Seriously underrated sci fi. Found it enthralling til the end and wish there was a sequel

A masterpiece of scifi cinema so good that even genre haters love this film.

Surprisingly good on a rewatch with my now growing children. Inconsitencies in plot and character behaviour and obviously ridiculous Hollywood "physics" can be overlooked with all the great action and humour on offer. A fun time

Inexplicably good. One of those movies that you have to keep watching once you've started. Probably the best superhero film to date.

The worst movie I have ever seen. Could not get a third of the way through and I watch plenty of rubbish

Mediocre. Some good moments but pretty much no real story to speak of and overly theatrical style that didn't really suit the movie at all. Can't understand how it was so action packed and boring at the same time? Probably due to lack of any real characters

This was surprisingly uninteresting and irritating. A bunch of friends who saw this with me all found it disappointing. We watched the Avengers a couple of days later and all loved it so we aren't all negative.

If you don't love this movie you are the kind of person who will never be happy. This movie was everything it needed to be. Took the best of the original movies and made it more current and epic

I didn't know Hollywood could pump out a major action franchise sequel this terrible. I had to stop watching after 45 minutes because of the shear awfulness of this tripe and that has never happened to me before with an action flick (generally pretty forgiving with this genre). Should be called "The Day Die Hard Died". Woeful plot, rushed pacing, awkward script, no character development, embarrassing acting, poor direction and ridiculous action to summarise just a few of the problems. This makes movies like the Expendables and some of Steven Seagal's later work seem perfectly watchable.

A movie called "The Happening" in which nothing really happens. Somehow the direction made class leading actors appear totally void of talent. For once the critics seem to have scored this more appropriately than the users. The longer M. Night Shyamalan makes movies the worse he gets. Only redeeming feature is some unintentionally hilarious suicide scenes. Dreadful waste of time. Holds the record for being the worst movie I have sat all the way through, and I watch all kinds of **** Avoid at all costs

Good action flick provided you can check your brain at the door and ignore the ridiculous science explanations (Morgan Freeman has never sounded so unconvincing). It's a bit predictable in parts but alot of the film is pure eye candy including most of the special effects and the main chase scene! Very watchable

Detestable egocentric narcissistic selfish main characters mean you just don't care what happens to any of them. Four of us watched this and all agreed it was pretty disappointing. It offers not much more than gimmicky continuous shooting and mild offensive shocks. I'm genuinely surprised at the number of positive reviews.

Loved this movie. Pays homage to the original without copying too much and follows an original storyline which I liked a lot. Great action/SFX and acting. Only docked one point cos it takes a while to get to get going. Highly recommended.
