Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable...2
Jan 21, 2026
Did I laugh? No. Was I annoyed? Yes. A lot. The show is almost entirely about him trying to explain why he took Saudi blood money. And to top it all off a nice jab at Israël, of course.
2 stars for who he used to be, but to sit through this was a chore.

Bookish7
Jan 21, 2026
I came across this show by accident, because we strolled into the set of the show in Namur in Belgium. Turns out it's actually quite enjoyable.
Jan 21, 2026
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy6
Jan 21, 2026
It's not great. Some of it does feel like Trek, but some of it is taking it a step too far. And Holly slouching in that chair annoys me to no end. A captain's chair deserves some respect.
Jan 21, 2026
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms8
Jan 21, 2026
It's a bit slow, but maybe that's good. So far it feels like GoT and it's always nice to feel part of that world again.

Pluribus9
Dec 9, 2025
It's hard to find fault with this. The story, ridiculous as it is, is just incredibly well done. And the acting is also really good. Only problem I have with it is that it's not serious enough for me.
Dec 9, 2025
Robin Hood (2025)7
Dec 9, 2025
It's nice enough, but man ... there is a lot of crying in medieval England. Sorry, I mean Saxon. But it is entertaining nonetheless. And Sean Bean is always good.
Sep 21, 2025
Chief of War10
Sep 21, 2025
This was just everything I wanted from this and more. Sure, it had its good and not so good episodes. But overall it was just so cool. I wish I knew more about the symbolisme of outfits and tattoos. It made me want to learn more about the history and I can't remember the last time a show did that. Epic finale too.
Mar 24, 2025
Dope Thief9
Mar 24, 2025
It can sometimes be hard to watch, because of the violence and the hopelessness. But everything about it is just so good. Real characters in a real environment. And great acting.
Feb 5, 2025
Paradise (2025)8
Feb 5, 2025
This was a pleasant surprise for me. I had no idea what kind of show this was. Just turned it on and started watching and stayed watching. So the big reveal was actually a big reveal to me. Even without the premise it would still be entertaining, but knowing what this is made it more intriguing.
Feb 5, 2025
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man8
Feb 5, 2025
I was prepared to not like this. Wrong origin story, Aunt May is too young, Harry and Norman are black, everything is too urban. But I liked it and found myself automatically watching episode two after the first one. There will always be things to complain about, but if you look past that you might find an entertaining, feel good, show.

Going Dutch1
Jan 11, 2025
Stereotypes are fine, but if you do them ... get them right! The names and accents were more German than Dutch. 'Traditional' clothing was wrong. Scenery was definitely not Dutch. Whoever wrote this did zero research.
Well ... at least they got the legalized drugs and prostitution right.
Dec 9, 2024
Earth Abides8
Dec 9, 2024
This is a series that I would normally like. Dystopian is my go-to genre. And so far this one is done pretty well. The actors are good. Even though the dialogue can be a bit too clever at times.
Dec 9, 2024
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew9
Dec 9, 2024
The purists will probably hate this, but then again ... they hate just about everything that wasn't created in the late seventies.
I really really like it. And so does my 12-year old daughter. I'm not sure how the story will unfold, but the premise is really interesting to us.
Keep Space Goonies going!

The Penguin9
Oct 8, 2024
This gives me Sopranos vibes and I'm there for it. The chemistry between Oz and Victor is nice and gives the show some feel good moments. But there's some brutal stuff too.
Not what I was expecting, but it's one of my favorite shows at the moment.
Sep 9, 2024
Joe Rogan: Burn The Boats2
Sep 9, 2024
I'll give it a 2, because I remember having a chuckle about something at one point. And because I used to be a fan years ago, before he became somewhat insufferable. I hope he moves on from this and starts something new. I don't mind the bow hunting, jiu jitsu, elk and jalapeños stuff. It's the still being stuck in the pandemic that bothers me. Please move on! The world has too.
Apr 15, 2024
Fallout10
Apr 15, 2024
For like the first time ever I can honestly say I would wanna watch this again right after watching it for the first time. Just to see all the details I've missed. And it's THAT good.
I was a huge fan of Fallout 3 and played it for at least 300 hours. So I was really looking forward to this adaptation. And it did NOT disappoint! The overall look and feel and atmosphere is so close to the game. Also the humor and gore is spot on.
I'm not sure if people who haven't played the game would enjoy it as much, but you should give it a go anyway.
Mar 2, 2024
The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin9
Mar 2, 2024
This is what was missing on tv for years. Even though I wasn't laughing out loud a lot, it is still funny in a good way. Goofy, but clever. And Noel Fielding, basically being himself, can do no wrong.
Feb 26, 2024
Constellation8
Feb 26, 2024
Not sure where this is going, but it felt like For All Mankind for a bit and I absolutely loved that. Apple has been cracking out solid shows and I hope they continue. This looks like another good one.
Feb 26, 2024
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live8
Feb 26, 2024
This was surprisingly pretty good. Grimes was always the best part of Walking Dead and is was good to see him back. I like the new storyline and am curious to see where it will go.
Could it be that after all the horrible spin-offs (some were okay though) they finally have another win on their hands?
Nov 28, 2023
Lawmen: Bass Reeves9
Nov 28, 2023
I haven't watched a western show since Deadwood (Westworld doesn't count) and I hadn't planned on doing so. But the cast seemed interesting, so I gave it a shot. It is now one of my favorite shows.
I'm not a big fan of the time jumps or Bass' home life, but the rest is really good. It definitely helps that David Oyelowo is cool af.
Nov 28, 2023
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters9
Nov 28, 2023
This is actually a compelling show. Already knowing the outcome (sort of), but not knowing everything about how it got there is keeping me entertained. It being kinda slow and not seeing that many monsters yet doesn't bother me at all. Would definitely recommend. Even if you're not a fan. Production values look pretty high too.
Sep 30, 2023
Gen V10
Sep 30, 2023
I don't know what these negative reviews are about. This show is a solid 10 three episodes in. It might even be better than The Boys.
Sep 23, 2023
The Changeling7
Sep 23, 2023
I'm not yet sure where this is going and I haven't read the book. But it feels a good kind of creepy. Apple TV+ is really pumping out some excellent shows now.
Sep 23, 2023
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon8
Sep 23, 2023
Daryl was never my favorite character and he's not the one that makes this an interesting show imo. I've watched a lot of TWD and its spinoffs and most got somewhat stale after a while, but this looks like it could be good. I really enjoyed the first two episodes and am looking forward to more.
Sep 23, 2023
The Continental: From the World of John Wick7
Sep 23, 2023
It looks cool af, but some parts got a little boring. There's some great action in it though, so I'll keep watching for now. It might get better.
Biggest problem is Winston is not likeable to me, while the Ian McShane version has charisma in boat loads.
Aug 5, 2022
Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head: Season 17
Aug 5, 2022
It feels a little like coming home late Saturday night after going out and flipping on the tv. That's when I used to watch the old Beavis and Butt-Head. It hasn't changed much and it shouldn't have to. I didn't laugh or anything during the show, but I also don't remember doing that during the old shows. Most of the fun was in repeating all the Great Cornholio quotes with your friends anyway.
Aug 5, 2022
Resident Evil (2022): Season 18
Aug 5, 2022
I honestly think it's not that bad. There are some nice ideas, good production values, pretty decent acting. I haven't played any of the games and the Milla Jovovich movies were too long ago to remember. So I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised and kept on watching after the first episode ended (which is a good sign for me). I might even finish it (even though I want to watch Sandman now too).
Jun 28, 2022
The Man Who Fell to Earth (2022): Season 14
Jun 28, 2022
It starts out somewhat interesting, but by episode 5 it is barely watchable. It gets too complicated and too far up its own behind.
Jun 23, 2022
Ms. Marvel: Season 12
Jun 23, 2022
I just knew the instant I saw the Metascore of 78 ... that can't be right!? Ah ... there's the User Score. Figures. Looks like this show was made with critics in mind. And I think I gave it an honest shot, but there are just so many clichés and the acting and story are so cringe. I love Marvel shows (hell, I even watched a whole episode of Inhumans), but for me this is about as awful as it can get.
Feb 23, 2022
From: Season 19
Feb 23, 2022
So far I really like it. It's like Under The Dome, but scarier and with less unclear mystery. If this was a series of books I would definitely read it.
Feb 22, 2022
Inventing Anna: Season 11
Feb 22, 2022
I'm watching this with my wife, because her colleague recommended it to her. But it is just so boring and annoying as hell. Almost literally, because Anna's stupid ass accent reminds me of Death from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Oh yeah. And why call it a mini-series when it's 9(!) 1 hour episodes long! I thought we'd be almost done after two, but now I need to watch 7 more hours of this (I think my wife likes it).
Feb 14, 2022
Bel-Air: Season 12
Feb 14, 2022
This is just awful. Or should I say jawn, since they seem to use that word for everything. Really. Like The Smurphs use smurph. Anyway I gave up about halfway through the first jawn.
Jan 14, 2022
Peacemaker: Season 110
Jan 14, 2022
Yes! This is exactly what I needed. This show is hilarious and exciting. John Cena is amazing in this.
Jan 6, 2022
The Book Of Boba Fett: Season 19
Jan 6, 2022
It's not The Mandalorian, but it's still a must watch show. Even if you're not a big Star Wars fan. First two episodes have been great so far.
Jan 6, 2022
Cobra Kai10
Jan 6, 2022
I couldn't help but binge season 4. This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I know it can be a little cringe sometimes, but I couldn't care less about it. So glad they are keeping this going for at least another season.
Dec 28, 2021
MacGruber (2021): Season 15
Dec 28, 2021
It's Will Forte being Will Forte. He can play only one way. I liked it for a bit in The Last Man on Earth, but it's growing stale now.
Dec 28, 2021
Alex Rider: Season 19
Dec 28, 2021
I really liked this, because it reminds me a lot of all the books I used to read as a kid. And it definitely has some charm. Check it out if you like teen James Bond.
Nov 14, 2021
Yellowjackets: Season 19
Nov 14, 2021
I love these LOST-kinda shows when they're done right (not looking at you La Brea). This was right up my alley and I can't wait for episode 2.
Oct 29, 2021
Star Trek: Prodigy: Season 18
Oct 29, 2021
This was surprisingly entertaining. I'm giving it an 8, because it doesn't really feel like Star Trek right now. But that may change. As first episodes go I liked it better than Discovery.
Oct 27, 2021
4400: Season 11
Oct 27, 2021
7 minutes in and I just can't anymore. If this is how shows are gonna be from now on I'm moving to another planet. Not just the premise, but the acting is just so horrible. Even for CW standards. As a fan of the original I really wanted to like this, but they're not making it easy. I expect critics to love this, because ... you know. But fans will probably hate it.
May 10, 2021
Jupiter's Legacy: Season 19
May 10, 2021
Binged it in two days. It certainly had lots of cliffhangers which kept me going and I really wanted to find out more about the origin story. It reminded me of The Boys and Watchmen. So if you liked those, give it a shot.
Apr 23, 2021
Shadow and Bone: Season 17
Apr 23, 2021
At first I was so excited, because almost everything looked exactly like I imagined it when reading the books. But after a while it got confusing, because of all the different books happening at the same time. It even gets boring from time to time. And the pace is too fast for me. This should have been at least 12 hour long episodes. I'm writing this after having watched three episodes, so I hope it gets better. The acting, scenery, production values, etc. are all really excellent though. This is by no means a horrible show. And I will definitely watch every minute of it.
Apr 15, 2021
The Nevers: Season 19
Apr 15, 2021
I liked it a lot. It had a high quality feel to it and I just dig Victorian age anything. If I had to compare it to something recent it reminded me of The Irregulars. Even though this is actually entertaining and interesting. I know it's by Wedon and he can do no good these days, but give it a shot. You might like it.
Apr 12, 2021
Invincible (2021): Season 110
Apr 12, 2021
They couldn't have done this better. As a reader of the original comic I was skeptical, but so far it has been really really good. Artwork is spot on. Voice acting is great. Even the storylines are original and differ enough from the comic to keep me interested. It is one of my favorite ever comics come to life and I'm really happy with the results.
Apr 11, 2021
Kung Fu (2021): Season 16
Apr 11, 2021
At least the fights were really well choreographed, grasshopper. And I will probably watch it again. The first episode had enough to keep me interested, but it was nothing like the original. This is more like a low level CW superhero show. The acting was quite bad at times, but I do like some of the characters. Give it a chance if you're into martial arts movies.
Mar 30, 2021
The Irregulars: Season 12
Mar 30, 2021
Maybe it'll get better after a few episodes, but I'm not sure if I wanna invest in this for now. It was just bland. And I loved the premise for it. Unfortunately the execution is lacking. And at this point the diversity is just distracting. We get it, Netflix. Now can you go back to using it when it makes sense?
Mar 18, 2021
Debris: Season 16
Mar 18, 2021
I can certainly see those 'Fringe' influences and I like some of it. But it'll have to get better to keep me entertained. The MI6 lady is already annoying me on accent alone. If there's a bigger story arc it might keep me hooked, but for now it's mostly separate episodes. *edit. There is a bigger story arc, but apparently I totally forgot about it.
Mar 3, 2021
Young Rock: Season 19
Mar 3, 2021
As a wrestling fan, this just ticks all the boxes for me. Nostalgia, humor, wrestling, The Rock! But the star so far is teenage Rock. It reminds me of the better episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Mar 3, 2021
Superman & Lois: Season 19
Mar 3, 2021
At first I saw the guy and I thought ... that's no Superman, but then it all started to click and by the end of the episode I was hooked. This was way better than expected.
Dec 17, 2020
The Wilds: Season 19
Dec 17, 2020
'It's like LOST, but with girls' is really selling this short. It's more like Survivor, but without Tribal Council. ;-) No, this is just an awesome show with great acting. The story is a bit on the nose for me, but still entertaining. I really liked Shelby (Mia Healy) in this and found out this is her acting debut!
