The Outlaws

This third series – another delicious blend of thrills and titters – delivers a resounding finale with no further questions, your honour.

The six hour-long episodes offer an intriguing blend of sharp comedy and genuine danger, as the gang stumbles into a local drug cartel's messy business.

The good news is that the second series came firing on all cylinders and teeming with quality awkwardness and filth.

There aren’t too many thrills in The Outlaws’ comeback episode, which is fine because we’re content just to hang out with the characters for a while. We’re happy to be part of their gang.

There are little twists along the way, too, but they come as genuine surprises rather than expected beats. Despite its familiar framework, The Outlaws manages to make its story unique in small yet important ways.

The aim of Stephen Merchant and Elgin James’ comedy-thriller series is to dig beyond these types, finding common ground among vastly different characters and building bridges between them that transcend the usual divisions of class or politics or social status. And while its results on that front are mixed at best, a likable cast and genial sense of humor nevertheless make for a generally pleasant time.

There are one or two laughs, mostly from Merchant, but the overall effect is very BBC comedy, and not entirely in a good way. This schtick can work, but it needs a lot of charm to compensate for the complete absence of glamour. From this first hour, it’s not clear whether The Outlaws has it.

A balanced and endearing lineup of characters that supports an equally well-paced narrative. Both seasons are distinctly enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this show! A great mix of genres including comedy (Merchant's Character especially is laugh out loud), drama and crime. I hope there is a 3rd season because I love the characters and their differing stories.

Holds up ok across the first half of the series... until one eventually gets sick of the show continuously dipping into its woke preachy mode. In the end, unwatchable.

I don't know what people are raving about, this ****. Christopher Walken is always good, but **** he was in Joe Dirt too.

Voici une énième série woke de chez ****… et.. qu’est-ce que je raconte, moi, ça vient du con-current, à savoir Amacon-Amawoke ! mais c’est la même merde au final, bien évidemment. Quoi qu’on ne tienne certainement pas jusqu’à un quelconque final, car, plus on avance, plus la série est wokisée à fond les ballons. C’est une série à cet égard complètement radicalisée dans la wokerie progressiste d’extrême-gauche. Ainsi, l’on tente de suivre un groupe de paumards divers et avariés en cure de… non en probation dans des travaux d’intérêt général… ce ne sont là que des clichés ambulants sous couvert de la comédie de très bas étage ici, laquelle sombre régulièrement dans l’ennui, la maladresse, la vulgarité et la bêtise complaisante. C’en est rapidement gênant et consternant (en dehors de prêcher constamment pour sa paroisse woke et les minorités en majorité) alors que la série dresse des portraits des différents protagonistes, de mauvaises caricatures ni faites ni à faire et même pas drôles pour autant, ni de près ni de loin, à moins bien sûr d’être (déjà) défoncé au protoxyde d’azote, cela va sans dire.
