Smoke suffers from its overly ambiguous storytelling. Yet despite all the frustrations that presents, the performances by Egerton, Jurnee Smollett, and the rest of the ensemble make this an endlessly watchable and compelling series.

It’s an enjoyable and ambitious supplement to one of today’s best streaming comedies – but at only four episodes, Side Quest feels too slight, and unable to reach the high bar set by previous Mythic Quest one-offs.

Charlotte Nicdao is given a range of material that ensures she’s the standout of a terrific ensemble. Season 4 isn’t without its downsides: some characters don’t get as much meaty material, and other storylines fizzle too soon. But a fun detour into a murder-mystery outing finds Mythic Quest at its best, highlighting how the writers keep leveling up.

Some plot twists are easy to foresee, but there are enough choices with surprising outcomes to keep Silo near the head of the Apple TV+ originals pack.

Vaughn's charming turn as detective-turned-health inspector Andrew Yancy means that Bad Monkey is entertaining even when its story slouches toward its conclusion. The ensemble also shines throughout, featuring standout performances from Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

The plot moves at a breakneck speed, so it can be hard to catch your breath, but creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay have delivered one of the best shows of 2024 so far.

The Catalonian landscapes offer a stunning, always riveting backdrop – a boon for a series that occasionally suffers from being too predictable. However, the conclusion left me wanting more from this TV equivalent of a beach read.

Echoes is at its best when it focuses on the ramifications of the revolutionary science that has entangled the lead characters played by Krysten Ritter, Amanda Fix, and Keeley Hawes. Some information is withheld for too long, but once the series hits its fourth episode, it gains momentum, and the second half of the season is much stronger.
