The Big Bang Theory

Bialik manages to steal scenes from Parsons as if she's been with the crew since, well, the big bang.

Half the fun in this outlandishly funny sitcom is that Penny is so spacey that she doesn't appear to recognize what hard-core nerds Leonard and Sheldon really are--even the presence in their bathroom of Luke Skywalker No-More-Tears Shampoo doesn't tip her off.

This may not be the sitcom breakthrough for which we've all been hoping, but Lorre has produced a first episode that leaves you eager to try the second.

"Chuck" has interests similar to those of the heroes of Big Bang, including a lack of interest in chasing women, but his comedy is more inventive--the better bet in a new era in which the nerd no longer loses, but the best nerd show wins.

That said, there are some qualms surrounding how long the producers can mine the Leonard-Penny aspect of the show, a shallow vein if there ever was one. More promising is the interaction among the key duo and their Mensa-worthy friends.

The show might even have been engaging, if the one-liners came less frequently and the characters had a little more dimension. As it is, Sheldon and Leonard are merely laughable, if sweet, and they are even less fleshed out than the characters on "Two and a Half Men."

Even if the jokes on this show weren’t tired and mean-spirited, it would be hard to care about any comedy that hates its own lead characters so much.

Funny at stages. The characters, the side characters but also the main ones, are very shallow. The acting is average for my opinion, except from Jim parsons (even I found Sheldon pretty annoying). Sometimes there is a good punchline, but most of the jokes are predictable and have way too much loudly laugh-tracks after them. However, all the geek's references are nice.

Bastante mala, chistes inapropiados, desagradables, escenas y lenguaje sexualmente desagradable que da pena ajena y debería ser eliminado de todos sitios, ojalá estos programas los prohibieran en todos lados por tener tantas cosas inapropiadas.

A largely artistically inept show, that gets more soulless and tedious as it goes on. The direction is non-existent, pointing the camera without a thought, editing the extreme amount of dialogue and lazy exposition with an unimaginative cut for each new line, and acting competent enough but stale throughout. A comedy about smart people, for stupid audiences. Moreover, the most infuriating aspect of the writing and concept of this show is its incredible lack of understanding for the realism of characters like these and the culture it tries to popularise. Instead, it is very harmful to 'nerd culture'.

This show is a total waste of time and it offends my intelligence. It's not only the less funny thing I've ever watched, fake laughters included, it's also very cringey because of how badly and stereotipically it depicts nerds and scifi fans.
