Waifu Souls is exactly what you would expect, and doesn't dissappoint. As a die'hard fan of souls games,I found this one pretty appealing, and once I started playing, it was a non-stop until 4 days later, I managed to beat the game, create a new character and start over again, at the same time I did a NG+ to find all the missing blood codes on my first run. PROS: - The most robust and friendly character creation I have encountered in a lot of time. - The ability to create new builds by using blood codes and blood veils. One single character can be used for several types of builds so, fun never ends. - Character design is great, some bosses are extremely weird but appealing (like rib cage) - AI is actually pretty helpful, but you can skip it if you want more challenge. CONS: - Boring characters, nothing that anime/jrpg veterans haven´t seen before - Low variety of low-level opponents - It only has 5-6 different outfits for your character! - Online mode is only for helping people. No PVP and no other game modes.

Not the Fire Emblem I expected, yet a very worthy one. I thought the inability to get children characters would be a letdown, but you don't really mind so much. The gameplay got improved with the special skills, and being bond to certain weapons or classes on your characters gives you the chance to actually build the army you wish for. They really invested in the support conversations, since there are a ton of them, every character has a a couple of special scenes (or even more) with everyone else, making it virtually impossible to get them all on a single run, making every person's experience different from others, and adding more replay value. Fire Emblem Hogwarts was a risky gamble, and it nailed it. Probably not the best Fire Emblem ever, but it is pretty close to it.

As someone who find hack 'n slash games boring, I am pretty impressed on this title. The art is amazing, basically keeps as the best art direction on a WiiU game so far, beautiful colors, amazing enemies and memorable and epic bosses. The story can go weird sometimes, needing the player to play a chapter again to understand some stuff (the overuse of slang doesn't help up very much when it is not your mother tongue), but in the end, you find a very quick action-packed story and game, which won't give you time to get bored. The variety of weapons seems decent to get multiple playstyles, and combining them with Bayonetta's legs allow for a wider variety of styles, most of the secrets aren't very obvious but yet they aren't hidden in impossible ways either so, it really reinforces the exploration feeling. it is a very awesome game in which you can customize your playstyle with different combos (buying them) or getting items which allow to reinforce your playstyle (or compensate your weaknesses), but I must say none of these are cheap so, sometimes you will end up farming to get those precious artifacts to equip to Bayonetta, and the music is what you would expect from a game taking biblic elements in it (like a lot of epic choruses), which finally manage to maintain the atmosphere and make the battles more dramatic. In the end, this is another killer-app which WiiU owners must seriously consider to get, it is made for the beginners, and for the most hardcore players out there too so, there is no real reason to not get this game... either not owning a WiiU is a reason so, go and buy one for this!

First Nintendo app so, everything can't be perfect in here. It is a simple social media attempting to make you know better your friends, in which it does ok, also it is very funny to take pictures and make memes or anything you want with it, which is an unexpectedly enjoyable feature, the amount of costumes and outfits is right, and increasing day by day, which is always excellent. Bad thing is it lacks other activities, being the pseudo-crane game the only one to get special items, or the crappy candies most of the time; I think the game needs serious content updates to provide more minigames to make it more entertaining, also a way to customize your room would be really appreciated, since it seems like a lost feature rather than intended in that way. So, if you don't have many friends to add, this app will bore you pretty quickly, otherwise, you will find a funny app to share photos and comments on your friends.

Pokken Tournament

Wii U doesn't have Street Fighter V, and actually it doesn't need it... EVER! Pokkén Tournament has been compared many times with SFV by the press, and the negative things that they consider on Pokkén, are the same things they just ignore or "praise" on SFV, so the obvious subjetive preference can be seen. The roster is kind of low for a modern fighting game (which nowadays require at least 24 fighters to be considered good), and fortunately they got very unique movesets among them, and variety coming from a chandelure, a four-armed touad, and a water-dog with their unique attacks. Trainer customization is wide and you can make a trainer in the way you want, even if this is only to have a pretty or bad-ass avatar anytime you play offline or online. The online mode goes smooth and great, something that amazes in Nintendo for a fighting game, if only they did the same with Smash Bros. You can still enjoy the story mode, to unlock more stuff and money, and also playing vs someone in the same room, one watching the TV screen and the other the Gamepad (since this game has a Naruto/dragon Ball-like camera for the fighters) Anyway, you will have a lot of fun hours with this, which is basically almost the dream of every Pokémon player out there. Awaiting for Pokkén Tournament 2 whether they make it, if so, I hope it gets a roster from 24 to 50 characters this time.

For a casual game, this one makes it alright, having chance to F2P to shine on this, making the fact of paying just a shortcut to get a wider collection with more possibilities. This doesn't mean that a focused F2P can make a goal to make certain deck, dominate it and conquer the ladder, something I already did. Many negative reviews here come from people who lack the skill to play and the courage to admit they are not good enough to adapt to the shifting metagames, punishing hard the game for something that Blizzard didn't do wrong, and remember that TCGs aren't for everyone, they got a specific niche in a way other games such as Dark Souls saga or the last Super Mario Bros installments have. Variety of classes with their own specific ways to win and control the board, tons of neutral minions to complete your custom deck, it becomes a cycle of build, play, fail, rebuild, play and fail again until you get a decent deck and the vision of how to play it, which is enough to get wins in this game. Very recommendable, more now that you can play on your phone as well.

Although it is a very small game,,even it feels as an indie game rather than a AAA, this game is incredibly fun and ejoyable. This game is mostly for online gaming, even if it includes a slow but kind of funny story mode, and also a very boring 1vs1 mode for local play (destroying baloons is pretty boring after 5 plays with your friend, with no chance of using custom weapons or outfits) The 4 vs 4 feels right for the size of the scenarios, and 3 minutes is right. If you want to have it more strategic, and more play time (usually), competitive mode becomes a must to play, where you find all the fun on this game. The variety of weapons is HUGE and still increasing over time, and the amount of scenarios finally reached a decent amount by the time I wrote this review. Definitely a game you must get if you own a WiiU, and I hope that this gets a sequel on WiiU (with an online mode that allow two persons in a same console to join a match in split-screen)

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

This is a review from someone who has never played a Tekken game before. I must say that, the roster is pretty wide, and characters have their very own playstyle, without counting some obvious clones (like 8 or 10 from the roster). The fact that you can play from a ninja to a boxing kangaroo or the Real Kung Fu Panda makes it really enjoyable. The gameplay feels very quick for a 3D fighting game, and the tag mode is decent, but could had been improved, most of the time feeling like a simple tagging and not a real cooperative battle (excepting from the destruction punches and the tag throws, and that you can tag with your partner landing from above to your opponent). 4 years after its release, surprisingly there is still a lot of persons playing online so, it is still an excellent aquisition even if you consider to play it online.

Mario Party 10

A very enjoyable game to have for family and friends, can get really fun. This game would be good by itself, but sadly this is the 10th installment of a franchise coming since N64. Comparing it with their predecesors, we find a very empty Mario Party game, having half the minigames the others, half the boards, and half the fun mechanics. the fact that you don't get a mini-game on each player's iteration and having a finishing square rather than being a circle board makes it to have less minigames per play thus, less player's interactions between them. I hope that if Nintendo releases a Mario Party 11, they try and make it like Mario Party 1, 2 or 8, which had a lot of fun mechanics, a variety of minigames, boards spendable items and such. An online mode would be pretty appreciated next time too (without removing the 5 players on same WiiU modes)

Pretty vast and beautiful world full of life. Awesome the fact that the mobs' levels vary a lot in the very same areas, making it more organic. The music is excellent and the battle mechanics are an upgrade of Xenoblade Chronicles, and has one of the most flexible class systems an RPG can have. However, story is simpler than its predecesor, and the characters lack the charisma for a JRPG, getting low on this one. Anyway, a great title that cannot be missed up, more due to not many open world games on WiiU.
