One of the best games on the 3ds, and one of the best remakes ever made. This game manages to be impressively faithful to Gaiden while also adding in it's own new things such as combat arts and 70ish% of the story and characters. Not all of it works, like Conrad, but most of it fits in perfectly. And it's not like I hate Conrad or anything, it's just really easy to tell he was added in, like in an Atlus Girl kind of way if you know what I mean.

Fire Emblem Three Houses will forever hold a very special place in my heart. Fire Emblem is one of, if not my favorite series of all time, and Three Houses is my favorite of all of them, There's nothing to say about it that hasn't already been said.

While the idea of uncovering the truth from beyond the grave is intriguing, the plot quickly becomes convoluted with a tangled web of characters and motives that failed to hold my interest. The narrative lacks cohesion and fails to create a sense of emotional investment in the outcome. The end game twists in particular are quite unsatisfying, and make me wonder what the point of most of the game was. The game is both too long and too short. It's not long enough to get you truly invested in the characters or story, but the way it's written also feels very dragged out. You don't really learn much of anything about what is going on until the last few hours, and I feel the middle section could have been trimmed considerably. The gameplay was fine but it won't stick with me. It's very on rails.
