One of the, if not the best ACs ever. Definately better than everything that came after. To only thing in the game that I really dislike are the scaling enemy levels - I genuinely hate that. I quit a lot of other games just because of this feature. Lukily, the scaling can be turned down here, at least partly. And together with the diffulty and the accessibility options Ubisoft already was offering in this title I was able to reduce the annoyance factor to a minimum. Really lucky, because apart from that this game is simply beautiful and should not be missed be any fan of openworld-games, arpgs or action-adventures - this game has it all! ;)
Absolutely fantastic open-world, smooth gameplay + really good story with good actors to present it. This game is such an enrichment for the whole franchise, even if it doesn't represent the classic AC-gameplay all over the playtime. It's still a fabulous adventure to experience!

Bagdad is absolutely beautiful - but the game itself is very standard. The controls are really not great, which is quite the issue considering a big part of the gameplay is climbing and parcour.

If not for 007 - First Light - this game would be my GotY so far in 2026 (writing late August). Another game I expected merely to be solid action entertainment but turned out to be an absolute blockbuster game. Atmospheric, slightly philosophic, but mainly absolutely fun and enjoyable to play. Visually absolutely stunning! The same esthetic , that I know from slower games like Aphelion, Deliver us Mars/the moon. But even better and more rich in details. A treat for every scifi und space fan to look at! I love the perfect balance between action and discovering - the game pacing is on-point, a rare feature these days. Also the game length is perfectly planned in order to tell the story, show the world design but don't let you get used to much to it. Although I was beginning to actually hate the word "collectable" in reference to games - in this game, I love that part, too!
All the exploring and upgrading feels as intrinsic rewarding and motivating as possible for a videogame. The only part I didn't enjoy are the simulations, which unfortunately unlike 007 are not kept outside the main game, but are necessary to complete for a huge part of the collectibles and equipment in the game. So I felt I had to deduct at least one point for that - because out of 20 simulations all after the 5 or 6 felt just annoying and a bother to having to play them. Combat difficulty aside from those sims is well scalable to be accessable to a lot of players.
Personally I would have preferred to save my game also during exploring, but the save points are placed fair enough in the game world even for me to accept it. All-in-all by far my favourite Capcom-Game ever and definately in my personal top3 play recommandations 2026 so far.

Simply amazing what IO Interactive pulled off with this game. Nothing wowed me like this game since Clair Obscur. And before that maybe Ghost of Tsushima. I've been playing video games for over 30 years now, so I that get "woved" easily. This has to do with my expectation: IO Interactive, to me solely known because of their Hitman Game Series, which to me are ok games, I expected something like that with a strong movie license. A good license game like the 2009 Wolverine or Hogwarts Legacy. But this game amazed me from the very first to the end!
Story, Action, World- and level-design, gameplay - everything is absolutely on point and made simply to make every in-game spent minute enjoyable. I really hope this game has the success it deserves - because I certainly would love to see more games of this quality focussing on pure player's fun and enjoyment. Thank you IO for this game!

Story is interesting enough, and the two protagnist speaker are doing a good job. This is one thing I expected from Don't nod, being a fan of their games since Remember Me (which was really great). I really love their creative ideas for stories and settings - from the mentioned Remember Me, over Vampyr to this cute little Scifi-Story. What I don't know understand: how can you manage making a step backwards gameplay-wise with every new game you develop? That being said, I am still ok. I like good stories, and I am totally ok with a good walking sim from time to time. But I am really getting annoyed with game developers obsession with "collectibles" and similar methods of artificial stretching of play time. Even more annoying is it, when a game expects you to look for collectibles, but closes the way with invisible barriers every few steps of the way - this is something almost kill all the joy of playing A plague tale for me. Another game with outstanding story and acting but a lot of unnecessary annoying limitations in gameplay.
AND, non-trackable collectables are one of the stupidest ideas in game developing history. Aphelion has combines the three above mentioned problems. Plus another few things that are potentially bothering like problems with animations and the moveset of the character - and that I would consider just minor flaws. All-in-all, I really would wish for Don't nod to concentrate on the things they do good (story and dialogues), improve in the gameplay part or at least don't design the game in a way it emphasizes it's flaws, and just don't annoy fans and players with unnecessary limitations to badly strech the play time for 10 or 15 %.
I'd rather enjoy a good story and smooth gameplay for 4 hours then being "occupied" for 8 hours and annoyed or bored half of that time. Then I could just appreciate them for creative and heart-warming ideas and courage to turn those into games for a growingly challenging market.

Wow! I am currently still playing, but I am absolutely satifsfied with the gaming experience here. I really hope, demo and trial version would become more standard again, because without the free trial period (2 hours) incl. in my PS Plus membership, I would have never given this game a fair chance due to it's reputation and early reviews. Honestly, I have no idea how it was on release, but it's a more than solid single player story-driven action-game. Linear and without annoying filling materials (love this about it).
To give the right expectation: it's neither a gameplay revolution like Half-Life 2, nor a narrative masterpiece like TloU, Not quite that level. But a solid 7/10. Some flaws exist, of course. Like the performance (standard PS5) is still not perfect, especially during the car chases. And I was annoyed with the cpr minni-game, needed a few minutes here, which seemed too much for the narrative nature of the game which most of the time does a good job of keeping the tension and players interest high. But nothing really big or game breaking, really. All-in-all: if you enjoy a good, straigth-forward action game like those of the Mafia-franchise - give this game a fair shot. Chances are good that you won't regret it! :)

Gothic 1 Remake8
Jun 6, 2026

Life is Strange: Double Exposure6

Voice acting is great, but everything else in the game doesn't quite reach the class of the first game. Especially annoying that the game doesn't allow any dialog skipping except in the 'explore scene' mode, which is practically useless - even for collectables. No idea if buggy or bad design, but really annoying when I am not allowed to play a game as I want to. Similar with the trophies/achievement: I don't mind a little work or a good challenge, but simply making me repeat stuff until a feel like sick of them ia NOT challenging in a good way - merely my patience was tested. And on top the game got one of the most ridiculous and uselesss DLCs I've ever seen. Like if your not sure up to this point that the whole game was just an emotionless cash-grab, the DLC proofs the greed. A big publisher like Square Enix should simply be ashamed of selling this so called DLC for extra money to people, who already paid almost 80 € for a game that doesn't really deserve it. Again, really sorry for the actors, because they did a very good job. But the game as a product is only worthwhile if you can get it on a really good sale and does not honour the license or the publishers name.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 210
Apr 29, 2026
One of my favourite games of 2025! Amazing "Vampires in Seattle" atmosphere, beatiful graphics - especially the main characters are very detailled, and a combat system which is unusal, but feels amazing and makes total sense once you get used it. What I enjoyed the most was the great story and superb dialogues. I wished the game would've been more seen as the unique story-driven action game that it is, instead of being bad-mouthed for stupid reasons like not beeing a 'real rpg' or 'a worthy successor to VTM Bloodlines". Those statements aren't wrong, but beside the point jeduging this game itself. Also, the arguments don't matter if you're just looking for an amazing story-driven game with interesting and creative gameplay features. On this point: everybody I personally recommended to try playing the game without prejudice agreed, that is a really worthwhile game and of the best 2025 single player experiences. The platinum trophy requirement of having to finish at least 4 playtroughs is admitedly insane... but I enjoyed 2 playtroughs very much; so I might still go for another one sooner or later.

Deliver Us The Moon5

Graphic and sounds are superb, and the story is fairly interesting. To bad the game is not able to keep up with presentation. Controls lack precision and really don't good. The slow movement from collectable to collectable makes are major part of the game but gets boring than to soon in the game. And when the game is trying to challenge with a action part, it becomes just annoying - mainly again because of the controls. Best part of the gameplay are definately a few clever puzzles, where the lacking precision of the controls doesn't matter. But other than that gameplay is really more work than fun, which I did for a few hours just to see the rewarding presentation of the game; thankfully the game is not very long, so most players should be able to push trough to satisfy their curiosity about the moon stations destiny.

Indie-Gaming at it's best! This cute little plattformer is not too spectacular in presentation, story or challenge - BUT: it's pure fun! And it's made to be, with creativity and a lot of love for videogames, that much you can tell after playing it for a couple of hours. If you like plattformers, or if you are like me when I stumpled upon this gem, tired of games that are too big and too boring, you won't regret trying this one - it brings back the simple joy of playing a clever and perfectly crafted video game just like those games that once made Nintendo big and famous. Difficulty, game length and balancing are just perfect, and I didn't stumple upon a single bug or glitch during the whole experience until full completion.
Please bring us more games like this, Massive Monster. Aside this game and Cult of the lamb I see only a Hardcore-plattformer on your page - which looks nice, but I am not into hardcore-difficulties.
So please give us more games like "The Adventure Pals' - it's really 'on the spot' for me in almost every way!

A true videogame gem - not too flashy or too big; instead it's charms with beautyful presentation, clever game mechanics and perfect balancing! Probably my Ubisoft-Favourite! Especially as a change too the awesome AC-open worlds, which I love to experience, but after every game I feel totally overfed like after a asian food buffet. This is the kind of games we need more of!

Stunning visuals, atmospheric music, and overall good level design. The Story will definately get you emotianally, but not leave unsatisfied. If only the game pacing wasn't this tiresome. Controls are also a bit too fidgety for the precision the game sometimes demands. All managable in the end, and the overall experience will be worth it for most gamers. But the experience is not without flaws.

Raji: An Ancient Epic - Enhanced Edition8
Feb 15, 2026
The game has mainly it's stunning visuals, great music and nice story with deep and rich influence of the indian culture going for it. The gameplay is ok for the studios first title, but nothing that would've sold me the game alone.
The whole package on the other hand was worth the round about 5 hours of my free time. Now I am looking forward to the next Raji-game, which will hopefully reach the next level of video game development.

Horrible piece of work. Ok graphics for this kind of game. But the rest is hardly acceptable. Sound is recorded with minimum efforts. Same sounds and speech-files are used repeatedly and too often, if for the short game length. Controls are bad. Auto-aim can't be turned off, as there are no options for controls whatsoever.
Gameplay consists of hardly more than a handful of mini-game, all often seen in better form in previous games. Balancing in the game is not existing; especially in "Challenge-Mode", which consists of 27 challenge, again the handful of mini-games from the campaign in slight variation - but while most are very easy, (easiest level is literally 35 seconds mashing one single button!), a few are simply frustrating and even adults won't be able to help - on "children-difficulty"!
The creators obviously don't know a lot about video-game development, and nothing about children.
But the publisher should heave heard of quality control. Or game/product testing. Sadly not, either. We are definitely not keeping this game. And I recommend not to buy it. For the requested price, you'll be able to buy 2 or more far better games that are really appropriate and fun for children of different ages.

Absolutely overrated by the press.
Especially when I look at what the ratings of over 90% are supposed to mean: mostly something like 'game is enjoyable for every gamer', I am really wondering what testers are thinking. If one thing more than anything is true about Fromsoft games, it's the fact that they are definitely not for every one. Never meant to be.
This is another "soulsgame" by the inventor of soulsgames. Not more, not less.
If you liked previous Fromsoft Games, you'll very likely enjoy this one, too. Openworld-Design is good, artdesign too, I'd say the artdesign is Fromsoft's strenght in general. At least for me it's the reason to play their games. But gameplay & story are very average, menu and hud are old fashioned. The balancing is off, once again. Zero accesibility. And a difficulty, that provokes, practically expects tricking and "cheesing" of the enemies.
Everything well known. All ok for fans expecting exactly this. But not great for new players who try the game mislead by the one-sided reviews.
