The story is much more cohesive than in the base game. Although it is a side story, an addition to the main story, and we don't learn too much about poor Carlo, it is a moving, interesting story in itself with an uplifting ending. This is what the base game couldn't achieve for me with its stupid choices. Here we run straight into the inevitable ending, but that's why the whole outcome is somehow much more heroic and beautiful. The final boss fight is also top notch, but the ending and after credit scenes are the best! This is the experience when you feel like, well, this is why the suffering was worth it, it was worth playing through X hours! The weapons available are great, oh that rose sword! I was pushing myself to get it at the end, and yes, yesss! Somehow the levels are more memorable, even if only because of their difficulty or complexity, sometimes I even dreamed about them. ;) The side stories are also somehow much more interesting and heartbreaking, not to mention the (literary) easter egg, for example, which was the highlight for me. So overall, I could say that this DLC is harder than the base game, and often much more boring, but the unfolding life stories and catharsis at the end make up for all that. Well, that's how you should end a work! It's definitely a lasting experience. :)

I was terribly disappointed. As much as I loved the base game, I hated this one. I don't know if it was me or the game, but 2 years ago when I played the base game, I really enjoyed it, it became one of my favorites of the year. Now I struggled with it like an animal, the controls were difficult, my character bounced like a rubber ball, and never made the movements I intended for him. Instead of hanging, he often caught himself and jumped off the cliff or edge. The marking on the map and HUD was misleading or disappeared when I got close to the place. Enkidu was barely controllable, it was extremely difficult to mark anything with him. Oh, and my horse somehow got lost, even though it was supposedly equipped. The combat is very flat, I didn't remember it being so random, rushed, and boring. So I couldn't really enjoy the story because I was struggling with the game instead. It's true that the DLC also came with a major update that touched on the game mechanics, including parkour. Could that be the reason for all this?! The minimum star for me was because of the ending, because Basim's last scenes with his father were very beautiful and heartbreaking. P.S. and you can't start the DLC from the main menu! I only figured out the horribly complicated way that you have to start with the dervish, after several hours!

So did you like DS3 in the end? Very much! And I'm especially glad that I finished it without any particular rage quit. It has a good atmosphere, a captivating atmosphere, and the locations and enemies are varied (you have to think about what the best way to fight them is). Of course, you can go crazy and go all out, but that's not my style. The transitions are also nice, it's a shame they skimp on them so much... In any case, this game is a huge success, and since I didn't max it out completely, I might look back...

It's a perfect game! This is also a undeservedly underrated game. I feel like someone figured out that it was bad to denigrate it, and everyone has been harping on about it ever since! Meanwhile, it's a great game, set in an exciting historical era, in an exotic location. On the other hand, the characters are great, I completely fell in love with my own character, but the others became very nice to me too. They are right, interesting, you could get excited for them. Graphics: the nature, the textures are okay, the faces are expressive and beautiful, the npc's and enemies are relatively individual. The voice acting is also expressive and good to listen to, I really liked the Japanese language during this. And let's not forget about the humor! I think the combat is brilliant, especially for those who like Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo's combat mechanics. I really fell in love with it in Ninja Gaiden, and I loved being able to practice it here too. Overall, this is a great fighting game that showcases an exciting era in a Japanese setting, with likeable characters to root for, a roving open world full of beautiful details, shrines and torii gates, blooming cherry trees, and snow-covered streets in Kyoto, and cats and dogs to pet.

Nioh 3

The aiming is terrible, my own attacks are very delayed, often the character's movement is too, even though I have stamina, often the system leads my character into the enemy's attacks instead of avoiding them. I played the first demo all the way to the boss at the end of the demo, but I can't do this version?! Unfortunately, I have to say that although I love Team Ninja's combat system, like Rise of the Ronin or Ninja Gaiden or Wo Long, this Nioh 3 is a mess in terms of combat mechanics. I say this because I've already tried Nioh 1 and 2. But it's impossible for an enemy to randomly kill me or not every time I go there. And you can't know where I'm going wrong if I make a mistake (and in soulslike games you can, that's why you learn from your deaths), because I do the same thing and still die randomly. Or I go back to a lower level at a higher level and die, even though I easily got through the mobs there at a lower level. The other thing that is not logically understandable from the outside: why is there a boss at the very beginning that is invincible, since the player has no level, no good weapons, no good gear, no skills, nothing, but still defeats a much higher level boss!? What good is this anyway, apart from the gatekeeper?! And besides, the whole boss is only needed to demonstrate the mystical plus combat ability in action. In other words, this is just a tutorial! So do you really have to stop the player from learning how to really play!? :D Moreover, several people complained about control problems! Among other things, the attack button often didn't work for me either, which is very annoying, especially when there are several enemies around you, or when the boss is around, your character just grips his sword and doesn't hit the god (even though he has stamina, is there, everything), no matter how much I press the buttons. Plus, enemies often hit you sideways, but you still get hurt, many people complained about this too. I admit that all of this is very disappointing for me. It seems that the lessons/feedback from the first demo were not taken into account, and in fact this version worked even worse for me, even though the beginning was very tailored for beginners (as a soulslike streamer complained). Somehow they can't find the proportions... Either they start with you having to rotate the camera, but then I wouldn't put such a boss at the beginning, because by then the beginner won't be able to learn how to prevail in the fights, or I intend the game for pro gamers, then the tutorial can easily be omitted. However, in the latter case, it's worth considering that they can only sell their game to a fraction of the potential players!

The game gets a downgrade from me because of the unresolved access to the dlc. It's outrageous that you can only access the dlc at one point in the game, but the game doesn't warn you that if you don't go to the dlc there, you can only do it in new game plus. But if you've already paid for the dlc, why can't you play it??? It's just because you finished the main game. I consider this to be absolute cheating and a betrayal of the players! Shame on you!
