It offers an exciting setup for many larger stories to come, while also providing plenty of intrigue on its own thanks to the way it handles its story. This post-apocalyptic story just might be Netflix's best in a long time.

The creepiness of the unknown enemy in The Eternaut is what drives this show, even as Salvo and other survivors get together to try to fight whoever it is they’re fighting, and we’re here for it.

One of the best Argentine series ever made, the CGI is extraordinary, some of the best I've ever seen, especially considering they made it with a budget of 15 million, respecting the original work and including many Argentine references. Honestly, it's my favorite series until I see Breaking Bad.

A brilliant Darín brings Juan Salvo to life in an updated version of what is perhaps the most transcendent comic in South **** series seeks to be "faithful" to the original ideas of Oesterheld, who wrote this comic in the midst of a dictatorship that took him and his entire family. The comic's allegories of foreign interference and how they manipulate their own people... are brilliant.Additionally, in a beautiful move, Stagnaro humanizes our hero, injects him with internal doubts and controversies... and adds a plus by adding the weight of being a Falklands War veteran... Chapeaux.There are also several tributes to Solano Lopez, with shots that look like digital copies of those comics. At times, what we see in that snowy, apocalyptic Buenos Aires is sublime."No one is saved alone" would be the series' main line, and the ongoing discussion surrounding this statement hovers throughout this first season.

The acting is decent, but the CGI aliens area bit of a joke! The story would be improved by omitting the aliens altogether imho. I liked that it's set in Argentina, as in the UK you don't see much from there. Omit the crappy song at the end too...awful, so Netflix! An ok watch.

I cannot understand the positive reviews. Perhaps I didn't watch enough. The first two episodes were some of the dumbest sci fi I have ever seen. The characters were dummies fighting over plastic bags. We are supposed to think this guy is some kind of genius for coming up with a basic hazmat suit. They all deserve to die for being sofa king stupid.
