Starts off amazing and then heads downhill towards end of season1; it’s like they saw what they did with Witcher and said “let us go do that!!!”. Harry the alien is great; the acting is superb and some amazing awkward funny. Towards end of season1 the alien / main character is side lined for terrible side stories of”strong women characters”. Into season2 I find myself fast forwarding through the scenes of the alcoholic morally corrupt woman character, the Muslim child who is woke, the abandoned child, and rest of trash they throw in that has nothing to do with main story. Entire thing is just odd; great story being ruined by these random tangents and sprawling story arcs on bland characters with cringe inducing performances. Breaks the immersion and ruins the show; just seems like another “don’t let a good story get in the way of some good ol political messaging.” Hey show writers, we watch shows to escape the world…. Just fyi…

Eh... started off good. At this point the video game had a better story and characters; which is a pretty low bar (it's a video game). Clear at EP3 they went from good engaging story about the game "the last of us"; to a personal crusade and narrative about the show's writers. Too bad; hopefully they will see the reviews trend and get back on track.

The typical formula for destroying a perfectly good show. 1. race swap characters on a origin story; check 2. make the male white guy a incompetent wimp super-cuck and as dumb as possible; check 3. sexualize underage 16 year old girls; check 4. remove all humour other then virtue signaling and cringe insults to audience Yea... real winner; just r*cist and un-moral hollywood showing its true colors again.

One of the best shows until they destroy themselves in season 4. Really a near perfect show until season 4; then they start introducing the typical woke left politics at the cost of the story. Side lining or outright and killing off the main male characters in liew of making the side character the main story. You get a mixture of Glee, soap opera and a sci-fi thriller that flat out doesn't work. Season 5 they take a strong female lead (naomi) and turn her into bumbling victim that is always doubting herself. Female bad-ass to kidnap victim. Rest of main cast is about the same; great heros to incompetent idiots. At this point I am just watching a trainwreck and can't look away. Only saving storyline now is Bobby (another great female lead that is sidlined). Just an odd rollercoaster as they keep injecting messaging at cost of the story. Hopefully they get back on track as "go woke, go broke" is no longer covered up. Since the show was canned for season6; we can only hope the producers and showrunners learned their lesson.

A true rare gem! A horrifying clumsy insult to the original lore that seems to hate entire series. 1. Lost henry Cavill 2. Cringe inducing intersectionality rammed down your throat at every chance 4. The entire story is told in the first 15mins 5. Writers and script to absolute hate the source material and its re-written in their image. 6. The game has far better story writing (how is that even possible). 7. The NPCs from the game can act better. Just another woke left dreamworld that seeks to destroy a series by forced messaging and virtue signaling. As if Hollywood's elites should be giving lessons on morals and values. Utter rubbish; they should be ashamed and then fired for destroying a story that is basically already written for them.

"You cannot pass! Soulless adaptation that destroyed a legacy. Episodes drag on forever with zero storyline or plots points; the character intros spans about an hour and is done so poorly done you end up just feeling lost. The lore changes are forced in to fit a certain agenda; even my wife who is not a Tolkien fan was screaming at the TV. Spoiler for the woke-loons; sci-fi fantasy was woke way before your time, you don't need to destroy the genre. Welp; good way to burn 465 million dollars; I see imdb is deleting negative reviews as fast as possible, imagine someone must be held accountable for wasting a 1/2 billion dollars on their personal politics. The response is basically its our fault for being Tolkien fans. Shame on you J.A. Bayona.

As others mentioned; starts off great and then becomes a non-stop pile of woke garbage. The obscenest casting mistakes just so they can shovel a cringe fest political message. Some of the character gender swaps were just absurd and didn't work at all for the story. Ruined a perfectly good show and a massive insult to original comic. Cafe scene is where they start piling it on thick. Message was basically we are all secretly either letter mafia alphabet or in a unhappy marriage. As other mentioned; imdb is deleting all negative votes and reviews; lets hope metacritic has more integrity.

Terrible; followed by more terrible; just when you lose all hope; it smacks you with even more terrible. Forced messaging, bad acting and terrible plot lines. Like a mash-up of glee and resident evil; half the show is about some horrible cringe inducing teenage drama. Main characters are more than terrible; storyline hops all over the place and makes no sense. Entire thing becomes dull after 20mins.

Season1 blaze in with dazzling scenes of intrigue, susepense and un-anwsered questions. Very paltible enemies and authoritarian rule along with some fairly good characters. 9 out of 10... Season2 derails into some side story that is lackluster and really only has 1-2 good epsiodes; rest of mostly stale drama. 5 out 10 Season3 is truly tragic; first 10 or epsiodes are just cringe inducing drama as the characters cry and whine. Just stale and shallow writing. Towards end of season some real story and plot points start building up again. Truly tragic as there was so much they could of done with this world but failed to take it really anywhere. 2 out of 10 Great base story and world created; the actual content and story is lackluster.

10 out of 10 if it was just John Sema and Eagly... Basically throw out the rest of trash lackluster hacks that would be a better fit for the hallmark channel or some over done soap opera. Maybe add in some actual freaking talent or a support cast; ie: groot/gamora/rocket (you know, talent, like-able, some depth, personalty, believable?). Maybe just a lower bar; good actors... The shallow and depthless characters are as wide as a lake and and as shallow as a puddle. As the story forces in a bunch of benign topics that are supposed to be edgy; 25% of scenes are just out of place and feel forced/jumbled. Clear they were aiming for messaging and "correct" hiring vs casting correctly and it shows. I see a good story buried under all the trash; too bad it was whittle down to this mediocre at best result. Love of god; it is James Gunn and DCU... expected a-lot more. Watch for funny scenes with eagly!... not much else there.

"“House rules, Sammy. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole.” Great series with some very tangible characters. Lots of pulls from actual lore,relgion,fantasy and all sorts of background. Found myself hitting up wikipedia and seeing how much was based on "real stories". Not accurate; but almost all had a base. Reminds me of the Dan Brown style of storytelling a bit. The good: -Ton of stories, content, old legends, gods, lore, etc... Just a monster ball of stuff to find out. -Ghostfacers! some of my favorite episodes. -Some of the ideas and show changes were pure genius. Some worked; others didnt; but they would take huge swings at changing the entire "world" they setup. Anything from dropping main character in a world were they are actors on a show called supernatural (something something thirdwall) to trips back in time. Loved the boldness of trying these out. -Techie awkward redhead was an awesome character (Kathryn Felicia Day)! The Bad: -Some of the seasons were meh towards end (but expected with 15 seasons, they ran out of stuff to write about) -The best stories had some of the worse effects and screening; during the first seasons. Could tell they were on a small budget. -Drama scenes get a bit tiring and over-used.

3 points for season 1 before it goes into cringe inducing spiral of wokeness for no real reason. The vomit inducing cringe fest is so over-done and forced it just ruins entire story and characters. By season 5 it is half the main cast, because that makes sense (4% vs 50%).

10 out of 10 until season 3; at that point just stop watching. All of sudden the "woke" crowd took over and ran the story and show into ground. They should be walked out for this tragedy. Male characters transformed into simps = check Kill or background any strong leads = check Cringe inducing scenes from the talentless = check Broken story and pushing politics = check None based on talent or merit; simply filling the equation. All at cost of show, audience and reviews... Just sad.

Somewhat slow start but then builds; has some great new ideas and suspsene that keeps you coming back. The main cast is fairly tangible with decent character building. Some lack luster episodes that fill like filler at times and the teen characters feel a bit over-done and stale with arch types and boring drama. Overall worth a watch. Season 2 and into season 3; netflix starts to ruin the show with typical agenda. The glee cast takes over and it becomes a High School drama half the time that you have to fast forward through. By end of season 2 they start hopping all over the place and dismantling any characters that are white/male in typical fashion. Season 3 it truly goes off rails; back into messaging and storylines that make no sense. Turns into a snooze fest by EP3.... Too bad; really wanted to like the show, had a great core concept.

Truly terrible. Certain crowd picked cast based on "messaging" and didnt concentrate enough on plot, story, characters, etc... Was good for about 15mins as they setup the story and then fail miserreably right after. Performances by leads is often cringe inducing and dry; with dramatic over acting complete with "ominous music". In case it didnt feel "soap opera" enuff. Like Niko did in show; run to the other side of universe.
