, all quests are either fetch quests like go there get the 5 of this and bring it back, or go there kill 6 of these and come back to me and it's going like this over and over. Combat is really bad, there is no challenge, no fluid combat mechanics, if you are used to complex responsive combat systems such as Souls series, this is a joke compared, basically click on thing and wait until it's dead. The online element of other players running around the same world doing the same thing as you seemed more annoying than anything, conflicting with my quests and so on. Yes, the world is huge, there are many different starting zones and I'm sure that back in the day this was a big thing that you could lost yourself for countless days, but from today's point of view it really doesn't have much to offer. That said I definitely see the influence this game had, the only other mmorpg i played was Guild Wars 2 and even though I think that was much better and fun game, you can really see how much it drew from WoW, the interface, all the systems etc. and I'm sure this will be true for many others from this genre. But once again I realized that this genre is probably not for me and I'm gonna stick with good old RPGs with strong stories and interesting quests. 4/10
Best Hearthstone adventure yet and my favourite expansion so far. Love the Indiana Jones style atmosphere, new characters and especially new cards that I kept on using after finishing the solo campaign. Keep it up Hearthstone creators, this is the way to go. 9/10
