This horrendous pile of trash is animated like it was put through an ai dehancer 87 times. Furthermore the characters are off putting and I didn't watch the show. Nor will I ever watch the show. 0/10 would not watch for the first time.

Big Mouth is just brilliant I loved how it's based off the creators journey but adding that imaginary touch of the Maurice and Connie in the show and promotes and demotes various characters.

It's a great series, it has many moments worth remembering that undoubtedly made us laugh. Also, being a series about puberty, it is much easier to connect with the series, since one went through it or may be going through it and the approach they give it makes it special.

Tough to review. On one hand, the early seasons aren't good. The VA is very lazy. And it's basically animated child porn at times. On the other hand, it's become much more funny and clever over time. Kind of a shame it's ending now just when it was getting good. TL;DR: skip the first 1-5 seasons.

I absolutely am in love with this show. I've seen it in its entirety multiple times. I love how edgy/dark it is! I'm just incredibly bummed that it's ending after the 8th season. But I'd highly recommend this show to anyone looking for an edgy adult animation series

A truly disgusting and degenerative show whose entire premise is just middle schoolers cooming. Under no circumstances should you ever watch this abomination.

This show is garbage, the jokes are horrible, the characters are annoying! Just terrible, a 2 at best! Why does Netflix give this garbage 7 seasons and cancel actual good shows?
No wonder why thier dying!

Kroll show is amazing. Nick Kroll is one of the funniest comedians in America. But this show? FILTH. It manages to make South Park look like the Simpsons. What is the appeal of oversexualizing children? Netflix canceled Inside Job and Midnight yet this Protohuman **** is renewed for multiple seasons?

The jokes aren't funny, the animation is horrendously cheap and the fact this show is STILL going just ruins my hopes for the future, there's a vast ocean of far more enjoyable content out there. Don't waste your time on this crap.

the first seasons are good because you know... SEX, but the newest season is just boring and there is that **** about that you shouldn't say that someone is a boy or a girl, and that **** stupid, this doesn't depend on that what someone wants, if someone is a boy or a girl then it's a boy or a girl and that's something genetic, you're not choosing that (sorry for bad English)

I loved the first three seasons -- they get a 9 for great jokes (some so quick you'll miss them if you're laughing at the previous joke) and fearlessly addressing the awkward and taboo changes that come with puberty. Season 4 introduced a trans character, and this marked the beginning of a noticeable change in BM's storytelling style: it started becoming preachy. I think the introduction of a trans character was good, but the writers chose to use the character's change (boy transitioned to girl/woman) as a device to preach to the audience about how to interact with and speak to trans people. It **** the air out of the rest of the characters. And this approach continued in seasons 5 and 6. Rather than letting the story unfold in an organic way, they chose to give some characters heavy-handed dialogue clearly intended to tell the audience what the writers believe is right and wrong about how you should deal with LGBTQ+ issues/people. What really knocked the show down a peg for me was episode 8 of season 6 where Jessi tells her dad and dad's pregnant girlfriend that they should raise the baby gender neutral and call the baby "they".
[rant]
Gender neutrality in and of itself is perfectly fine, IMO, but I don't need a cartoon to beat me over the head with a hammer labeled "GENDER ****!" There is no inherent problem with gender and pronouns; the problem is with people insisting that biological males *behave* a certain way and biological females *behave* a certain other way. People who believe in those stereotypes will continue believing regardless of what pronouns you insist they use. I really don't need a raunchy comedy about sex to try to convince me to refer to babies as "they". Just create engaging characters (which the show has done) and let their stories -- and *dialogue* -- unfold in a natural way.
[/rant] The show still makes me laugh which is why I still watch, but if the show keeps amping up its preachiness, I don't know how much longer I'll stay for the ride. Preaching just isn't funny.

Wish i couldve seen a series like this on my teens. Being lgtb on the 2000 was a real struggle for me. Showing that teens can make mistakes and to learn from them is the best part of this show. Also Mona and Connie xD

3 points for season 1 before it goes into cringe inducing spiral of wokeness for no real reason. The vomit inducing cringe fest is so over-done and forced it just ruins entire story and characters. By season 5 it is half the main cast, because that makes sense (4% vs 50%).

After the first season, the "left" $hit started to happen. Let me explain... The 1st season had minorities who fit into the story and were interesting as characters. But it got to the point where in season 4 the main antagonists are white males. 3 "stars" for the first season. -7 points for 2+ seasons.

I cannot understand how this can be a "certified fresh", this is probably the worst animated show rn, or at least in the top 5.
The series is completely tone deaf, it doesn't follow any rule, things dont make sense most of the time because of this.
It doesnt know it's target audience (making jokes from the 90s mostly, but is for teenagers right?)
Season 4 is just the worst, i could not use my brain, nothing made sense, they added like 7 secondary anthro characters and they cant even explore 1 of them.
a total waste of time

An excellent series that beautifully shows adolescence. Great ideas on how to show us what's really going on with our body in adolescence. The characters are excellent and I immediately liked them. I probably like Andrew best, but it's hard to say. Every character here is excellent. The animation is very nice. On the one hand, simple, but it has its charm. It's all like Netflix South Park, with the difference that the characters are teenagers here and they're not quite children anymore. Overall, this is a great series and one of my favorite animated series ever.
Season 1 - 8/10
Season 2 - 8/10
Season 3 - 8/10
Season 4 - 8/10
Season 5 - 8/10

This show....
This show..
This show.. Is a croc of **** The show is a comedy but it isn't funny, the jokes are garbage every thing is so loud. Sometimes they try to be serious (like the simpsons or rick and morty) but it falls flat because of how much loud, unlikable and obnoxious the charaters are. If i could describe the show in a short way, it will be: "it's like watching a family member die but because of some reason instead of crying the family starts to scream and act like jerks because of no reason"

Honestly don’t understand how this so popular? The premise of the show is great but the execution is poor. The humour is terrible and too on the nose.

Heartfelt and genuinely the best show about puberty ever made. Graphic but not graphic for the sake of being graphic. It's a wonderfully smart, funny show. Hope there are many more seasons.

Man i love this show! Definitely for adults and well worth your time. The humor is spot on and at times vulgar but i don't think the show is trying to take itself seriously so why should we!

So many shows are raunchy just for the sake of trying to be shocking. Big Mouth is raunchy (probably the raunchiest comedy ever created) for good reason. It explores the confusing time of puberty and therefore, yes, sex and genital exploration play a role here. While it's very crass and often absurd, it's also relatable. There are lines of truth that run through this show that make all the crass comedy incredibly funny.

They animated a little girl's **** and had it sing about ****... they do the same thing with little boy ****... I mean like... do they have to draw the **** of little girls and animate her fantasies of being penetrated by men for much older men to watch for the jokes to work? no... do they do it anyway? Yes. Why? Because apparently subtlety in comedy is dead

Who even is the target audience for this show? The jokes are not really that funny... mostly kind of obvious... and it is way too dumb for adults... but way too out of touch for teens. I heard some people say that it is for 18-24 year olds, but that is obviously not true because they did an entire episode on sex ed. That episode was almost completely free of jokes (or at least any funny ones) too and was completely focused on sex ed which makes no sense if the target demographic is indeed 18-24 year olds because... those people would already know all the information covered! I know I did... So that episode is for tweens and crap... but the rest of the show is filled with outdated references that most tweens won't get... so I ask again... who exactly is this show trying to appeal to?

I absolutely hate the art-style and it completely prevents me from enjoying the show. The character design is just awful to me and the animation looks so cheap and stiff. I don't know why, but the animation sort of reminds me of GoAnimate (Speaking in terms of motion here, not art-style)... I know it is not quite that bad in terms of quality, but the animation just feels so cheap!

The art style keeps it from being any good. Seriously, there are a few jokes that are mildly entertaining (and I mean mildly), but I never can laugh because the art style is just so terrible. It looks like cheap ass go-animate **** and there is very little creativity involved. The animation is the cheapest looking animation I have seen in such a high budget show and it just is not any fun at all to watch. It is pretty clear to me that all of the budget went to hiring the star-studded cast and absolutely no effort at all was put into animation... which is kind of a bad idea for an ANIMATED SHOW! In terms of comedy... it's really average. The jokes are way too easy and they feel like the jokes I would make right off the top of my head. The Statue of Liberty is a smoking depressed French person... how original! (Sarcasm... that joke about French people has been made a 1000 times before) All the other jokes are about the awkwardness of going through puberty and... they are all so painfully standard! Like... "He got a boner in class! Isn't that funny! HAR HAR HAR" or "He came in his pants! LOL". Beyond that... there is not much else to it. I think the funniest stuff comes from when the hormone monsters give terrible advice... but even that is a hit or a miss. The show is honestly painful for me to watch at times... not because it gives off second hand awkwardness... but because it is trying so hard to be funny and it just rarely ever lands a decent joke. I keep hearing people say that it is such a smart show for it's depiction of puberty as a monster... but honestly... that is a really obvious metaphor! Like I have seen so much media that has already done that... it's not that smart. Also, they call themselves the "Hormone Monsters"... they missed an opportunity to call them the "Hormonesters" and have a joke about how that's a terrible pun or some BS.

Big Mouth is one of the funniest adult comedies that goes a little too far with vulgarity.
