At its best, Friends operates like a first-rate Broadway farce, complete with slamming doors, twisty plots, and intricately strung together jokes. And even when it's not at its best, the crack acting and piquant punchlines give Friends a momentum and charm that win you over even if you're not laughing.

La verdad es que las primeras temporadas de Friends dejaban bastante que desear. Muchos de aquí votan dieces creo que refiriéndose a la serie entera, pero la primera temporada era bastante sosa. La serie se vuelve mejor a partir de la 4 creo. Nunca fue mi serie favorita ni nada pero tiene sus momentos, aunque su humor a veces es algo inocente y las tramas amorosas son aburridas.

I remember thinking when I watched this show as a child how wearisome these useless, narcissistic, maundering idiots were and how artificial everything they were and did seemed. But then I had a lot of growing up to do...

I hated the first three seasons, but the later seasons are very good. The humor is more goofy than smart like in the later seasons. It also feels like they are trying to hard to get young people to watch it. But has the occasional giggle
