GTAV is a good game, but it has problems. The world is beautifully made with a high detail level. The story is okay. The cars and other vehicles have good variation. Mechanics are good but could be better. Especially character movement. It's a little awkward and not solid. And there's no hanging from ledges which can be annoying. Take a wrong step and you fall of the building. There's not much to say about story mode that hasn't been said before, so the following will be based on the online portion of the game. GTA Online is sometimes alot of fun. When you're playing with a friend/friends and get the creativity flowing, it's really fun. You will come up with some crazy **** to experiment with. However, things get boring quickly and if you don't come up with new things to try then it's not exactly great. Like the game isn't really interesting enough on it's own. It requires your input to be interesting and fun. And you can't feel creative all the time, right? It also has some balance issues and there's still cheaters roaming free. Balance issues I mean for example the CoD kid trick as me and a friend call it. These easy way taking noobs killing you from their super cars while facing you with the rear of the car, taking advantage of its 100% bulletproof cover. It's absurd how things like this remains unpatched, while the Sticky Bomb trick was patched (you put a Sticky Bomb on a player then that player goes into Passive Mode and you go after people and the player with the bomb is unaffected by the explosion). Also the money system is clearly designed around micro transactions (and they're not that micro either). If you prefer to progress without paying real money (if you're a morally and mentally stable person), then you will have to grind and grind until your mind is numb from boredom. Unless you play heists. But those require four players (apart from first one which requires two). And inot everyone have three friends who don't mind, have time or whatever to play with you and two others. And it's not like that mode has been there since launch... And, the draw distance is horrible. Same goes for the range of weapons. Any range from medium to long requires a sniper rifle. So it gets boring sometimes because it turns into a sniper game. And that wouldn't be a problem if the sniping was good. It's not. You can't go prone and camouflage is rarely used. Overall though it's a good game.

Best game ever made. This is the only "old" game I can still go back to and enjoy it. Every aspect is masterfully crafted. Gameplay is fun and story is entertaining and meaningful. Its only flaw is that they closed down the servers for MGO1.

There's so much Konami could do with the Metal Gear franchise, and they decide to do some random survival game?! How about creating something new for MGSV? New content for MGO3? Remake the classics? Add online modes to the HD Collection? Nope, they created a game literally no one wanted instead. Epic business move there. What's next? MGS1 remake outsourced to Blizzard?

Most disappointing game ever! I used to play MGO2 as my main game for years. That game had charm, a learning curve and it was its own thing. MGO3 is supposed to be a follow-up to MGO2?! It's literally an insult to even call it MGO. It has such a poor amount of content that it might as well have been an extra feature on the iDroid in TPP called "Versus Ops" and perhaps then it wouldn't be as bad. Calling it MGO and having it separate puts expectations on it. Expectations that it doesn't even come close to living up to. The worst part is that some content is actually pretty good. Some maps and modes. Bounty Hunter is a fresh take on TDM. You can tell there was talent in the team. The issue must have been the leadership ordering a third person CoD so they could focus on a "wide western audience." Though luck! That audience doesn't exist. They expected people to leave behind CoD and BF for this mess? And the fans of MGO want niche. We don't want some third person CoD with the MGO name slapped on and a few semi-niche features which doesn't change the overall impression enough anyway. Konami quickly abandoned this game. Perhaps they knew you can't polish a turd. Positives: A few good maps and the modes are decent. Negatives: - Ridiculously low amount of content throughout the game. Modes, maps, unique characters, weapons and gear. Where's SNE, RES, TDM and CAP? And where's the classic MGS locations turned into maps? - There's no "MGS feel." The legacy of MGS has been ignored. No maps for example is taken from any of the classics, which wasn't the case in MGO2. - Lacking options when hosting. - Stealth camo in any mode makes the game unbalanced. - Features taken directly from other games such as Ascension. - Gameplay gets boring quickly. - Poor mic support on the PS3 version.

10/10? A masterpiece? Best game ever? Who's everyone rating this game like it's a masterpiece? To me it's mediocre. It has its peaks. Sometimes it's enjoyable. But as others have said it has too many poor design choices to be good or above that. There's nothing special here. Story is just cliché medieval fantasy with boring conversations adding nothing to the main plot. Combat is mostly unbalanced. Enemies are either too easy or suicide level challenging. It's painfully obvious how the developers made soldiers almost impossible to kill to force people into fighting monsters, so reviews wouldn't say "It's like Assassin's Creed." Mission payouts are close to 0. What you're gonna do with 50 Coins? Might as well loot everything and sell that for better profit. Perhaps you earn more later. I might figure that out some day. There's alot potential here. The design of the world is impressively detailed (especially rural locations), but that's pretty much the only impressive aspect. Back to my question. Who's everyone rating this game like it's a masterpiece? I know who. It's kids who aren't old enough to know the true masterpieces of gaming, and those who love it just because of the genre of setting and/or gameplay. To me it's nowhere close masterpieces such as BO3. I mean... masterpieces such as MGS3.
