Before the recent patch (November 19, 2025) the game felt alright in manager mode with authentic setting but now they ruined passing making it feel like I'm kicking a 30lbs medicine ball. And some players don't respond to input at times. And worst of all the game forgets my graphics settings. Pity that this was the first FIFA/FC game in years that I was enjoying in manager mode over PES Master League, but EA ruined that.
Remasters are almost always good because of updated graphics and sometimes new features. But with Sacred 2 remaster, it took 1 step forward and then 3 steps backwards. What a disappointing abomination. It also looks like they've completely removed Sacred 2 Gold from all digital markets.
Zombies 6/10
Rest of game 0/10 Professional critics must've gotten a huge pay check to rate it an 82. EDIT- oh okay... they changed it to 71 now. Didn't know professional critics change their minds after game releases. I won't be surprised if this game is the cause of the franchise downward spiral.
Terribly scripted, online only and no Master League mode. On the pitch gameplay seems much better than older Pro Evolution/eFootball games and has a decent presentation but that's about it. At least it has vs CPU "seasons" mode.
Some improvements over CFB25 but comes with annoying bugs and glitches that I already encountered in the first hour of playing it. Gameplay is definitely smoother than 25 and less laggy in the menus and AI defense doesn't make crazy no-look interceptions or such like before.
I have played MLBTS on Playstaiton and this is my first MLB version I purchased on the Xbox and I'm liking it, not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I do notice however that the graphics has barely been upgraded in nearly 10 years even from the Playstation 4 versions but I can't complain about the gameplay as it's top notch. It bugs me however that the the fly ball tracker is huge this year.
Probably the best version since 2K16, sure it has issues such as crashes which are fixable but game play is quite good and next gen looks... next gen! * I don't play online, so strictly offline for me, so no opinion with online features for the time being.
I wasn't expecting much good out of it considering it being published by EA of which has a track record, but so far so good and Codemasters are sticking to their roots for now. Gameplay and graphics are good, although graphics causes some issues for many users (mostly 13th gen Intel and Nvidia 4090 GPU users). Content wise, I wish it had the daily/weekly/monthly mode like Dirt Rally did, the career mode is terrible and buggy, KT's WRC had a better career mode, hell even Dirt Rally 1 had a good career mode so I never bother with career. I often stick to clubs and time trials for the time being. As for hardware support, FFB on my CSL Elite is fantastic, grip on tarmac and dirt differs from Dirt Rally 2 for some reason, cars are easier to drive (zero assists) in this game compared to Dirt Rally 2 and I don't even have to tune most of them (except with the BMW M1 I had to turn down open diffs), before the first retail patch the game wouldn't recognize my handbrake but now it does after the patch. The stages are good, some of them are super difficult such as Mexico and Japan and best to learn with a WRC Jr or VW Golf GTI.
Love Forza, been playing the series since Forza 2 on the Xbox 360, but this latest title is just terrible as a whole. It feels like they slapped in an MMO-style grind and forces you to do races in a bone stock car forever before upgrading the car(s) and car handling isn't the best either, feels like a downgrade from previous FM versions. Also has some multiplayer stability and graphics issues. No surprise to how poorly received it is on Steam right now, it fell 78 spots in top sales just after a few weeks of release. Glad I was able to refund it, such an expensive game with some glaring quality drawbacks.
Incredibly fun and stages doesn't have a timer so you don't have to rush through. The content and new features are cool, Nintendo keeps coming up with great ideas to extend the Mario universe. One of the most fun versions since Super Mario World for me, although I do enjoy the "classic" feel of SMB U Deluxe.
Gameplay wise it's pretty fun, I really like the sororitas and tech-adept classes. The mob bashing and ship raiding is pretty fun with a bunch of scenarios. The loot is extremely plentiful and there are some very nice items as well. Plays great on the Steam Deck too. But comes with some issues and occasional crashes. And it's always online, so if the dev decides to shut down this game, it's all over unless they patch in an offline before shutting down. But for now it's very active, it's currently in a season which lasts 6 months.
While it's fun, gameplay is great and some of the class combat action is one of the best but comes with so many issues but it's still a work in progress and is being regularly maintained and patched. Give the small dev team a chance.
An APRG game that's inspired by Diablo 2 and 3 and has an offline feature. Many hours worth of gameplay in this one and isn't complex like Path of Exile.
As a fan of ARPG games especially past Diablo games, Diablo IV disappoints as expensive as it is. Early on it's great and the story/campaign is spot on and keeps you engaged but once you hit level 40-45 and finish the story, it's a kick in the nuts, the content is extremely bland. Blizzard is also sluggish on addressing issues, such as inventory management for gems, your bag would be full of it then your stash would be full of it, as vaulable as they were, you had to create dummy characters to hold them. They took almost 2 months to fix that (they originally said they'd wait for season 2 to patch that fix). Oh and why are there long cooldowns? That's almost unheard of in the APRG genre. And the always online is a bit of a turnoff. Now that it's on Steam, I'm seeing something happening online, a lot of "this game is the best!" campaigning going on and even Blizzard reaching out to celebrities like Elon Musk and Whoopi Goldberg praising the game (even though Whoopi said she can't play it on her Mac). Blizzard is obviously desperate for more users since they lost a ton during season 1. I'm back to playing Last Epoch, Path of Exile and Diablo 3.
Not as terrible as many are saying, it has a rocky launch just like every other Battlefield game since 1942. The audio is terrible but DICE will likely fix that, FPS performance is inconsistent between maps, it's terrible on Kaleidoscope but not bad on others. Good points are that it's easy to kill players, the controls are smooth and flexible, wide weapon and gear customization, beautiful graphics. Bad stuff are: menus and we talked about this with BF1 and BFV, cheaters running amuck right now, game sometimes won't launch, terrible muffled and quiet audio (was fine in beta), some maps are TOO big and too hard on graphics performance, some keybinds are hardcoded to certain keys if you're left handed or like to use different keys, FOV configuration takes some figuring out. If you're on the fence, try it through Steam and refund it if you don't like it, or wait a few months for fixes and price drop.
Konami has spent over two years on this release and gave us a demo, now we have to wait another month for more features. This already gave EA and FIFA a win, lots of PES/eFootball players has already gone over to FIFA 22. Konami seems much more interested in the mobile market hence giving us mobile-like graphics even on next-gen consoles and PC. The Unreal Engine is dynamic and powerful, yet Konami gave us disfigured faces and animations, Defending has become more difficult with the removal of second man press. Konami also put out a note not to change controller layout since it might break the game. GOOD JOB KONAMI, I'm a long time ISS/PES player and this is just embarrassing, I'm sticking to 2021 when I want to play some Master League matches.
Having been a FIFA and PES/ISS player since the 90s, FIFA is getting worse while PES is getting better, this game is very much the same as 2020 but with some improved animations and physics and the best part it is at a lower price this year than usual. I'm personally looking forward to PES on Unreal Engine next year. I rate it at a 7 because fouls are absent again and team tactics are buggered, if you can find an options file out there that changes teams' long ball tactics to tight midfield tactics or manually change them yourself then you have a good game vs AI. I rarely ever bother with myClub so I'm not going to comment on that, I'm mainly a Master League player and so far ML is solid.
If you've played Front Page Sports Football throughout the 90s, you'll feel right at home with this game. I feel like I'm playing one of those FPSF games again, I'm not expecting a lot out **** like this but it was cheap and has league sizes up to 130 teams at its disposal and has plenty of customization from logos, jerseys, plays and leagues. Comparing it to 2018 and 2019, it's obvious this small company is moving forward with improving this game so hopefully next year or 2022 the game will look far more polished, so if you're into college football or even Canadian football (it has a 9 team option with special rules) then support this dev team. Mind you it's not even close to EA's Madden level of quality in graphics and animations, but it's a hell of a lot less frustrating than the crappy EA yearly releases as Madden 21 is proving to be one of the very worst releases to date and I've played Madden since 1989!
Game feels like a recycled Tomb Raider or Uncharted game, doesn't feel like a Star Wars game. I'm a big Star Wars fan, this is one of the first Star Wars games I'm disappointed in.
Just played the Origin access trial, visually it looks nice but gameplay wise is a different story, it's somewhat fun to play the challenges in MUT but outside that it's where the flaws starts to show. QB's are virtually impossible to stop if they want to scramble or run, why even bother calling a run play when you can make the QB run for half the field when all receivers are being covered? And they juke/spin on the sackers! I basically called no-RB shotgun calls 100% of the time regardless of what defense looked like and when throwing the ball was a no-go, i basically bolted usually gaining 30-40 yards. This is ridiculous, and I thought auto-intercepting CB/SS's of Madden 18 was bad.
Yet another decent PES release, one of the smoothest versions of PES and brings back memories of PES 2013 (even the new menu kind of reminds me of PES 2013 menu style). Gameplay is still fantastic and Master League is a million times better than FIFA's broken career mode, but there are some scripting flaws and refs are a bit too touchy which I hope Konami fixes since if you go offside and the opposition touches the ball you get a foul for some dumb reason. Still waaaaaaaaaay better than FIFA, FIFA 20 is one of the worst I've seen in years.
A good step up from WRC 7, the stages are the best part of the game and some of them are rather challenging. Wheel FFB is an improvement but still not quite at the desirable level, at least I can feel the suspension and road now though. Co-driver is a lot better this year as well and a bit more detailed. My biggest gripe is the FOV, thankfully they added a FOV slider with seat position and height, but cockpit view is god awful so I end up using the dash cam and most prefers the bonet cam. Also WRC 8 is exclusive on the Epic store for a year, which is super annoying after seeing it say "September 2019" on Steam up until a week before release. I also wish there was VR, Dirt Rally 1/2 is amazing in VR, also WRC series lacks proper triple screen support, WRC 8 dash cam in triples is distracting. Overall, good rally game still not quite up to Dirt Rally 1/2's standard.
Get real, this is FIFA 19 with slower pace, one of the worst releases to date. Career mode still untouched, EA is even deleting posts complaining about it.
A fun game, I've played PUBG since before it was official released on Steam and have seen a lot of changes. I picked up PUBG for PS4 and it's been pretty fun so far, but the graphics is stunningly bad, there are times when you just can't make out what's in the distance due to popping texture and lack of anti-aliasing. But outside of that, the gameplay itself is rather fun, especially if you run in squads. Now I hope PU continues to improve this game on the PS4 platform.
EA needs to stop being lazy with this sh* game, but they know they don't need to improve it due to people flocking to buy FIFA points. I had hopes this might be THE year that FIFA might be good again due to slower paced gameplay, but nope I was wrong, it has so many stupid ass bugs it isn't even funny and online gameplay is very very very frustrating, I can't even stand playing offline matches with squad battles either. A waste of a purchase for me this year, I should've skipped like I skipped 11-13, 16 and 18, definitely will not be buying 20. I basically resorted to just doing squad builder challenges and trading on the transfer market (and EA doesn't even want you to do that).
One of the worst to date, I have been playing since NHLPA '93 on PC (and NHL 94 on Genesis) and I thought NHL 15 for XB1/PS4 was the worst followed closely by NHL 07 for XB360/PS3 but no.... NHL 18 is by far one of the worst. EA just aren't listening to our feedback at all, EA are underfunding the NHL dev team and Sean Ramjagsingh doesn't know wtf he's doing. I love hockey, I love playing hockey games, but I really need to break off from this.
Traded away my copy of NBA 2K18 a couple weeks ago then put that trade credit towards Gran Turismo Sport, and then got NBA Live 18 for $20 this week. While 2K18's gameplay is decent, the whole thing off the court is not.
EA's NBA Live has been lousy after 09, I still have 09 for Xbox 360 and it's still fun from time to time but I picked up NBA Live 18 brand new for pennies, it's a clear indication EA are desperate to make sales. Now onto the actual review, it's not NBA 2K, but it isn't loaded with microtransactions and isn't a gridnfest, LUT (Live Ultimate Team) I'd say is the worst of the bunch out of Ultimate Team sports games and doesn't give much value but it's still there for people who want to build a dream team. I'm a franchise type player myself and the AI is actually smarter than that in Madden, NHL and even FIFA. Gameplay wise, it's easy to pick up on and doesn't involve a whole lot of skill, player animation looks a bit dated compared to the smoothness in NBA 2K18. If you're a disgruntled 2K player/veteran, Live 18 probably has enough to keep you entertained if you can find it for a cheap price.
If you liked Codemasters' Dirt Rally, then you'll love WRC 7 and it's a lot better than Dirt 4 is. Forget the past WRC releases because this game is an improvement and is very underrated. It also has better wheel support and FFB. Get it on Steam while it's on sale (Halloween sale).
It's good gameplay-wise and visually satisfying, but the game modes falls short and is online-only, and limiting at that- but get used to that as many more games are headed in that direction. Kaz needs to rethink the Gran Turismo franchise if PD wants to stay competitive with other racing games like Forza.
