The best TV show of the post-modern era. Absolutely goated. You had to be there.

Succession is not one of the best TV shows ever made. I went into it hoping it would live up to the hype, what I got instead was four seasons of SNL-style writing, over-the-top mockumentary tropes reminiscent of The Office, and maybe one or two episodes per season with genuinely great acting. None of the characters are likable. The writing feels over-polished and unnatural, like each character has a script in hand rather than saying what they truly think and feel. The music and cinematography are forgettable, and the rewatchability is low. I have zero motivation to revisit any scene or episode. As a longtime HBO fan, I was also expecting more creative freedom. This feels like something that could air on network television. Compare it to other HBO dramas and it comes across as an over-the-top, sanitized version of what the network is capable of probably because it launched around the time the Me Too movement started, prioritizing playing it safe over taking real artistic risks. Bottom line: Only watch this show if you're into that sort of thing and want something above average. Don't expect to be blown away.

One of the best TV series you can watch! Best music choice, each unique for every scene. Great example of where greed for power will make you blind of what you should be.

Very good but does get very repetitive and the final season is really drawn out. S1 starts boring but gets great, S2 is excellent, S3 is a bit more of the same starts to get repetitive, S4 is a mixed bag, sometimes great, sometimes very boring, stupid and thinks a lot of itself. Overall definitely worth watching and one of the better TV shows over the last few years.

Almost finished with the first season. The show is ok.. Kind of like Always Sunny for sick ****s who want to swap that cast for sociopath wealth addicts. One major sin the series commits that takes my enjoyment WAY down is the score & soundtrack. Get ready to be extremely tired of the main theme. It is playing over 75% of the show. They play it over and over and over with little variation... During every moment despite the context. Make it MEAN something. It quickly became filler.

Das diese serie better call Saul einen Emmy nahm ist respektlos da BCS die einzigste Serie ist welche ich von der Bewertung gleich setzen würde mit breaking Bad

Infuriating psychopathic people constantly changing their mind to blow deals and backstab each other. I don't think a single deal got made this entire show. The plot is meaningless. Avoid.

Some shows really are overrated. To me, this is one of them. I feel like a lot of praise of this show is driven by its socio economic 1% demographic. The show is so in love with the wealthy that i has product placement for banks. Half the time, I could have been watching the old “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”. Mansions look nice but they have no life. We poor people really live. The show starts out like “The Office” with every character playing Micheal Scott. All of them are as incompetent as they are entitled. We have decades of data that shows us that nepotism does not work, and yet all of the successors think it will be different for them. There is an appealing dark comedy throughout this show. It just needed more of that and less of the rich people being terrible rich people. Later, the show leans into the Fox News stand in and becomes tragic and appalling. None of the characters are ever at any time appealing. At least Micheal Scott had his sympathetic moments. Maybe I was “hate watching” this show. I really wanted to see them all fail. I would have loved to see them end up poor but that’s just a poor man’s **** story lines for the characters go round and round on the same theme of using wealth to mask incompetence. (Shiv may be the smartest character but also the most deluded as to her worth to her father’s company). The show has a corporate storyline that cuts a few corners on legality, regulatory review, and shareholder voice. We see a lot of mergers and acquisitions but very little actual increase in value. Although this could be part of the point of the show, I doubt the corporate shenanigans were anything more than a plot device. All-in-all, I can see why this show may have Emmy nominations for some of the actors. I just never saw this show as more than background while I was doing something else.

The first season really is quite boring and honestly a bit of a letdown. However, once the plot gets going around the 10th episode, it really is a wild ride that has to be seen through to the end. Full of plot twists, betrayals and much more, this turned out to be one of my favorite shows this year.

A show about a bunch of obnoxious evil billionaires and I **** love them. A show with incredible acting performances throughout the entire cast, a more subtle humor that hits almost everytime, incredible character dynamics and a great story showing generational family trauma.

Good acting, writing, production values, etc. But ultimately it left me empty and I wouldn't recommend it to others since the characters arent likeable. Maybe that was the point.

I am so sad this show is almost over! Every season has gotten better, and this final season has been the best yet. It's one of the best shows ever on tv!

I am so bummed this show is almost over, but also cannot wait for the last few episodes! As soon as it's over, I'm going to go back and watch the show all over again from the start. That's how good it is!!

It's one of the best show ever, closing on Breaking Bad and The Wire. Definitely NOT 'another show about billionaires'. Sure, it shows to some extent how rich are detached from reality, but above all this series is about dysfunctional family, lack of love and desperate craving for it. It's universal, just packed up in billionaire attire, luxury settings, cars etc. The writing and characters are brilliant. Hard to watch. I don't know if there is a single character who is not 'the worst human', you can pity them in one scene and hate in the next one. Writers and actors did here something extraordinary. Even the huge plot twist almost few episodes into the season, seems spot on. Well played show runners! Be bold and fresh, that's the recipe for the great show.

It's truly amazing to me that a show with such on screen talent can be both incredibly unfunny, mean spirited and boring. Dirty Sexy Money did it much better for the theme. In terms of remaking King Lear, Ran did it best. Avoid this feel bad show if you have self respect.

Is good show, reminds me of my own work and the company I work for... Some plot twists are a little far fetched but still believable.

By far the best show I've ever seen. It's like a 30 hour movie (through season 3) that never lapses in quality. I'm blown away at every moment. Best dialogue, best plotting, best acting, and best looking show in TV history.

It's a decent show but... it's like some studio execs said.."let's mix Billions with Yellowstone". The characters are not like able at all. There's some very funny diologue and Brian Cox is always awsome. It's a watchable show at maybe 1-2 per episodes per sitting, any longer interest is lost as it's like watching "The Office" after a while.

A script that surprises all the time. It's great to see Succession. Each character has its good side and its bad side. Logan, played by Brian Cox, is the clear example of toxic parenting, but at the same time, there is love, but love poorly expressed. Kendall, played by Jeremy Strong, is a character who suffers a lot and when we see... he suffers more. This is beautifully, beautifully, beautifully done by up-and-coming actor Jeremy Strong, who won an Emmy Award for the role, in the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series category. Sarah Snook as Shiv Roy is an example **** actress. The character has a very good personality, because at times you love her and at other times you hate her. Kieran Culkin as Roman. Wow!!!! What a performance! A Hateful Character Who Is Impossible To Hate. All are excellent. Kudos to this work of art, one of the best series of all time, perhaps the best or second best of the 21st century.

I don’t get why this series gets such high appraise. Every character in this series is as competent as Joe Biden as President. It’s a joke.

Season 1 is a 9. Origional and a good watch. Great acting, new ideas and exciting.
Aeason 2 is an 8. Re-uses ideas from season 1. Sill great acting, but becoming predicatble.
Season 3 is less than a 7. Steals ideas form season 1 and 2. Acting is predictable and characters don't seem to evolve or learn.
Kill it while there is still a good taste in the mouth.

I love this show. The characters are complex, each despicable in his or her own way. The dialog is fast paced and not always easy to follow (I've had to watch some episodes twice) but it is absolutely amazing.

Easily the best show on TV right now and it also has the potential to be one of the all-time greats. Unmatched wit and ferocity from both the writers and cast. Brian Cox and Matthew Macfadyen are the standouts

This show is one of the best family dramas ever. Talk about dysfunctional. So many great characters. I loved season one and two, and I'm looking forward to season three. One of the top three shows for 2019 in my opinion. In this family I never know who is going to screw over who next. There's always some game afoot, and it makes for solid entertainment episode after episode. It's like a great game of chess, and the patriarch of the family is always at least five moves ahead of his "poor" children who never see it coming. Brilliant.

A masterful series that skewers the world of media moguls, while simultaneously being a family drama with real stakes, and emotional impact. Some fellow viewers are turned on by watching a show that glamorises the excesses of the 0.0001% - If this is holding you back, understand that the show is also a crime saga. The main characters are not much better than the Corleone family in The Godfather. Both are worth a watch.

Another show about the filthy rich, asking us to care. Do yourself a favor and watch Billions instead. The cast is so much better! Don't get me wrong, Brian Cox is exceptional, but the others are offensively boring!

I like this show a lot. It's fun. But the writers consistently put words in the mouths of smart people that aren't smart. There is no way a family would act the way these people do at dinner parties. It's over the top and it doesn't land. Great performances that are repeatedly let down by mediocre writing.

What a great show. I don’t know why it didn’t get amazing season 1 reviews and was more mediocre. This show has great character relationships, drama, comedy and a cast full of real characters. By the way Cousin greg the egg is MVP
