Ash vs. Evil Dead makes a seamless transition from big screen to small, in part because the difference between the two has been shrinking for the past decade or so, but also because Raimi's sure-handed, inventive and delightfully wild direction in the premiere episode feels fit for any screen whatsoever.

When the stump of Ash’s right arm connects once more with his famous chain saw, you know it’s time to party, and pretty soon everything in the show looks like an explosion at the Ragu spaghetti-sauce factory. It is indeed the happiest of Halloweens.

I watch about 20 different television shows, including the big boys Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Daredevil, Sherlock, Stranger things, etc. and Ash vs Evil Dead is still my favorite show. It's just so creative and fun, and in the end that's what makes me happy when I'm seeking entertainment.

OMG! Yes! This show is hilarious and is a great call back to the horror of the 80s. I can't tell you enough how sometimes ridiculous the demons and killings are in this series. I mean of course use caution if you are offended by language and blood but if you don't care and love classic horror, then check this series out. Ash is back and old but is still a hand chainsawing bada**!

Little quibbles aside, the show remains a pretty marvellous accomplishment. It at once echoes the visceral “splatstick” mania of Raimi’s films while hitting a funky-fresh, self-referential note all its own.

What's ultimately so refreshing and thrilling about Ash vs. Evil Dead, whose premiere episode is helmed by Raimi, is how charmingly and giddily scrappy it feels, in both narrative and aesthetic, and the zooming, seemingly effortless pace at which Raimi keeps the bloody, widespread mayhem going.

This is full-throttle, blood-soaked television, and even when it's not hitting every mark, it's still a great time.

With our hero having already sacrificed a hand to the cause, nobody should be surprised if the series version doesn’t possess long legs. But as a short-term lark, it’s goofy, doesn’t take itself too seriously, and certainly feels well-calibrated to a very particular appetite that’s uniquely suited to pay cable. From that perspective, the show does justice to its campy, low-budget roots.

The show is mostly useful as a vengeful reverse prank on greedy legions of trick-or-treaters. Make sure your tube is prominently visible as you open the door to the kids, and give them a compulsive need for years of therapy along with their Butterfingers.

This was made for fans of the first two evil dead movies and army of darkness, but if you have never seen any of those don't fret as there is still a lot to enjoy. If you are partial to lots of blood, a little bit of slapstick comedy and great one liners, then this is the show for you.

It's awesome that Campbell is back as Ash but the nostalgia factor fades quickly. It's literally half the episode is a story progress while the second half is a long fight scene. It gets old pretty quickly and fails to really keep your attention. Ash Vs. Evil Dead isn't a bad show but it can be so much better.

Well, you can't expect too much from a show made in 2015 even if it is somehow connected to your most beloved horror film franchise. The way the Deadites are brought back seems a bit dumb since it could have easily continued directly from where Army of Darkness left off, but instead they deliver crude silliness more in the brand of 'My Name Is Bruce' rather than vintage Evil Dead. The episode still had its moments, Bruce is still great, there is plenty of fan service jammed in there, but somehow the whole things seems to hit left of **** will be interesting to see what the next ep will bring to the table

Very mediocre, 3 out of 10 episodes were really worth the time to watch. Raimi would be smart to take this show over and bring his magic back to the franchise.

I want to like this show but it is so poorly written and produced. and I don't understand why every supporting character is like 3 different minorities in 1.
