Rating the entirety of a show with 30 seasons and over 300 episodes with a single number from 1 to 10 is ridiculous - I think more nuance than that is necessary. As such, I will qualify my 9/10 rating by adding that South Park has peaks and valleys - its lows are usually only mediocre at worst, and its highs are untouchable in the world of television. And when considering that after 30 seasons, this show remains occasionally fresh and funny (and often possessing a smart, satirical bite unlike any other show on network television), I cannot help but sing its praises. If you've never seen an episode, I recommend at least watching some of the noteworthy ones no matter your taste in television. South Park is an amazing TV show.

This show is so goated, like really.
Yes, it may not be a children show, but it still apeals to teens also, my favorite is Cartman and Stan, just because I just like them...

What happened to this show? It completely lost its edge and now they’re reusing old tired jokes and pushing the woke agenda.

Probably the funniest thing on TV right now. Lost interest for a few years, but the trump jokes pulled me back in again. When you laugh at that stuff it makes the world seem less depressing.

wow shows doubling down on stupid woke trash. not even fun anymore like it hasent been for almost 10 yrs. hoped this new season would be better. but its just a bunch of basement dweller writers that want kids **** cut off and hamas leaders. really disgusting the turn the show took. cant we get back to mecha Barbra streisand? well ur ratings have dropped very low. this show is just a political thing for u guys now. such a let down. but keep catering to ur wokeness. see how that works out.

I have loved South Park for 26 years. I’m so disappointed in the new season. I can no longer watch the stupid **** about my president Trump. Last season was just funny stuff about him, but this is just stupid and so far from true. You just sold out to the left lies and craziness. Good luck with keeping your true fans

One of the weekest opening episodes to a South Park season in a long time, Especially after last year's cupid yea opener. And no, it's not because they take jabs at Trump (I'm not American, I have no stake or interest in your politics) but because it wasn't funny. That's the problem when a TV show becomes personal, the target audience shrinks to just those who have a beef. The rest of us are wondering why the obsession and where the humor is. Perhaps some of the jabs against Trump were related to some news I'm unaware off but the obsession with his tiny member was just weird. The Satan throwback did make me chuckle though.

Not much to be said that hasnt many times over. Simply one of the most influential, satiric, purely funny things ever made. And for most of the run totally uncompromising vision.

I don't understand how people hate this show because of the crude comedy. I love it because nothing feels too far, the characters (Despite a lot of them hating each other) they feel like they work together really well and just because a lot of the jokes don't land well with misanthrope's doesn't mean it's bad. The show has great humor and the topics are funny if you don't care about the "disrespectful language and jokes" you will have a great laugh.

I don't know how anyone could dislike this show unless you're too much of a fragile little snowflake to enjoy the jokes lmao. Yes they make fun of genders, sexualities, races, cartoons, politics, celebrities, etc. But it's all in fun and games. I'm a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and I have never been offended by what they say because it's joke f**kin jokes people!! I grew up watching this. It's not MEANT for kids, so anyone who's on here just to b**tch about their kid watching it.. they are actually complaining about how much of a bad parent they are cause I damn well would be watching what my kids watch!!! Making sure they AREN'T watching anything that's not age appropriate!!! There are parental locks on cable/Tvs for a reason!!!!!! Use it, DON'T blame the tv series for you own doing.

It would have been appropriate for Metacritic to give 87 to Simpsons trash and 64 to the best black comedy animated series of all time.

Serie animata clamorosa, che affronta tematiche contemporanee con un sarcasmo unico.

I like the humor of the show and I like the style of the show. I love seasons 10 to 14 when South Park was at its peak of comedy. The newer seasons can sometimes be funny but some parts are not, like the end of obesity special that makes women jokes. I'm a guy. So I don't get it.

I finished watching all the seasons! Simple animation, blunt sense of humor and lots of important topics (mostly taken up before they became important to the public op). A very good series, encouraging individual reflection. And still funny! PS I wonder how it is possible that in a world where "South Park" is popular for years, there are still people who are offended by everything?

This is hands down one of the best adult comedy cartoons to ever exist. Just the fact this show has been around for over 25 years but still remains to be funny, creative, and truthfully call out society in a poignant way is a testament to the show's creators. Definitely in my top three favorite adult comedy cartoons of all time.

This is a show that can be extremely funny and entertaining when everything goes right, but a lot of the time that isn't the case. The jokes involving the boys going around town and interacting with one another are usually pretty good, but often times it is ruined by some social or political statement that just waters down the episodes and makes it not as funny, especially when you watch the episodes years later and the jokes are no longer relevant. I am not looking for a political statement from a crude comedy show with simply drawn cartoon characters, but I am looking for jokes and light-hearted fun, which both often are both included in the episodes, making this a pretty good but not extremely amazing show.

I used to like South Park, but the quality of the writing has gone down considerably in recent seasons. I doubt I'll watch anymore.

It's a great show - even the worst episodes are better than your average cartoon. South Park has been going for 25 years for a reason. The later seasons are a bit drawn out and hyper-specific (won't age well) but South Park does what The Simpsons can't anymore: make me lol.

Initially was not sure as to whether 'South Park' would be my cup of tea at all, despite being a huge fan of animation for all my life (and still very much am). But there have been many instances of films and shows that gave me conflicted feelings before watching, but turned out far better than expected and actually being very good or more. Such is the case with 'South Park'. As of now, it is one of the highest rated shows on IMDb and was a huge ratings success when first aired, and no wonder. At its best, it's absolutely brilliant and one of the best and funniest shows there is to me. Thought that would never be said about a show known for dividing people with its controversial and "offensive" content, was not sure whether I would like it let alone love it and it ended up a favourite. Is it as good as it was? No, it's not as witty, daring or inventive now, but is still very funny and intelligent. That is only being said though because the earlier seasons are so good. To me, 'South Park' is much better than other popular shows like 'The Simpsons' (originally fantastic, now has declined rapidly) and 'Family Guy' and Seth Macfarlane's other shows, which never did anything for me. Can actually see though why some dislike it. A lot of the content is very controversial and not for the easily offended. The show is crude, extremely rude (possibly the rudest animated show ever), naughty, at times juvenile and less than subtle in its treatment of taboo subjects. At the same time, 'South Park' is hilarious, smart, witty and daring but also clever, sharp, irreverent and intelligent. The satirical humour is subversive and there are not many animated shows this daring, completely contradicting the tired and incredibly annoying cliché spouted constantly that animation is only for children (often by parents defending a panned family film). Often one is shocked at how much 'South Park' gets away with, everything. Every subject and every everyday issues is covered and satirised it seems, nothing escapes the writers. While subtlety completely goes out the window, so much of what 'South Park' says has a huge amount of truth and relevance (both when it first aired and still very much so now). Like good satire should it does it in a daring and perhaps divisive fashion, not holding back and taking no prisoners. This should sound like a recipe for disaster, but actually to me it was why the show is so loved and admired. There's more to 'South Park' than just the humour. The stories are very inventive, smartly constructed, cohesive, honest and relevant. The characters are some of the most memorable and iconic in recent animation, especially Cartman. Trey Parker and Matt Stone's voice work is a practical tour-De-force for both, both bringing so much individuality and personality to these characters and their writing. Not everybody seems to like the animation, personally liked the quirkiness of it myself and there are not many shows with visuals like 'South Park's'. The music is energetic and catchy. Overall, brilliant show that surprisingly became right up my street, even with the controversial content. 9/10 Bethany Cox

This show is the absolute peak in human comedy and i **** you not. South Park throws 4th graders into the most vile and complicated adult social situations and concepts and we get to see how 4th graders would deal with it as 4th graders... and the result is truly brilliant. There's so much subtle comedy and subtle context into every scene and it is just perfectly written.

While Season 23 was a complete trainwreck and season 24 had two Specials and two Paramount+ exclusives, I'd like to say that the crude humor is back on Season 25! Hats off to Trey Parker and Matt Stone for making it to 25 seasons.

A classic show with some gems episodes. Most recent seasons are subpar but still manage to give some good moments.
Not fan of the "whole-season-plot" take of the last years, the episodic structure was better.

The only problem with the show is that even if it isn't cancelled, it will eventually have to end.

There are not many old shows that you can enjoy right now. Simpsons, Family Guy and even Game of Throwns but South Park is still a fresh tv show. Yes i know it's not good as the older seasons like season 5 but you watch it now and have good time

Who doesn’t love South Park? Other than the easily offended of course. Clever, witty, unbiased, a staple of true satire. While the recent seasons aren’t as good as the shows prime years, it is still by and far the most humorous and intriguing adult cartoon on air.

South Park is a great show. It's hilarious and clever. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are two fantastic writers. The characters are really funny, and almost every episode has an undertone of satire. South Park isn't for everyone but I think once in a while it can make everyone laugh. It started out really strong, had a few rough seasons, got good again, had rough seasons and now it's good.

The show became quite boring after season 18, after changing from a single episode storyline to a whole season....
Not to mention Tegridy, which really killed the show for me...
Loved SP up until that point...

South Park is the best cartoon ever made, hands down. It's got some of the most unique animation in a cartoon out there, the most recognizable style and characters, the comedy is on-point, no one is spared and everyone can get a good laugh, the story is also on-point, everything is good. There are probably only about 5 episodes I wouldn't rewatch, and for over 20 seasons, that's pretty good.

Although South Park seems to have forgotten about the way they've set up storytelling over the years, the laughter, the joy, the important themes they've talked about will never be forgotten. This shows legacy is unbelievable, as it is very special lokking at the way they make South Park in just 6 days.

This animated sitcom can pull off the best political and social satire than any other show on the planet in the most hilarious way possible. South Park can make fun of anything and every taboo without hesitation and make you bust a gut laughing. Definitely, one of my favorites.

South Park is without a doubt the best tv show I have ever seen which isn’t saying much because I’m more **** and movie guy so instead of giving an overall opinion of the show I’m going to split it into sections by their seasons which will go 1-4 5-10 11-15 16-18 -19-22 as the time I’m writing this so let’s start on season 1-4. The first 3 seasons have aged pretty badly from outdated jokes and animation and pretty forgettable if I do say so myself but the forth season on the other hand is really good it was made after the movie came out so it’s got way better animation and writing and some of my favorite episodes are in this season but things really get started in the next couple of seasons. The next seasons are widely agreed to be the golden age of South Park which I strongly disagree with people will use the point of the first episode of the 5th season Scott Terminin Must Die which is the most overrated episode in the series I know it was the first horrible thing Eric Cartman has ever done but in later seasons he has done so much worse after that episode it’s standard stuff that’s all I have to say for this section there were a lot of great episodes but the show was a roller coaster of quality at this point. The next section season 11-15 is what I consider the first really good seasons of the show such as the imagination land trilogy and this section in my opinion is when South Park was the most unpredictable which is why I love it so much were not at the golden age yet but were near. Now seasons 16-18 is the golden age of South Park I love so many of the episodes in these seasons like the hobbit or the cissy just to name 2 these are episodes that are the balance of dark comedy and combining it with events around the world at that time which later seasons fail to balance. Now it’s time to talk the death of South Park which is season 19 so many problems I have with this season such as the continued story South Park is not that kind of show and it’s not even funny anymore and it’s not even the focus characters going on a adventure to solve something it’s just them **** about stuff now season 20 was better than 19 but was still really bad for one they still have the continued storyline which I hate and now it doesn’t even focus on the boys anymore it just sort of feels like “ This week in the news” and it doesn’t work now this season does have a better story but it’s not a South Park story. So after two messes of seasons season 21 drops the continued storyline and goes back to formula which I loved but now instead of being bad it’s just mediocre which in my opinion is worse than bad the first two episodes are pretty good but then it’s just a list of bad to mediocre episodes. Season 22 is a worse season 21 for the longest time I forgot it existed and I forget every episode in it so I can’t give a opinion just forgettable. Now the show is rumored to end after its 23rd season which I’m ok with I rather just end it now then keep going and let it get worse I want the final season to be good but I know it won’t be. So final thoughts and recommendations if your looking for a good laugh I recommend season 11-18 you can watch earlier seasons if you want but avoid the later seasons if possible. Even though the later seasons are bad I’m going to give the show a solid 9/10

South Park is a strange show that is usually clever, but its jokes never seem strong enough to last for an entire episode.
