Death Stranding: Director's Cut7
Apr 1, 2025
It's an alright game if you are bored, but there is just so many frustrating issues that the longer you play, the more annoyed you get. My number 1 issue is the fact the map was clearly not designed for vehicles. It feels like they finished the game, realised walking the hole time would ****, and so they added vehicles. Every object will stop you in its tracks, and there is rocks everywhere. Even a rock that is half the size if your vehicle's wheels, will cause you to crash. You will eventually get roads to some areas, but other places will still require some offroading. Not just this but the vehicle mechanics are some of the worst I have seen from a triple A developer in which half the game is driving. We had better vehicles in games that are 20 years old. My second issue is the way the story is told. It's just long dialogue dumps of holograms. You very rarely communicate with NPCs in person. The protagist "Sam" is extremely hard to connect to because he never speaks. Someone will be talking about a really difficult subject, and you won't say a word. They will even ask you a question, and you will just ignore them. Did the writers just quit halfway through writing his character or something? This is just embarrassing.
Overall, the characters in this game just have no depth at all. Because you mostly see them in holograms or they are voicing their memoirs, you never get attached to them. They just feel like another NPC. The story feels like it should be at the front of this game, but instead it takes a back seat. There is no difficulty in this game. In fact the hardest part is trying to drive a vehicle without crashing. The main enemy "BTs" can be shaken off by mashing a button. When getting caught should be a threat. You also got the MULEs which can be beaten down easily. They have a ranged attack, but they throw it blindfolded, so can't even get hit by it if you tried to. The game also gives you S tear weapons near the start, so enemies instantly become pointless. Both mules and BTs. The gameplay isn't bad, and has a lot of interesting ideas. I love the player interaction system, where you like each other's structures. Delivering cargo is ****. This game is kind of like the city builder games, where you mindlessly play it and don't really need to put much thought into anything. It tries to make some areas more intense, but its just an illusion. I hope in the sequel they fix the issues with vehicles, story, and characters. If they do that then I believe it could be much better.

The game is a good concept, but plagued with egregious monitization that's extremely predatory. They have a battle pass of 50 tears. Paid Lootboxes. 9 currencies. Paid characters or grind hours instead. Paid store bundles. The list goes on. Everything is monitized. I'm surprised you can't pay for a larger health bar. The game is just to confusing due to the abundance of items. All which obviously can be purchased for real money aswell. The UI is a complete mess, and you can spend ages just going through stuff, and you stop caring about anything you unlock and just want to play the game. Game balancing also needs a fair amount of work. Certain cards (in game modifiers) make it far to easy to win. Like swords which deflect bullets and have no cooldown. The matchmaking algorithm is strict Sbmm. Make of that what you will, but when I want to play casual then I don't want to try my best all the time.
The art style is cool. Characters are fun to play. I like the idea of the shard cards. It could have been way better, but the monitization really does ruin this game for me. This game makes every casino look amazing.

Marvel Rivals7
Dec 11, 2024
It's a fun game that clearly aims more towards fun gameplay then a competitive experience. However, the game is a bit buggy. Like sometimes your character takes ages to spawn, so your running around with no character on screen.
Despite the Marvel Rivals clearly not playing like a competitive game, the matchmaking in casual mode feels overly strict. Skill based matchmaking (Sbmm) can make games feel overly sweaty, making casuals like myself get burnt out and tired after short play sessions. I have a few hundred hours in XDefiant and my KD isn't that great, at around 1.2. So it's not like I'm a pro. But since there is no Sbmm in casual, every match feels different from the last. This variety helps keep things fresh, rather then repetitive. My next issue is they need role cue. Even if its a separate playlist, so open cue players still have their fun. I don't mind this game not having perfect balancing. I would rather have a bunch of heroes, then fewer balanced heroes in a game like this. But we need role cue. Other then that, game is a lot better then I expected. I can imagine updates will hugely improve the experience. Monitization is a bit steep. At around £5 per 1 month battlepass with just under 30 items. Most being filler. This makes it around twice the price is most other games.
Game has been massively successful, and I think that's no surprise. With it's massive roster on day 1, humourous characters and dialogue and chaotic, fun gameplay. Marvel Rivals does manages to feel unique, despite it taking a ton of inspiration from games like Overwatch, Team Fortress 2 and Valorant.

I know everyone will say it's good, just cos it's from software. However it's ok. However, enemies just felt more like eye candy, instead of stuff that's fun to fight. Every boss needs all these flashing effects going on, then you take tons of damage at some random time. Your not learning the times from the animations, your learning them by counting how long from the moment the attack starts. Yes I completed the DLC before writing this. But this new direction FS are going in where they are constantly trying to 1 up themselves by making things more extreme, just isn't for me. Malenia **** in the base game. I didn't want to fight several more similar bosses. I love hard bosses. Why else would I play these games. But when you have no idea what's even going on cos of the exaggerated effects, just feels tedious to learn. I still prefer Dark Souls 1. Encounters were just overall more thought through, and boss attacks were easy to pick-up and understand. Not a bunch of disco light. Oh yh. If you enjoy your 60 fps in the base game. Your gonna love the constant stutters in the DLC. The moment you enter the DLC, despite the area having less stuff going on, your frame rate is all over the place. Still no performance fix patch as of 26th November 2024. I normally don't care about Unreal Engine. However I think they need to finally switch. Lies of P is a clear example that these games just work better on UE. From software games on PC, always feel terrible compared to consoles. Apperantly it doesn't pre compile shaders on PC?? The DLC does look nice. Area can be fun to explore. Some enemy types and weapons were fun. They just dropped the ball on the bosses. I hope we get more classic bosses in their future titles.

The game has fun combat, but that's about it. Everything else is just annoying. Like the time system, the constant ringing walkie-talkie that if you put down, it rings again immediately to say don't hang up. But if you're talking, then it locks you out of combat. If an essential survivor dies, it reset you to your last save. If you didn't save for a long time, then unlucky. At 1 point it wouldn't let me heal someone for some reason and they died. Had to go back 30 minutes. The NPCs also mostly speak in text boxes, which really doesn't suit this style of game. You can't even skip through the text, so you have to stand and wait until the 10 text boxes with 1 sentence each all finish. The only thing this game really has to offer is to walk around killing zombies and trying to score as many points in the process. The moment you actually try progressing the game, you'll realize that the quests are boring, the AI is so dumb it's annoying trying to get them to work correctly and there is very little to keep you invested in what's going on. Even at the time, this was a very shallow experience. Now its aged even worse.

Ara: History Untold7
Oct 26, 2024
I went into this game with very little experience in these styles of games. Closest being a small amount of Age of empires. The game does a lot of things I thought were good. But starting off with what I didn't like so this finishes on a positive.
I found the games tutorial was a poorly explained barrage of text dumps. Leading me to click things without knowing why. I have played a lot of video games, so I was figuring things out after so long on my own. But I can see this putting people off. Age of Empires campaign takes a narrative story approach for it's tutorial, slowly introducing things to the player. Ara would benefit from something like this.
My next issue was the UI. So many things just annoyed me with it. Like when you apply buffs to your resource generators, all the icons are the same plus icon (+), but each selection of items inside the menu is different. Why not have different icons for each one? Even if it's just different colours corresponding to different sets of items. Another weird thing is when your choose stuff, you sometimes have to close a menu to click the next menu, despite it being a side menu. Can it not just replace the menu itself? That just feels a bit obvious to me. Another issue is performance. There is no DLSS or FSR so you can't use these to help. It's a turn based game so it's not gonna impact your skill. It's just annoying in the later game when its running terribly. Please add FSR or something to take some strain off the GPU? It's open source so it doesn't cost any money to add this. Some resource supplies felt a bit unusual or confusing. Like when you trade, why do they not ask you for anything in return? It's not trading, it's just a free stream of gifts. Also I think manufacturing should require some resources. Rather then a lot of the time it just speeding it up. Even if it's just gold to simulate buying the resources you don't have. My last issue is auto repeat idle troops. So you don't have to keep waiting and fortifying. Let me automatically wait for multiple turns in a row please? I enjoyed the battling. I found that was pretty cool. It's awesome how each battle and war is even named. Also certain things like creating your own religion. The game also has so many neat ideas that if they were further fleshed out could really be amazing. I was in a war with another country. Then at one point they proposed we put our differences aside and work together, because another country was clearly getting to ambitious. However this doesn't check if you are at wa, so you remain in one despite accepting the offer?? This would be great if it ended the war and boosted your respect with them.
You will come across so many decisions that I think should be more impactful. Cos 90% of the time you're better off just accepting due to the lack of negative effects. Maybe change this so there are bigger stakes.
The animations in this game are really cool. It makes the world feel so much more alive.
The game is highly addictive. With so many things to constantly interact with, you constantly want to work towards stuff. Even if you haven't played many strategy games, I recommend giving Ara a go. If you stick through the tutorial and continue to work things out then you will be rewarded with game you can sink hours into. You won't even realize where the time went.

Baldur's Gate 39
Sep 26, 2024
Truly a great game that has really proven to the industry that we want true RPGs. Too many games these days use the RPG tag when it's some poor attempt at a skill tree that you can end up maxing most of the stuff on in a single play through. Baldurs Gate 3 really makes every decision matter. With very few times, you level up your character, forcing you to really think about what you will choose to improve when each time you get the opportunity. The story in this game is also highly interesting. Making me get extremely hooked onto where things are going. But along the way, the game challenges you to make choices that can lead to major impacts, giving the game a ton of replayability. Baldurs Gate 3 is an all in 1 package. No DLC or micro-transactions. The game has everything and you don't feel like anything was left out. As far as value for money goes, this game really does make you feel satisfied. My only problem with this game is that it assumes you have some experience with D&D. My brother plays the tabletop with his friends and if it wasn't for him giving me some help understanding the basics. This game would have posed a much bigger challenge understanding anything. So maybe watch 1 or 2 spoiler free guides before jumping in. I also found at times it was a bit confusing. Like during a battle I had no clue if what I was doing was making any difference at all. Without spoilers I was attacking an enemy, it was changing his colour but I didn't know if that was making him more dangerous or it killing him quicker. Another time I was destorying these portals, and they keep respawning but do they have unlimited spawns or was I supposed to take them out? Cos they eventually despawned on their own. Why give me the option to attack them if its a waste of time? Could you not have 1 of your characters say "That seems to slow them down" or something? This happens a few times throughout the game but I try to avoid looking at guides out of frustration and confusion. But overall its an amazing game. If you are struggling at the start, I promise its worth sticking with it and if you aren't satisfied by act 2 then its probably not for you. But even if its not your thing, its definitely worth appreciating the love and care that went into such an awesome experience. This is a game for the players!

Path of Exile9
Aug 13, 2024
1, if not the best ARPG around today. And it's free, with no P2W Micro-transactions. Path of Exile (POE) is such an awesome experience that is difficult to pull yourself away from, after getting hooked. Every last detail has been thought out. Even those smallest quality of life improvements, that normally get glossed over, have been solved in a way that make the user experience better. Then all of these little improvements together, just make the game feel so natural and smooth to play. So the best part of ARPGs is the character building freedom, and that is where POE really stands out from the croud. The developers at Grinding Gear Games have really made every single style feel like the possibilties are endless. This has came at the cost of the new player experience feeling overwhelming. So if you are new, I recommend copying someone else's build for your first character. This will allow you to become familier with the massive skill tree before tackling your own build.
Campaign wise the game is fairly sized. How ever I personally never took much interest in the story and lore. But the gameplay is so good that it didn't bother me that I didn't have a clue what was going on. I have heard from fans that the story is really good if you bother to learn it. But my ADHD doesn't allow me to listen to a voice over the top of a text dump for each part of the game narration. Its like Audible but your looking at a screen with nothing intersting going on.
The enemy and boss mechanics are the best you can experience in ARPGs. With enemy attacks being well telegraphed. At times can be quite fast paced. With all sorts of flashing effects that gives you that sweet, sweet dopamine. The looting is also fun. Something that Diablo hasn't been able to quite capture since D2. POE makes you feel like no time is ever wasted. The currencies in this game are items to which do various things. Like change item modifiers or gem slots. So even items you don't want can be exchanged to NPCs for some of these currencies. Making everything carry atleast some form of value to the player. Rather then having 1 universal currency, that you end up getting so much of that it ends worthless. There is a player trading system. Most people tend to want Chromatic Orbs for items. These orbs changing the colour of gem slots on items. Gem slots are what grant you your abilities which you use in combat. POE being free. Whats its monitization like? The only thing that you can buy that alters gameplay is stash tabs. These cost around $5 each. There is a variety of different kinds. Other then a currency tab (Allowing you to stack each currency, way higher), you don't really need any of the others, but they are nice to have. You could easily play through the game and get the full experience without dropping a dime. But I personally recommend spending around $20 on a few stash tabs so you don't spend as much time micromanaging your bank. My 1 gripe with this game. ADD LEG ARMOUR!! All the characters walk around almost half naked. You do get full armour later in the game. But for hours you will be walking around in near enough your underwear, from the waist down. You can get cosmetic overrides, thou. Changing how each slot appears, regardless of what you have equipped. These are on the prices side, I think each bundle is like $30 or something. They do have discount sales on for a selection of stuff. It's more there if you want to show extra support to the team and get a little something in return. It's not ever rammed in your face. Throughout your hole time with the game, you will never get ads pop up asking you to spend money. Only a small button saying "shop" which clearly states that it is a microtransaction shop. So you know, this is where you spend real money. POE is proof that you don't need malicious or deceptive techniques to be a successful FTP game. You just need to make the experience enjoyable and the money will come. That when developers do these annoying FOMO techniques, that it is out of greed and not because "They need to or the game will die". If you enjoy ARPGs with fun looting and unlimited character builds then POE is definitely a game for you. And its free so definitely give it a go! The new player experience does have a bit of a learning curve, but I highly recommend sitting through it because once you start getting hooked, you won't regret it.

Great game. The team are dedicated to giving players what they want. There is no skillbased or engagement based matchmaking (sbmm or eomm) past player level 25, in casual playlists. But there is team balancing. This basically means that you will be put into games with a variety of different skilled players. Rather than more or less all other modern games, where every player in your games, plays a similar way,
XDefiant also has 0 p2w, and a decent amount of content you can get for free. Battle pass also gives you enough coins to purchase the next one. The gun balancing is excellent since the latest update. With everything having its own place in the game.
The netcode is getting way better with updates. With me rarely getting killed round corners any more. This is currently my favourite arena shooter on the market. I am looking forward to more updates from the team. Highly recommend giving this game a go. It might be hard if you haven't played many arena shooters, since there is no sbmm. But keep trying and you will get better.

3 small changes could have made this game way more popular. No difficulty option. If you are going to make a soulslike then you commit. If Elden Ring was easy, it wouldn't have been half as popular. Taking the soulslike style and then adding an easy mode option alienates the fans of those games, whilst also deterring players who dislike those games.
Never use Sweetbabyinc. More people are aware of this company now. And any game what uses them is now getting hate mobbed. Rather than shoe horn in diversity. Why not just write a good story? No one is looking out for ethnic characters. The fact people force these characters into their games is racist in itself. You are putting people into different categories.
Your last mistake was launching on a weekday. The bigger than launch, then the more hype. Was it so hard to wait a couple days? I hope this game doesn't end your company. But if you do get another chance and you make these mistakes again, then that is on you.

I was thinking about buying this at launch but I am glad I didn't. It then appeared in gamepass so I gave it a go. The core gameplay is quite fun. The way you can shift between umbral and Axiom is really cool and never get old. Combat thou feels good enough but it has issues. Like critical strikes are so annoying to actually hit. You have to wait ages for your character to be doing nothing, stand at a specific position and read a chapter out your book. After all that preying to the gods, they might just grant you the will to perform a critical strike. In other souls games, it will line your character up and Lies of P actually tells you that you can perform a critical attack now. Bosses go on for a boringly long time. I would rather have a more difficult encounter then one that over stays it's welcome. It gets to a point where I would see a boss arena, turn the game off and come back to it later cos I know it's gonna be a damage sponge. They aren't even that hard when compared to other soulslike games. But that is my issue. Why not make them more difficult but cut the health bars down? The PC performance is up and down. I heard it was terrible at launch. I did get stutters at times. My frames would cut in half. It was still playable thou. If they make another one of these games, I these issues are fixed. The company has potential to make something better then this.

It's a good game at its core but there is so many bugs and I don't mean the ones in game. For starters the game constantly crashes for seemingly no reason. You will be doing really well and then out of no where your sent to desktop. Movement feels extremely poor compared to the first game. The game defaults to left stick to sprint but you try using that. I changed to L1 and even that can be annoying. So many times il be stuck on the floor and I won't get up with half bar of stamina and no status affect applied to my character. Also why can you no longer request an SOS beacon if you used one 2 to 3 hours ago? Before you could use one every game. I understand why they mite have removed that since this game was more popular. But now if you use one and they leave your game you are stuck on your own and are forced to join someone else. But then half the people you join will kick because they walked under your stratagem drop and died. Like that on them for not looking and why can't they see the funny side? This game is not supposed to be taken seriously! Just listen to the dialogue you constantly scream whilst tearing into enemies. I do think this game gets a few things right. The new way of unlocking stratagems is cool. I like the sample upgrade system. When you actually get a good team it can offer some amazing games. The live service doesn't feel to aggressive. The game definitely offers good value for money. And it definitely has the same charm as the previous title. But my issues lie within clunky character movement, consistent crashes, questionable choice in anti-cheat and no SOS beacons when you get left on your own.

You can have some great games, but they are few and far between. Some killers are just not fun to go against, like The Doctor. Or you have people hook you and just sit on the hook instead of going for other survivors. They obviously lose the game since everyone else can work on generators, but It's still not fun for those on the hook. This game also relies extremely heavily on micro-transactions. Unlocking new survivors can take weeks of gameplay for 1, or you can spend a few quid. I would be able to look past this, but basically all the characters are behind this system. The only new characters added to the game are ones from TV which is good, but obviously they need to make money back for the licensing. Because of this, there is not much to work towards in the game once you have prestige each character 3 times without spending more money on more characters. The game is also more or less pay to win, since purchased characters have much better perks than ones with the game. Some killers are basically impossible to lose with. Without any experience as killer, I can win basically every single game. The amount of times I am getting team wipes is unreal. Most of the time I am taking out 3 or 4 survivors. I get escaping is supposed to be hard but if a new player can hook 4 people with no experience then imagine going against veteran players as killer. My next issue is the broken hitbox system. You can get stabbed round corners since the contact is written incorrectly. It's like playing on servers with a low tick rate. So where you are is not where the server says you are. Or you can get stunned when you're a meter away from the pallet. It's frustrating cos I love the unique concept behind this game. When you get placed into a fun game where everyone is playing properly and people are enjoying themselves, it's a great game. It's all about having a bit of fun, however, people seem to forget this and people play in toxic ways instead. This is more common than the fun games. It's demotivating to throw this game on with the off chance you can enjoy yourself. And it has the top age rating in the UK with no way to turn of profanity filter! What the ****!?

For what seems so promising at the start, ends up being extremely repetitive and boring. With so little things to switch up the game play and the map design basically being the same no matter what part of the game you are in. The art style is great thou. Progressing the story feels like the only part keeping you somewhat invested. Whilst the combat at its core isn't bad, but after every single scenario plays out the same as the last, it's not long before you just want to get it over and done with. Especially when the game constantly has you doing busy work that have no relation to anything. Like cleaning up rubbish to lift a lockdown. It's sad because the game has all the elements to be a great game. Its destruction mechanics and some of the best to this day. But its poor execution was so bad that it ended up being forgettable. Every single element of this game gets squeezed dry, and you just get sick of it. It's a clear case of quantity over quality. I would have much, rather they cut the game in half, and then have a short and sweet fun experience. It's on game pass now if you want to try it. Otherwise, I can't recommend buying it.

Great remaster for those who want to experience the new graphics or the old ones. Just press start to toggle between the 2 at any time. It also works better on new computers. My original trilogy disc needs 3rd party fixes to work, but the new version obviously doesn't require this.I find older graphics don't display well on new displays, so this is a great way to play the older games in the modern day, and they have done a great job bringing them up to speed.

ARK: Survival Evolved1

This game is terrible in basically every way. Even as a survival game it makes literally no sense. So if you craft a campfire you need flint but then to light the camp fire you need to make spark powder from flint? So why did I use flint to make the camp fire? Or why do I need spark powder when I have a flaming torch in my hand? Just use that to light the fire.
Or what about crafting and inventory management? As far as I could tell, there is no quick insert button. Every item needs to be dragged back and forth but even when you insert it, it doesn't go to the tile you want and instead the closest to the top left? So why do I need to drag it over when it just goes to top left? Or how when crafting, it has the option to bring up the crafting menu when in a storage box. But you still have to take stuff out the box to craft the item to but it all back in? Why? So many things are over complicated and not well explained. Overall its just not fun at all for me. I found it just doesn't get anything right. It runs badly, the graphics aren't great, the mechanics felt poorly designed and even smaller companies have shown that you don't need allot of devs and money to make a nice feeling game. You can see that the amount of people unlocking achievements isn't many. Survive 1 day has 30% of players unlocked and most of them only 5% so its clearly not performed well. The sad part is that a game like this could be good. If it was done properly and didn't feel so complicated to do something that should be simple. Like add some quality of life improvements. I should be able to craft an item within the storage box interface without taking the items out the box. If you have multiple crates you gotta go to each one to get each item out. This is annoying.
Don't make things tedious for the sake of being tedious.

I've not played the previous 2 games I can't compare them. How ever going back and playing Fable 3 has allowed me to appreciate the work that went into creating such an amazing game. I love the fact you can build your own "empire" through buying property and renting out. Why don't more games do this? I'm British myself and they get the culture perfect in this game. The stuff the NPCs come out with is the type of rubbish people come out with here. There is never a play session where I don't end up laughing at something. That's what makes this game special. I hope Playground Games can bring this magic to the reboot. Another thing that's great is the NPCs all have their own lives. They all have their own purpose. You can interact with them and get them to either love or hate you. What you do matters to people. You have a reputation to uphold. They hint and this as the first thing you do in the game. And people will comment on how they look at you when your walking round. So if you have upset some people they will be mean towards you. It's crazy how more games haven't implemented such a thing into their own games. But that shows that the amount of work this probably takes is allot. By modern day standards the controls are annoying. But they aren't unbearable. And certain stuff is tied behind quests when it shouldn't be. Like a quest menu. You can get multiple quests before you unlock the menu to display them all? But overall this game has so much to offer and I am unsure why people are so negative towards it like it has nothing good about it. Even if it wasn't as good as previous titles (Which I can't comment on), it is still a great game and deserves praise for what it does right.

The gameplay is good and that's about it. The characters constantly shout the word **** every 2 to 5 minutes which gets annoying and cringe. Overall the story just didn't pull me in at all. I played solo myself. But I don't think the co op mode was badly made and I can see what they were going for. This definitely wasn't written as the same people a the previous games. It just made the war seem silly.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice9
Jan 19, 2024
This game is amazing. I love games that punish you for failure. Like Dark Souls making your health bar smaller. In Hellblade you must complete the game without dying to many times. It keeps the pressure on within combat encounters giving you more of a rush. Rather then just mindlessly slashing your way through without a worry, instead once your health starts to get low you really worry about how your gonna pull yourself back in the game.Hearing the voices is great aswell. It really does give you an idea of what its like for those who suffer with psychosis. I have met a couple people who have this and Senua portrays them so well with her facial expressions. The look in her eyes and how wide they are, looking after allot and when she kicks the boat away because she knows the voices mite convince her she is making a bad decision. I also like the use of symbols. It references that people who suffer with psychosis see symbols and they wonder what they are suppose to mean. Combat in this game is great. Bit like From Software's Sekiro but a bit easier. Puzzle's in this game are also good fun. I actually like it when puzzle's actually make me think. To many games throw in brain dead puzzles that are there only to slow you down and to switch up gameplay so its not repetative. While in Hellblade you will likely end up with a few puzzles that will get you thinking. But they are fun to solve. They aren't artificially difficult where they do something unfair just to make it harder. Each puzzle is built in a way where if you wonder round enough it will click and you realize what you need to do.Graphics are amazing! I did get a bit of screen tare thou? Took me about an hour to realize it to be honest as its not obvious when your not looking for it. Mainly happens if I snap the camera round quickly. My monitor has freesync. Vsync does fix this but then your capped at 60 fps. The game does play fine at this frame rate **** only thing that frustrated me with this game is character movement is sometimes to slow. When I am wandering a puzzle I don't wanna do a slow jog, let me run! I can understand why in combat you mite need to balance speed more but when I am wandering the envirment I feel like movement could be increased by about 20 to 30%.I can't believe I didn't try this game sooner. I had heard of it but didn't know much about it until watching a trailer for Hellblade 2 so I had to try the first one. This game is well worth your time. Its not to long in size. If you started the game in the morning you would likely have completed in half a day.

The game has its moments but I didn't enjoy it as much as F3 and F4. So at the very start you get shot in the face and buried. And then someone digs you up and performs brain surgery on you in a dusty house within a desert? So not only you survive a gun shot but also being buried alive and your are completely uneffected from brain surgery in a dusty environment. It is never explained why your worth saving. But then when you look past that you find your killer and get revenge not even halfway into the game. And then the rest of the game just doesn't feel like you have a real goal. The factions are good fun but the main story is the worst in the series. It just felt slapped together.
People say Starfield has poor traveling. I am guessing people forgot this game exists. You have to do so much running. Sometimes 4000ft+. I highly recommend using mods on PC for sprinting. it gets better when you unlock the locations for fast travel.
I loved the other fallout games and maybe I will give NV another shot. If my opinion changes I will update this review. As of now it just isn't for me.

THE FINALS4
Dec 19, 2023
The core game is fun but everything other then gameplay is terrible. I am getting sick of games having to be updated before they can be played properly. The game has terrible balancing the matchmaking is so bad you can't play with friends. Just to make that worse it's a co op game. There is an achievement for playing in a party but humans have different skill levels so the matchmaking is always dragging players behind. Sbmm should not be in unranked at all let alone seriously strict. The game is a grind for everything and new players have terrible stuff and struggle to compete. Unlocking stuff is good but all equipment needs to have a useful purpose. In the finals some stuff is just useless and other stuff is top tear. Heavys are OP and Smalls are basically 1 shot. The game needs to much work and needs to not try be so competitive but more a casual fun shooter. Edit: Dropping my review a couple marks since the devs are ignoring the community. Basically just said expect changes after countless people from the community saying the skill based matchmaking is ruining their experience. It wouldn't be so bad if casual didn't feel identical to ranked. If your playing casual you don't want to have your A game on. Or if you put the game down for a week and come back and a bit rusty, you end up being dragged along and hold your team back. People are getting tired of all FPS games feeling like this which is why recently all these cranked up FPS shooters have been loosing hundreds of thounsands of players. Even Call of duty has lost most of its players. Both MW2 and MW3 put together are doing worse then Black Ops 4 was around this time after its launch. The Finals had the opportunity to be better but instead its just gonna be another FPS live service that gets left and forgotton about. Which is why its like 80% of its players since launch. Games do have a drop-off but when its that much its a bad game. Its likely why the devs even said anything at all or they would have just ignored everyone. These devs are no different to ones at Call of duty. They don't care at all.

Resident Evil 54
Dec 12, 2023
1 of the worst resident evils to date. Rather then making it a solo game and then adding co-op after it's the other way round. You don't have enough inventory space so you spend half your time managing stuff. Even if you remove the annoyance of co op changes the game is still terrible. With constant QTEs and bullet sponge enemies. They obviously added more enemies for 2 players but playing solo your AI companion is useless.
The QTEs are so short it's like they want you to fail them and then remember the pattern and do it again just to pad the game out more. This hole game has terrible art direction and everything feels the same and forgettable with only a couple chapters that looked different. The environment feels so static and boring. Only once did they actually have something going on in the background which was the exact same part they used in the demo back when this game launched. The hole game just felt like a drag where I was so frustrated managing 2 inventory, dying to annoying QTEs where sometimes it's less then a single second to react (I play guitar hero on expert) so unless you're holding your finger on the button before hand then you ain't hitting them. And half the game having no ammo and then the second half having more then enough. And the controls and character movement are just awful. When you aim and movement the camera at the same time it will aim miles off aswell. There was a couple bosses that were fun but the main boss was the worst one out them all. Your just running around the hole time. If they remake this game I seriously hope they change the hole thing and just use the same story. New voice acting, art style, inventory management and obviously make it single player. Re5 feels like an early PS2 game but it launched on the Xbox 360/PS3. There is some elements of fun but they get ruined by the filler plastered all over the place.

Should have been delayed. The game is full of annoying bugs and so much if it feels unfinished. Ubisoft need to stop rushing all their games and let their devs perfect stuff instead of **** the bare minimum. Like the cutscenes are sometimes out of sync with the audio, long loading times even on my m.2 SSD (My PC has got recommended req), in character creator I couldn't change most of the stuff (when I clicked it wouldn't select the option), how every combat encounter is done solo because they never added friendly Ai, Combat is a bit broken, the overall quests feel a bit bland. I would expect more from a single player game. The art style is on point and the graphics are good. I love exploring pandora in this game. The world feels alive. It's just sad how such a great foundation was wasted from clearly rushing this game out the door. This game could have used another year as a game like Avatar deserves to be something amazing. Not some half-baked, cash grab. Ubisoft please give your games longer. You have so much talent and great IPs but they are wasted with the attitude of releasing so many games that could've been better. Better games is more sales. Bad games means less sells. The extra time is worth it. So many people avoid Ubisoft games cos they expect poor quality from them. I am 1 of those people but maybe I was hoping they would do better cos it's Avatar but this game is arguably worse. Atleast their other games are more playable and don't take 20 minutes to load to the main menu. And another 15 to start a save.
Save your money and wait for a future sale when the bugs are hopefully fixed.

It's quite a good game and improves upon Fallout 3s flaws in some ways. The map has a much better design instead of being split into segments and having to go through the same long tunnels in Fallout 3 to create the illusion of a bigger map. They have made it completely open but have smaller footprint on the pip boy. The perk and level system is mostly the same. I personally didn't like the introduction to this game. Without saying what happened, its ridiculous what happens and how it is prevented by complete strangers. Fallout 3s intro is way better. I love starting in the vault. In NV you can go the hole game without seeing a proper vault all. This game didn't even feel much like it was set in a fallout world. Its a fun game but I wish it was more Fallout. The story other then the beginning isn't to bad but personally I like Fallout 3 more. After the intro you immediately set upon a big task. In NV your more of a Merc trying to get by or atleast that's how I felt playing it.

Forza Motorsport7
Nov 16, 2023
Should have been delayed for a few months longer. The game clearly isn't ready and now its been released they now need to focus on new content aswell as fixing its countless issues. Microsoft are trying to push Xbox on PC but the game was barely playable at launch and still needs allot of optimization. The tuning system is really killing this game. Its great that T10 wanted to try something new but it doesn't work the way they intended. Every car progresses the same and you unlock the same parts at the same time. Its not to bad in builders cup but cars outside of this really have no way to progress other then custom race and rivals. But there is only so many times you can spend 2-3 hours doing this for every car before it gets extremely tedious. Not to mention car points are the worst thing I have seen in a racing game. If I have a part I should be able to purchase and use it. Why have I got to remove something else to equip that part? Like when you unlock tyres you need to remove every single thing to equip them? The game just doesn't have enough variety in content to make this system bearable.
Speaking of lack of content this game hasn't got several massively popular features that made Forza stand out. No drag races, drift rivals, public multiplayer (You do get featured multiplayer) and other stuff isn't here. I know its coming soon but with the amount of bugs in this game we could be waiting 6 - 12 months for this. This has definitely killed a huge chunk of players and allot won't be coming back. Surely they learned from Halo Infinite having no content at launch and several bugs. The featured multiplayer is good but the new penalty system just doesn't work very well. At the start of the game is your typical destruction derby and this is still an issue in the top safety ratings. But cars don't get penalties for this? Its like at the start of a race you get a free smash pass. This basically makes safety ratings useless because its at the start where the system needs to be at its best because later on in the race people are more spaced out. Builders cup is also quite fun. I don't mind progressing cars in this game mode and its about the only way the car level system isn't that annoying. The AI in this game is actually pretty good compared to most other racing games. Bearing in mind the first few cars do get a bit ahead of them selves. Hopefully they can make it a bit more realistic and make the AI more together instead of having multiple races inside 1. The new improvements to the car mechanics are definitely a noticeable improvement over FM7. They feel so much more comfortable and cornering feels buttery smooth. Summary. I really wanted Forza to be that racing game that really stands out against the crowed. But I feel really disappointed by the games extremely limited variety of content that Forza has been known for. The car leveling clearly doesn't work when there isn't many different ways to level cars up limiting you to progress every car the same way. With each car taking a few hours this makes the game tedious and frustrating. Car points restricting the cars progression as unlocking parts and having to remove half your parts to fit 1 doesn't make a lot of sense. With the several issues that need to be addressed in this game its worrying that we won't get any full fledged updates until these are fixed leaving Forza fans with not much to enjoy. This game is not finished and should have been delayed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War7
Nov 12, 2023
Starting with single player campaign. I am mixed about it. Treyarch always has a good story. But it suffers with the typical kill 1000 enemies every time you walk into a area. I get why this was a thing 10 to 15 years ago but technology has moved on but cod campaign is stuck in the past. The SP could be a huge selling point for cod and not just an afterthought. Treyarch does switch things up more in their campaigns then IW and Sledgehammer but they never adapt on these changes in future games. Like the new dialogue system and character profile will probably be gone in the next black ops even thou it was a nice feature. 1 thing that cod should start doing is less ammo, hugely improve the AI, and increase damage for both player and AI. Make each enemy encounter have multiple different approaches and ways to take down the enemy. Improve the stealth aswell and give me the option to stash bodies. Every encounter is identical blurring them together. Their is nothing to with having a missions where your like a god killing 100s of enemies but every mission? It just feels draining. I would rather 20 enemies that all adjust to what I am doing, if I reload or get shot and have low health they should make a push or throw a grenade, they should take flank routes if I get comfy in a single spot and that sort of stuff. Not 100 enemies that run at me and a straight line. Campaign AI is the same as zombies but they have guns. Cod needs to move it's single player into today and move on from the PS2 style gameplay. Next the zombies. This new style isn't for me. When they changed Black ops 4 I thought the same thing. Now I didn't realise how good that games zombies was was compared to cold war. They have basically made zombies into its own objective based game type instead of the fun round based survival mode. Everything is marked out so now it just feels like busy work. The maps are massive. I wish they bought back a couple old maps like Der Riese for those who don't want this new style.
They got this open world zombies which is cool but it's still early days. Maybe in future they will expand upon it. Multiplayer. Same as every cod, nothing more to say.

I really wanted to enjoy this game more. The combat just felt off to me. Certain boss AOEs were far to big for their fury attacks (Attacks that cannot be avoided unless you run away). This forces you into longer weapons making Dex builds less viable. You can craft weapons but this just isn't anywhere as useful as legendary weapons. Fury attacks ruin the flow of the game. The combat in this game is clearly aggressive focused but then you add an attack where iframes don't apply? So you then have to run away completely ruining the overall rythem. Seriously allow iframes in fury attacks and just make them unblockable! This makes way more sense. Bosses feel a bit long winded and not very memorable. At first I thought I was under leveled but I wasn't, they just have ridiculous health bars.
Other then that game is pretty good and the art style is great. Just make the combat better.

Its a good game and main storyline was going so well until you reach point where it just dives off a cliff. It looks like Bethesda put a ton of money into building an area just for it be the worst part of the games story. I thought of multiple ways they could have made it better yet Bethesda's writer's just didn't know what to do so they just thought up some random crap and thrown it in.
I actually liked having a talking character and I hope they do this again. It's easier to relate to them and to make decisions. Maybe do this in fallout going forward but keep Elder scrolls as a silent protagonist as I don't think it would suit that world. Factions are alright in this game but nothing to crazy.
It's worth playing and you can get it fairly cheap but it's not Bethesda's best work.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty9
Oct 16, 2023
I personally think this DLC is amazing but a couple wasted opportunities. I don't know why people are all saying "Its to scary, why they make it horror..?" I think its awesome they took the DLC is a new direction. I love it when devs try something new rather then give you more or the same. You get allot better products when you allow devs the freedom to do what want instead of force them into a tunnel. This is what kills games because you end up with dead games with no care in the world put into them. Phantom Liberty really ramps up the gameplay in Cyberpunk. The main game while amazing (Ofcourse since the fixes), you can tell they cut off a few corners because they wanted to hurry up and get it out. In the dlc now they have gotton a good formula they have really started polishing those parts what worked well. Instead of the bosses just being bullet sponge regular enemies, they are now unique and fun encounters. The area the DLC is set in is really cool and creative. You can really see CDPR put allot of time into the world building behind this area and you so much more emersion. With all sorts of interesting scripted sequences going on around you that most people likely wont appreciate which is why allot of devs don't bother doing them. Yes the game does take on a bit more of a horror aspect but this isn't a bad thing. Cyberpunk has always dabbled in a light horror theme, your trying to tell me no characters in this game aren't suppose to give off an unsettling vibe? Look at the Maelstrom gang, half their faces are cut out and replaced with red eyed tech. You approach that in real life you wouldn't feel atleast a bit scared? Dealing with these factions and characters are the best parts of the game. I am glad CDPR took these parts as inspiration for the DLC. But it worked aswell. Because sometimes these parts are appreciated because their is less but in the DLC they have added more but it still came together really well. The story in the DLC definitely keeps up with the main game. if not better because it was built off a complete project. Instead of chopping bits up here and there to get the game finished. Granted they have stiched parts up a bit better with patches and fixed some dialogue which didn't make sense. The DLC they could really focus on making it perfect and they have. The new skilled are truly amazing, both the reworked ones and the new skill tree. Skills just felt a bit bland before but now they really do allow you to really build your character in the way you want. This is what an RPG is all about. Playing in the role you want. Okay but its not perfect or I would give a ten. My 1 issue with this DLC is missions felt a bit linear like in the main game. Granted you can still approach enemy encounters mostly how you want between stealth, melee and guns blazing. They have really adapted melee aswell making it more viable. But I mean sometimes you think this would have been the perfect place where you could have had a player choice that affected the outcome. In a DLC which contains way less missions, it would have been easier to do stuff like that. Especially when there was no real rush to release it. Maybe CDPR wanted to put more resources into the sequel but I am not sure. Just felt a couple missed opportunities. I even replayed the dialogue just to check different options but they all just combined into the same outcome. I can't lie aswell the ending for me didn't live up to my expectations. While still great it just didn't quite feel like the ending I would have wanted. The end of the main felt amazing and I really enjoyed being along the journey of V but in the DLC it felt like something was missing. But this is probably subjective. If you love the Cyberpunk universe then I highly recommend grabbing this DLC. Don't let other peoples opinions factor into your own.

Cyberpunk 20778
Sep 29, 2023
At launch I would have given this game around a 4/10due to there being several glitches and bugs. Still to this day people see Cyberpunk launch as a comparison point how badly a games state is. I had really lost my faith in CDPR and started seeing them as another company who lost their passion for good games and cared about money more then releasing good products. How ever coming back to this game after the 2.0 update has proven their commitment to the game. Before I didn't care about V because I knew nothing about him/her. They have added a prologue before the game and you can choose which 1 suits you. Corpo, streetkid and Nomad. Its a decent chunk of gameplay and makes your character feel way more developed, allowing me to appreciate the rest of the game more. There is a ton of new dialogue fleshing out characters and missions, the combat has been reworked feeling overall more balanced and enjoyable. The new skill trees are much better. My FPS is completely stable and never spikes plus I haven't changed any components in my PC since last playing the game. Night City now has loads more going on and stuff to do. They also finally added police similar to GTA but in my opinion they are better and more threatening if you get the higher wanted levels which I highly recommend trying out. Apparently they are working on 3rd person but CDPR is yet to confirm. I really hope they do this and make it feel just as enjoyable and not an afterthought.
The game feels completely finished and I feel like if it released in this state then more people would have looked past on what they didn't deliver. I am still disappointed that dialogue choices still don't mean much. You can approach certain missions in different ways but this doesn't change anything outside of that mission. I really do hope CDPR have got another night city entry in the pipeline now they have something to work off. I feel like they could really knock it out the park and deliver on their original image of night city. If you haven't played cyberpunk in a while or at all then highly recommend giving it a shot. Its easily earned a seat at the table with the other quality games and I commend CDPR committing to this game and getting it to a point where it can proudly sit on their portfolio. Its restored my faith in this company and I believe in future they will release games in completed state. I hope that thought ages well.

Outriders Worldslayer9
Sep 27, 2023
Outriders is extremely underated. The story is good, even the sidequests have depth. The combat is great fun. Higher difficulties are more rewarding. I common issue people say is they don't get enough loot. That's either a skill issues or they aren't doing any side quests which give you a decent reward at the end of each one. You can always sell your junk items aswell and then buy better ones at vendors. Even if you think you don't need items its always worth checking vendors as they commonly switch their items and have sales on. Not to mention you can upgrade items you enjoy using. There is plenty of ways to get good items in this game so I don't see how people complain about this. To upgrade weapons you need to either mine resources or dismantle items you don't need and with the materials you put them into upgrades. The AI in this game is fairly decent with a wide range of enemies. Be sure to select good abilities as you will need these allot. You will struggle if you only use your gun. Its good to have different types instead of all being close range. Like 1 to charge health, 1 for crowed control and another to get yourself out a sticky situation like to many enemies pushing close to you.
The game runs really well for me and overall looks impressive which is to be expected for an Unreal Engine game. The movement is sort of like gears of war but would be nice if a control preset mapped dive and cover to the same button like Gears for those who are use to that. Some people mite prefer Outriders controls but I have played Gears since the 1st game they made so its difficult for me to suddenly switch to something else. I still constantly dive into walls after countless hours spent in game. 1 thing I really hate when most users review on these sites is they have 2 options, 10 or 0. They never point out good things about a game. They don't like a couple things and they say the hole game is terrible. Why not be constructive or even if you didn't like a couple things that doesn't make the overall game terrible. This game has great shooting mechanics, the characters are well portrayed, the sidequests even have cutscenes, most the NPCs speak when you walk near them, the art team did an awesome job and the overall world looks amazing with several different art styles, allot of the character modals look great, the bodies dismember when they get blown up or blasted with a big gun and so on. To say the game this game has nothing good about it simply isn't true even if you didn't like the story which personally I enjoyed. The amount of content you get in the world slayer edition is great and if you enjoy Gears of war then there is a good chance you will enjoy Outriders.

Payday 36
Sep 25, 2023
At the moment the gameplay loop is, load game, select heist and get a matchmaking error. They knew these servers were busted but released the game anyway. And the always online requirement is a joke. So people who payed for the game will loose access to it in the future. Why in solo modes do I need to be connect to a server? And your servers don't even work.
My 2nd issue is the optimization is really bad. The FPS is all over the place and you do get the odd stutter. I tried switching round various settings but still could not get a stable framerate. I think I speak for everyone when I say that unfinished games being pushed out all the time is getting really frustrating. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth so you leave it until it gets updates and by then you have moved onto something else. Looking past the issues thou at its core Payday 3 is amazing. I love gameplay. Its really enjoyable. Its like they thought about everything. I am sure some of the team who worked on this game have experience in heists because there is so many little things like negotiating with cops using hostages. Trying to be undetected for aslong as possible so its stealth at the start. Even if you leave a bag of money to collect the police will try recover it before you. There is so many little things that when they all come together prove that this game has potential. Its whether the team are willing to bend the knee and and put the issues right. The missions are so detailed but without mods they may end up becoming extremely repetitive and boring. Of course they will be adding more but they take a long time to make and likely it will only be a few a year.
I know it will likely never happen but if this game had mod support then I could see it lasting a very long time. Or atleast create a map/mission maker similar to Gears 5 Escape hive maker. Allow the community to work on content. Left 4 Dead 2 has had 80 peak players and 30k average in the last 30 days. It came out in 2009! That is what the community can do for a game. Payday 3 is great but after this launch and unless the devs have an ace up their sleeve I can't see it lasting long for most people. Not with games that are coming over the next few months. This game really would have been better if they allowed users to create their own servers and host mods. The always needing to be connected to the Payday 3 servers just isn't necessary at all and its clear that they really didn't think that through. Also looking at the game I think Micro-transactions mite be coming but if they do I think that will be the equivalent of loosing their last hostage and loosing all leverage with the community.

Starfield9
Sep 19, 2023
You will love Starfield if you like Bethesdas previous games. No its not a space simulator and was never meant to be one. The story is quite fun but that is only a small fraction of the content in this game. It has got a few questionable decisions like the lack of blood when shooting someone, how armour now duplicates when taking it off a corpse (Previous games the armour would be removed from the body) and how certain things that should just be unlocked are now locked behind a skill point (like combat sliding). Also why you don't have a rover or bike inside your ship baffles me. This makes exploring feel a bit tedious.
Still thou I really enjoyed starfield. The user reviews are broken on Metacritic cos PS Fanboys are making several accounts just to review bomb it. Cos that's what people call fun these days is ruining other peoples.
Starfield has days worth of content to enjoy with all the factions and sidequests you can go on. Even New game+ is now a thing. But this is a bethesda game so it plays like other bethesda games.

A Plague Tale: Requiem10
Aug 29, 2023
This game is actually amazing and well worthy sequel to the original "Innocence". Its very rare that a second addition lives up to the 1st but in this case it definitely does. The writers really outdone themselves with more of a unique story instead of allot of other games where everything can always be predicted with the "stick to what works approach". Its always refreshing to see something different and that's what you get with A plague tail. The map design is great and the core mechanics have seen nice improvements over the 1st game. The hole team really came together with the title and that shows in the result. Can't wait to see whats next in store!

Atomic Heart6
Aug 23, 2023
I really wanted to like Atomic Heart. I am a **** when it comes to sci fi dystopian worlds. But the one thing that really held this game back was everything just felt such a drag. Its like everything just took an unnecessary long time. Normally you come across a puzzle and its complete and move on. Atomic Heart is more complete, complete again with extra steps another 2 or 3 times. But after each time we will throw in a ton of enemies just to make it take even longer. If you wanna add new iterations of puzzles that's fine but do this throughout the game not directly after each other. If you wanna add combat encounters then make them meaningful and not just busy work. For the story, I kinda lost track tbh cos I kept putting the game down. The combat is fun at 1st but because there is far to many of the same encounters I kept getting sick of it. These devs need to learn about finding the right balance instead of jam packing as much in as they can. Just because something is awesome, what makes it even better is when there is less of it so you can appreciate it more. They got the talent no doubt, but now they need to learn how to execute it correctly.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice7
Aug 14, 2023
Must have been a dry year for games for this to get game of the year. It's just got so many hateable aspects for what could have been a much better game. Bossing in this game just isn't that fun. They go on for a boringly long time and it's the same from start to finish. Remnants weren't their at launch at so people just turn them off. This leaves you with empty remnants of people just running round in a circle as if they were trying to work out what it does. You mite get the odd useful one but you'll skip over these because you have to select loads of useless ones to find the useful ones. By then you can just work out where it would take you anyway. Crosses what restore the prosthetic arm are a bootable and not restoring with the bonfire is stupid. Healing items in this game are basically non existent and it relies more on not getting hit at all. Which is fine but getting hit once by a boss is either 1 or 2 hit death. Basically making this game a 0 room for error type deal. Again this would be fine if every boss instance was just a boss but 10 enemies aswell. Some ranged, melee, boss charging at you. But your ranged attack is basically like throwing marshmallows. I've completed a few of From Softs souls games and sekiro is not really souls bourne but it's still difficult. But I find the difficulty in Sekiro more of an unfair kind. Stealth keeps breaking. You get a backstab indicator but il go to press it when it's on and il just them with my sword alerting everyone. Enemies follow you when they didn't see you go there rather then following the route you took. Say I run round a building threw some bushes and grapple onto a tree. They will skip over everything and lock onto where I am. Like how they know that? It's really immersion breaking. Or you kill an enemy 5 miles away in a noisy area and everyone will turn around and look at you? They will walk over their best mates dead corps like meh there goes another one. Why they not go into a search mode? For a game that revolves around stealth there isn't very much stealth options and the stealth is terrible. The skill tree **** and has nothing interesting out of the 10 things on it. The map design feels extremely fake and un-interesting. It's like an extremely long and narrow cliff everywhere you go in this game. Its like 10 steps to the left is 1 side and to the right is the other side. For a from software game there is literally 0 exploration. Sometimes you'll get the odd jump down onto platform area and that's about it. Think in Demon Souls or Dark souls 1 all the shortcuts leading back to the bonfire and it's awesome to see how the map felt like a giant spider web. Nope Sekiro is just 1 narrow path everywhere. Sekiro is great for is the story. But that's to be expected with these devs. And the core combat is pretty good outside of stealth and most bosses. I also love the way how everyone in the world is there for a reason. This is something From have always done that's awesome. No one just ignores you. I just felt the game could have used a little more polish in certain areas but I would imagine Activision being the publishers they had strict deadlines and had to have a meeting about what colour an NPCs clothes were. From Software have never gone back to them since so I'm guessing Bandai Namco is better to work with.

Diablo IV2

The level scaling made the game extremely easy and boring. I never felt like I was getting more powerful and every encounter felt the same. The hole game felt like a boring grind fest and every interesting part took 10 to 20 hours to get to. The main focus was clearly quantity isntead of quality. The hole game has been focused around wasting your time instead of making the content fun. Don't waste your time with this. Just another cash grab from act blizz.

Elden Ring5
May 6, 2023
The game is extremely rushed and full of issues which lets the good sides down. For example the Ps5 version still hasn't even got vibration support! The game has been out a year now and they still haven't bothered. Instead they will patch a rune glitch which is slower then killing a bird then resetting at a site of grace. PvP in this game is terrible compared to every single other souls game. The ashes of war are extremely unbalanced. It's so easy just to win by doing something completely broken. Summoning has completely killed the game for me. Instead of them being a slight boost to distract the boss for a couple seconds so you can quickly sort yourself out. Instead they grab the bosses agro for ages so you can get half their health down if not more and have little to no risk while doing so?! Because the bosses are built around this mechanicthey are a mess if you don't use them. The open world map was amazing and some of the best work from software has done but the enemies are just copy and pasted several times you get sick of seeing the same ones. Even most of the bosses are just regular enemies with a health bar at the bottom of the screen! Including the same health. You get rats and countless other enemies in some places which have 100 HP and a rat in another place with 1000 with the exact same texture! Why didn't they change the texture to match the environment and then change its health so it feels more consistent. This is across the hole game. Within the 1st couple zones you would have already thought more or less everything with a few exceptions. It's just gonna be different health bars from then on. The story isn't bad. The lore is easier to follow in Elden Ring. I thought the fingers looked cringe thou. Faith has seen a huge upgrade making faith builds actually more viable.
There is a ton of spells to choose from aswell. Ashes of war seem like a good idea but in practice I think it would have been better if they had a few weapons with a set ash of war that you can't change. That way the weapon would be balanced around it. If you can throw it on anything you get broken weapons that are far to op. All in all Elden Ring would have been good if it wasn't rushed out the door. And they didn't have summoning.

The story is good but the controls make it almost unplayable. The camera angles constant mess up and then you'll need to change it every time you change area. And for some unknown reason you need to hold R2 to walk in a game that requires constant walking. But it gets worse. If you release the stick it continues moving so it's not like you can just hold the button at all times. I can't believe someone thought this was a good idea. People thought it was a dumb idea before so why didn't they change it on PS4?

Resident Evil 40

Contains pay to win rubbish. Clearly the company no longer cares about Resident Evil if they are willing to do this. It's disrespectful to your consumers. No single player game should have this. No even multiplayer but definitely not single player. Thanks for ruining the game. If your gonna do this then pass the game onto someone who won't do this. Never do this again!

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin4
Apr 13, 2023
Dark Souls 2 is easily the worst release that From Software has made. Everything in this game feels so forced. Other titles have been more about a fun game that happens to be hard as Ds2 is more hard for the sake of being hard. Like every action you do there is always an ambush. Every boss mechanic feels so over the top and ridiculous. The hole game can be cheesed with Life stones and Agility. The combat feels clunky and horrible compared to every other From Software game. For example if you swing your sword you are stuck in place for half a second before you can roll. Why? You can tell this wasn't the made team that created this game because it plays more like a cheap imitation. Also the game is actually harder if you use lock on. Honestly if you go against your brain telling you to always use lock on you'll find the game way easier. Which is funny cos that's the opposite of every other from soft game. I can imagine Ds2 being really bad for less experienced souls players as right at the start your fighting ambushes of 10 + enemies. And this is when you likely have a bottom tear weapon. Scholar of the 1st sin should have been a proper reword not just a couple minor improvements and random enemy placements. Apperantly the enemy placements are worse but I've not played the original.

Dark Souls Remastered7
Apr 12, 2023
Dark souls remastered is an okay release how ever it has gotten several issues. The remaster still left countless bugs and glitches like soul duplications, easy cheese strats and skips. They could have taken the time to fix some of these Moving on to the game itself I personally didn't like some of Dark souls features. Like the huge lack of warp locations. I can't think of any reason why they had so few of these. You end up having to sometimes walk several minutes just go to a level you need to revisit after beating it already? Sometimes there is hole areas without a single warp location yet other areas there is 2. It's tedious and annoying. Especially when your previous game had a decent amount of them. A few of the levels on dark souls I'm really not a fan of and not for the difficulty. I hate when games have invisbke floors. It looks like a bug that hasn't been patched. And you get MSG's in the game anyway so you can tell where they are if someone has wrote on them. It's just a cheap way to add difficulty. And another level where it's so dark even with the brightness on the game and TV ramped up to max you still can't see anything. So you can be walking as slow as possible hit a ledge then fall. It's extremely frustrating. It's like a hooror movie with crappy cheap jump scares instead of designing something that is scary without making you jump. That takes really good design and creative thinking. From software is capable in this as when you goto Demon Souls the prison was a great map. Or even the dlc in dark souls where those ghost things are. Dark souls is no doubt a good game. With a decent variety in spells. Loads of weapons and great bosses. But certain levels were just poorly designed and lack of warping location's means allot of tedious messing around.

The Last of Us Part I0
Apr 3, 2023
The price isn't worth how little improvements were made over the original game. It took them half as much time to make this as it does for most companies to make a new game from the ground up. So I can't see why we should pay full price for a new coat of paint and some big fixes.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn8
Mar 12, 2023
A realm reborn is a great title with tons to do and explore. A great game to enjoy with friends and there is always something to do together. FF online isn't just a game it's a community full of great players who are all fun to engage with. It's great that the devs destroyed the previous attempt at FF online and then tied it into the lore behind a realm reborn. It works really well and it's now become a mark of history. It shows that we can all make mistakes but its how we bounce back that matters. I do think it's strange how they didn't just call it Final Fantasy Online. Why the Xiv? I think level balancing for zones are annoying. Why doesn't it have a count down before restoring your level. I sometimes walk out of the zone and it stops me attacking till I select the option to sync again. The trial and game should be tied together. You pay for the game and a subscription? It's wrong to charge for a product you cannot use unless you pay monthly. Even if you have played the trial to level 60 you would still need to buy the game and subscribe to continue. Just make the game the trial. And offer the subscription when you complete the trial. I got the complete addition for half price which gave me all expansions and 30 days subscription which is a good deal. But if I had to buy a game and subscription and the expansions I probably wouldn't have continued past the trial. It just feels like so many different things to buy for 1 product. Speaking of trial I think this is a great move. Offering players an option to try the game shows they know this is a great product. Any company who is willing to give you something 1st before taking your money shows faith in a good product that they know you will wanna purchase when you try it. It's rare to see companies happy to do this because so many games get boring after the 1st couple hours. FF Online actually gets better the longer you hang around. You are constantly learning something new.

Outriders8
Mar 8, 2023
I really like Outriders and I think it's great to see a game like this launch. It's very rare these days but companies try something new. Normally games tend to play it safe and give us the same thing we have seen before just with a new coat of paint. Outriders has a great story that keeps you interested. The amount of different weapons and gear you can find on your travels. You get the choice of different classes and each class has different builds. The game even promotes trying out unique builds. You can create multiple characters and replay the game in different ways. I believe the devs will also continue to expand on this universe and I really hope they do as there is unlimited possibilities in the world. 1 thing I would criticize is that I wish there would be some puzzles or something to give you a break from shooting. I just feel like I'm running and shooting all the time. Don't get me wrong the combat is great but even the nicest foods can get dull. Keep up the awesome work.
