If you loved the Soup then you'll love Joel McHale show. The show is set up exactly the same way. The only difference is you'll hear a few more curse words. NetFlix is releasing episodes every week.

Okay, it is almost exactly like The Soup and it's still weird to see a show like this on Netflix, but I don't care. Bring on more Joel McHale.

I will always have room for a show like this. The Soup was always one of my secret pleasures back in the day, its poked fun art itself while poking fun at others and Mchales deadpan delivery rounded the whole show into something that was easy to sit down an watch for 30 minutes a week. The problem for me of course was it was on E! and i enjoy having a soul. Netflix to the rescue and after one episode the signs are great, already a pleasant variety of shows getting picked on and Mchale hasnt really missed much of a beat. Netflix seem happy to let the show be R18 and poke fun at themselves. If you want 27 minutes of dumb laughter without the politics, give this show a go.

Pretty funny show! That's my kind of humor (silly and sometimes a bit over the top). Joel McHale shows the world why most young people doesn't watch TV anymore.

The Joel McHale is essentially in the same as The Soup in which Joel McHale, who many will recognise from the (mostly) excellent Community, shows and comments on clips of various weird and wacky TV shows from both the US and the rest of the World. Some of the jokes land, some fall flat, but the show never takes itself or anything else seriously and the light hearted vibe makes for an entertaining watch most of the time.

Most well known for his dry, harsh character on Community, Joel McHale brings all that but less to his new Netflix special. The 20-minute comedy-news recap fails to compare to any other shows of its kind, its best gags simple jabs at the host-company itself. Overall the show made me laugh, but the gags were cheap, boring and unoriginal. Almost feels like Joel McHale's creative humour has been sold out in order to cash in on a comedian who can (and has) do better.

Gave this a pretty low score for obvious reasons if anyone watches it. First and foremost, PAUL FEIG. The same asswipe who decided to ruin the Ghostbusters franchise single-handedly is also guilty of not allowing Joel McHale to just run the show the way it deserves to be ran: Joel unleashed. That was what made Talk Soup (and to a lesser extent, Community) such fantastic shows and with the Joel McHale show, you get about 20% of what you expect. Most skits are interrupted by random TV/Celebrity personalities who get on and ramble or make piss poor jokes before plugging their own individual shows/movies/etc. It's almost poetic in the way that Netflix is now putting out advertisements masked as shows. If you can stomach Paul Feig's horrid directing/producing to actually watch Joel McHale's parts, then it's worth watching. . . but only for a little while. I couldn't find myself watching much past episode 6. The constant interruptions by celebrities and bad skits just made it too cringe-worthy.
