Alan Ritchson has really hit his stride as Reacher, who gets more dynamic as a character with each iteration. His evolution across these first three seasons has served as a steady foundation for Reacher’s excellent action, and the show’s continued growth has been a blast to witness.

Each of the eight episodes is smart enough to let Reacher off the leash at least once to punish bullies, save the day, or otherwise kick a little ass so as to restore balance to not just the show but the universe as a whole.

I almost never believe in giving things a ten out of ten. However, I was at no point bored when watching S3 of Reacher and can think of no significant flaws. It deserves it!

Reacher season 3 delivers another classic round of sharp twists, witty humor, palpable suspense, and thrilling action while also upping the ante with bigger villains and darker themes.

Reacher has his tongue firmly lodged in his cheek and delivers rollicking entertainment with a knowing wink. Perhaps not so different to Lovejoy after all.

This trio of episodes mostly sets the stage for what should be another entertaining season.

Fight sequences are fewer this time around, which makes the narrative progression feel sluggish at times, compared to previous rampages. Compensating for all that is the regular reminder that a battle royale is brewing between the title character, played by a 6’3” actor, and a heavy portrayed by a bodybuilder known as the Dutch Giant, a 7-foot, 2-inch tower.

Some formula tweaks and more ambitious direction going forward would not go amiss, but Reacher’s brand of stoic heroism is still sufficiently entertaining.

This is still an excellent, must-watch show. Alan Ritchson plays Reacher so well, and it’s a joy to watch on television. I’d still give it a 9 — it does not disappoint. That says a lot, considering the two previous seasons were even better. I’m already looking forward to Season 4!

This season was alright. It has less character so it's easy to get into. More emotional and a little bit of espionage. Reacher is more of a yes-man in this season and less smart than in the first season. See a bit more of his backstory and Neagly development. Overall it alright.

It feels as if the show has lost lots of it's original charm. Reacher's actions and decisions do not fit the character as well as they did back in S1. It feels... off. The second season was a bit of a decline, but still enjoyable. This one felt dull and predictable. Yeah, it had it's moments, but way to few. Logically it has it's holes, don't know if consistent with the book it's based on. I did something I didn't do with the first two seasons - skipped some scenes. That says something. At least to me.

The show is disappointing overall, a significant decline from Season 1. The female lead is a stereotypical "girl-boss" character, common in 2020s Hollywood, who constantly undermines those around her to ensure that the audience understands she is the only competent one, while all the male characters are portrayed as weak and inept. A 5'5", 130-pound woman repeatedly threatens large, athletic 6'2" gangsters, claiming she’ll "take them down," while her submissive male partners nod in agreement as if she’s truly a threat. Every male character is written as weak or foolish. Beck lacks strength, his son is the embodiment of a timid "beta" character who gets pushed around easily, and the detective’s two partners are equally unimpressive—one is a lanky, ineffectual man, while the other is an overweight officer nearing retirement. The female lead constantly reminds everyone of their shortcomings. The story is completely unconvincing. For example, an informant named Teresa is held hostage by gangsters, supposedly spared from death because of her "red hair," as she’s meant to be a gift for Russian mobsters. However, when she appears on screen, she’s an average-looking woman—perhaps a 6/10 at best. The idea that Russian mobsters would be desperate to acquire her is absurd, making her entire role feel like a weak and unrealistic plot device. The first episode started off promising, but the show quickly fell apart when the entire plot revolved around a random informant that no one bar Duffy cares about.

Season 1 was quite good, maybe this is due creating a TV Reacher that captured the book's Reacher very well... Perhaps the best TV character from a book I've seen. Perhaps that skewed how much I liked Season 1? I also liked the Roscoe character quite a bit, played well by Willa Fitzgerald. In Season 1 the Neagley character is done about right! Season 2 is pretty good. I didn't find much chemistry between Reacher and Karla but that wasn't really important. Perhaps the novelty had worn off a bit? However I did find the show to be a mild distraction. Season 3 just jumps the shark. What an awful letdown. It was so bad I probably won't be interested in a Season 4. Two main issues... the Duffy character is awful, both the way the character is drawn up but mostly because Sonya Cassidy is terrible.... we're talking cringing every time she's on screen. The Neagley character and the back-story is completely forced and not remotely tied to the main plot. Just a major effort to create a new show from a fairly minor character. Book readers will know that Neagley doesn't even appear in this book, by itself that isn't an issue but when the character is shoe-horned into the story - to the point of distraction, that is an issue. I don't want to go into how wildly different the tv adaptation is from the book this season was derived from... if the tv show is good that isn't a big deal... but this show is so bad you can't help wonder what the heck were they doing... ? Like many streaming tv-series, this season could have been 2-4 episodes shorter and it may have been much more entertaining. However, with the Duffy/Neagley characters taking up so much real estate - the shorter the series the better... Disappointing... ruined a great character and a promising long-running series.
