the show started great with a promising and exciting story. Still, as episodes progressed its getting more boring, most of the show is Delanny going from place to place meeting people with odd characters, not to mention his damn sister which made me yawn every time she was on the screen, also East Indian Company keeps underestimating Delany in order to show how genius Delany is! some of the writing is unrealistic and you will be annoyed by it if you could watch till the end. overall its not the worst show but it definitely could have been better if they expand more on the characters and the story. i do feel this show i overrated probably because people like Tom Hardy but i will give it 5/10 its a very average show that could have been better if they shortened it to 5 episodes perhaps.

Great production, the gritty and dark atmosphere is top-tier. Interesting characters and good acting. The game of power is good, but a bit overextended in my opinion. Only real let down for me are some of the action scenes that look kind of bad, like too fake.

The dark and rugged theme of the show keeps you enticed. This show is a constant thriller that is building towards one particular event which blossoms at the end of the season. The character development of the protagonist must also be applauded, even though the protagonist is seemingly barbaric and does things which are inhuman, the storyline still gets you cheering for him. The show takes place in early 19th London when USA had recently gained independence from the British empire. The protagonist of the show James Delaney returns from Africa, events leading to his return have toughened our protagonist. His above average strategy makes him difficult of his opponents, the East India Company plans to exploit him but with the help of the Americans and some other townies James Delaney hopes to achieve an agenda of his own. History folks may object to the portrayal of King George (The Third) since cinema has traditionally depicted him as a 'mad king' but credible and unbiased analysis of the history would change ones opinion.

I was glued to my seat from one scene to the next, eager to see what new kind of off the rocker insanity the protagonist was going to spring on the next person who dared speak to him. All the craziness, originality, and charm you think of when you think of Tom Hardy the person packed into every moment of this supernatural, utterly unique drama set during the War of 1812 on the Vancouver Sound.
