You don’t know quite what the next twist or turn may be, but you know that it will be funny, profound, moving – or all three – as well as being as compelling and rewarding as you could wish. It’s an absolute triumph – thank Covell and the gods.

With its modern twists and a broad cast of colourful characters — led by an imperious Jeff Goldblum — KAOS is chaotically good fun.

Kaos is a great series. The characters are funny, the plot twists and dilemmas the characters face is unbelievably tragic and comical at the same time! The love triangles and revenge plots are entertaining. I wished there were more storylines for more of the other characters that didn’t make the show like Hercules, Athena, Medusa, etc. I hope Netflix reconsiders season 2 cancellation or if another streaming service picks it for season 2.

A very enjoyable show that brings a fresh perspective to mythology through an outstanding cast.

KAOS winks at you while you watch it, introducing things you think you know before snatching the rug out from under your feet, just as its characters are repeatedly shown how knowing your fate doesn’t necessarily show you the future. It’s an addictive type of storytelling, and KAOS is a pomegranate well worth trying.

The first three episodes have a lot of toddler energy. As marvelous as the parts are — the bold gender-fluid and colorblind casting, the bravura of Goldblum and McTeer — “Kaos” can be almost overwhelming. However, as the threads begin to tighten and form patterns, and the introduction of new characters decelerates, the show gains traction and tension.

Kaos offers some fun flourishes of originality, drama and intrigue through admirable rewrites of ancient Greek myths and legends. And it’s all buttressed by skilled performances from the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Janet McTeer, and David Thewlis as dysfunctional, immortal rulers feuding over prophecies and power. But it's also a bloated series unable to adequately service its expansive cast of characters.

Though KAOS has significant flaws, there's a lot that works very well. Other than Goldblum, the cast is terrific.

The series doesn’t have a consistent enough internal logic to succeed as a grown-up fantasy series—at least one plot beat hinges on the fact that these nigh-omnipotent deities communicate by landline telephone—but it’s also not funny or outsized enough to function as a comic farce.

Fabulous idea of transferring ancient Greek mythology into a modern day setting. The acting is excellent, as is the writing. At face value, this is just a romp and comedy but it's actually much deeper than that and raises questions about the nature of religion and religious beliefs. It's also very useful in highlighting just how the relationship between ancient peoples and their Gods was so very different from most of today's Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradtions. The ancients believed their Gods could be less than 100% good, which strikes us as very odd. No question - this is genius work. Well done guys.

Ça ouvre les yeux sur les soient disant dieux et déesses. Interprétation en télé-série du mythe de l'olympe raconté par prométhé et révisé par les loires. Un animal sera froidement assassiné par la folie de zeus.

Jeff Goldblum heads the cast and the gods as Zeus. His supreme confidence is shaken by a prophecy predicting his downfall. This series is set in a modernish world ruled by the gods, who sometime walk among the humans. The cast includes many other members of Greek mythology, sometimes to amusing effect. There's a romance that leads the narrative to Hades and another whole issue (rendered in black and white). Meanwhile, the family on Olympus has its own problems. Thru it all, Goldblum and Janet McTeer (as his wife, Hera) grab the attention for their commanding performances. There are a few fantastical moments with fun effects and visuals, but the series is uneven: It's sometimes fun and fascinating, while other times too long and flat. (8 one-hour eps)

Could have been good, the idea was pretty exciting. But they had to add the most woke s**t I have ever seen in this show.
I learnt that it was canceled, well I know why.

Starts off as a 7, but every episode gets worse and worse. When the show has such a silly tone, it's difficult for the writing to stand up over any length of time, and that's certainly the case here. By the end of the season, nothing makes any sense and I have no interest in any future seasons. Also, Jeff Goldblum is miscast as Zeus. And the journey through the "underworld" was a massive disappointment for a number of reasons. Just a weird, silly show with nothing interesting or entertaining to say.
