The show dropped in quality in Season 2 but Season 3 is like an entirely different, much better show! The characters are becoming fleshed out. We start to feel like we really know who Jon is. What makes Mercy the way she is? What the hell is up with Anne? The tension, the drama, the intensity is all reaching a boiling point and the finale will likely be awesome! Very happy with the way this season has turned out.

Season 1 was decent, strong start, some interesting concepts but it was tough to root for Mary. She was pretty much the villain, in season 3, however, it seems like the main characters will actually have to work together against a common enemy. With twists and turns around every corner, the plot moves at breakneck speed and it's never a dull moment in Salem. The special effects and some of the acting could seriously be improved but the writing has definitely been turned up. It looks like the producers are actually reading reviews and using the feedback to improve the show. Season 2 was agonizingly boring at parts but each episode has been better than the last for all of season 3 so far. I'm really impressed.

If i loved the first 2 seasons, i have to say the 3rd and last installment is, simply put "HORRIBLE". Extremely weak writing and plot development. They literally had no idea what to do with the dark, witchy world they had created. Up to three characters are brought back from death but not even our beloved Mary Sibley is capable to amend the disastrous season 3. What a shame.
