Another dramatic, sentimental, nail-biting depiction of real warfare in the same vein as Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers. This series surpasses the others in grit and gore, so be forewarned. Historical dramas of this quality should not be missed.

I thought it was great and didn't shy away also from the more brutal side of the war and didn't portray all US soldiers only being good guys etc. And it did show the brutality of it all, and why we should avoid any wars in the future.

Starts up well but then declines into boredom and by episode 5 I was nodding off. It's an ok watch if you have nothing else better to do.

It's just incredible what they've done. Just goosebumps and a terrific TV show. MUST WATCH.
