The Firm (2012)

It's all quite sturdily built and well-acted, with characters one cares about.

The cast is appealing and the story line is not only compelling but also deals with fascinating moral complexities.

Somewhere in this big pile of plot is a potentially enjoyable series, if the producers can figure out how to balance the week-to-week procedural elements of McDeere's court cases with the overarching mystery of his new associates' sinister secrets.

These cases don't come together so much as they suggest a formula.

NBC's version of The Firm is shaky at best.

At least Lewis appeared to be having fun, which can't be said of anyone else in this rather grim production.

Mitch just might be the stupidest attorney ever depicted on TV.
