Best show of all time. The first season and a half are not as great as the rest of the show, but when it does pick up by the middle of season 2, it becomes an extremely solid, well-written and consistent show until the end.

Great performance by SMG and the shows never got old even after so many seasons!

The only season of this show that I didn't thoroughly enjoy was season 4. Season 1 is weaker as well but the show was just establishing itself. Season 3 is perhaps the best but I am still working on finishing season 7 so we will see. Sometimes the show is corny but it's very easy to look past. Also, I could have lived without the lesbian romance that dragged on for multiple seasons with one of the main characters. It was pretty cringey to me. On rare occasions, the show made left wing political statements; that did bother me. However, at its worst it still pales in comparison to the brazen propaganda we have nowadays.

When I was 11 I was hooked on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, it was fun and smart and I found Sarah Michelle Gellar really sexy. At 17, I don't watch it as much, as I am so busy with schoolwork and music commitments, but on top of my film watching, one of my favourite hobbies, I like to watch Buffy. And I think it is great, true Season 1 starts off a little rocky, but it gets better and better, and by the time we get to Season 5 we have more intelligent dialogue, more gripping story lines and the acting is even better at this point. Out of the later episodes, one that surprised me hugely was "Once More with Feeling". I was sceptical initially at how it would work, but it did, no matter how laughable it seemed at the time. The music was great, and the singing was surprisingly tuneful. Back to talking about Buffy in general, the theme song is funky and totally kicks ass. Then there is the suitably Gothic photography and the above average special effects and make up. Also, Buffy benefits from really good story lines, good dialogue and characters that we like and love. Buffy is a great and resourceful heroine, and the sexy Sarah Michelle Gellar does a great job in the role. Nicolas Brendan is appealing also as Xander, I confess when I was younger I had a slight crush on him, David Boreanaz is a brooding Angel, Seth Green is a likable Oz and James Marsters is a great Spike. On tops, I really like Alyson Hannigan as Willow, it is a shame though that she hasn't done anything particularly good since, and Anthony Head is wonderful as the benevolent Giles. And also Michelle Trachtenberg judging by this, Ice Princess and Harriet the Spy has all the means of being a promising actress in the future. As characters, even the villains are interesting. Overall, I love Buffy The Vampire Slayer. 10/10 Bethany Cox

No sauce. This feeble attempt at making people horny only made plenty of us disgusted and contemptuous.

Oh... I don't like it. I just don't. I guess I wished for more from it, but I guess I just didn't get it.

Almost everyone with a TV binging habit goes through a 'Buffy' phase. This TV show is perhaps the most influential piece of media in history. It set the bar for episodic storytelling and quality of production back in the nineties and that influence is still being felt today. Buffy The Vampire Slayer has something for everyone. I truly believe that every episode resonates personally with at least one person and that each season is written to perfection. (except any episode with Riley in it 'cause he just stinks)

One of the best shows of its time and the reason Joss Whedon started to become popular. The first season set all up and the later ones improved a lot (except season 6). Joss Whedon strengths are creating interesting characters, relationships, great humour and enjoyable / great story arcs. He also is famous for playing with expectation and tropes. Sometimes he makes experimental episodes including a musical episode (hilarious) and an episode with no audio for half of its playtime (Awesome and the explanation is absolutely fitting). My favourite part are the characters. Everyone has a good chemistry and the development / character growth is nearly unmatched. Buffy, Angel, Willow, Tara,Giles, Spike, Anya(anka), Faith and Xander are some of the best cast in TV. Its the reason that the characters are still popular and that rumours about a reboot are circulating. He made overarching story arcs and a mid season final. I also like his story telling style. You know always more than the characters (They often don't know that there is a big bad slowly rising in power or executing his plans). The main villains are superb. Overall Season 5 and 7 are the best and Season 6 the worst. The Seasons 2, 3, and 4 are also very good. The final battle in the final season (=7) is one of the best endings in a TV series. This is a mayor plus. Many TV series failed at the final season (Lost and X-Files are prime examples). If you can get your hands on the whole series you will not be disappointed (even season 6 has redeeming qualities and is more sub par than awful).

As the series progressed it got better and better. The plots became more complicated and developed allowing the primary characters to grow and develop along with the series. As in life there were failures and successes in each story. Villains became flawed heros and heros, sometimes became flawed villains. We watched Buffy grow and there can be no growth without pain. We watch Willow and Zander each walk down their own path to become people of depth and substance. . Spike walked through hell and emerged a hero. Wow! All I can say is what a ride.

This show has literally changed my life. I know that sounds like anything a fan would say. However, I have it is true. The way that Joss Whedon wrote these characters was amazing. Whedon makes sure that you feel what the characters are feeling. This is the best TEEN Drama out there. Whether you call it "old" or or not. This show STILL after 20 years, but has the ability to shock and mesmerise fans with it witty humor, it's great acting, it's phenomenal story and writing, and the sadness that it can bring. This show makes you feel so much emotion that it hits you like a wrecking ball. I know men who have shed tears over this show..Modern teen dramas focus too much than they should on the Teen Drama aspect. Sure, buffy has romance, but but it doesn't play as big a role in the story which is good. Romance isn't as important as the story. The Vampire Diaries and Shadowhunters all have too much corniness which gets tiresome. Buffy has been nominated for Emmys which is the equivalent **** in the music industry. This is the only teen drama that has gone up against SERIOUSLY GOOD for shows such as The Sopranos. Other Teen Dramas are nominated for Teen Choice awards. Buffy changed the world. These other Teen Dramas probably changed teenage girls who didn't know what a good show really is.
