Noah Hawley’s dazzlingly haunting epic is all about what exactly defines us as human.

“Alien: Earth” is the most satisfying entry in the franchise in a long, long time — and one of the best television shows this year.

Every episode gets better and better. Episode 3 keeps you tense for the whole hour! AMAZING!

A great Sci-Fi series, simply plagued by a fanbase that cannot tolerate that new material deviate from what they made up in their head. If you are a fan of SciFi, this is just a straight-up good product (season 1)

“Alien: Earth” is a lavish production – more so than any of the films in the canon – but just as claustrophobic and, easily, as memorable.

In lesser hands, a series spinoff of the theatrical “Alien” franchise might seem like just another IP play — a money grab. But pair Noah Hawley, the writer behind FX’s “Fargo,” with “Alien,” and you get a show that’s significantly better than that.

As is often true of this franchise, the philosophical-existential stuff is never quite as deep as it wants to be. (See: Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.) But on a mechanical and biological level—and on its technical merits—the series is a gripping marvel.

Plenty of elements of this show are fun revisions on a classic, but Wendy's story is enough to make you wonder if science fiction will ever get a new gimmick.

To be fair, this is a series meant to be watched on a weekly basis rather than binged all at once, but the energy here is so flat that I imagine viewers might get fed up and abandon ship early rather than sticking with the entire mission.

’Alien: Earth’, our first TV series set in the Alien franchise, was a fun ride overall, diving into the horror and action aspects we know and love from the films while also going deeper into the more shadier side of business, synths, cyborgs and life in this day and age. The large and robust cast lead by great performances from Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh and Babou Ceesay as Morrow, will take you through a wide range of feelings and intrigue, never really knowing if a character is generally good or evil or what will happen to any of them at any given moment. It was some outstanding episodes and a few that needed improvement, but over ‘Alien: Earth’ season 1 took us on an enjoyable ride that left us excited for things to come in season 2, even if the finale was a bit underwhelming. These days, with regular people doing crazy stuff on TikTok, they really think we’re gonna buy the incompetence of everyone working on that island—especially those soldiers just standing there staring at the screen. We're gonna be even dumber in the future, damn. The show started strong, but ended up a mess.

Stupid characters do stupid things, and moronic screenwriters try to cobble together a plot out of it... Disney has decided to destroy another IP. PROS: Nice visuals, but only because they draw heavily from the original "Alien". PS The xenomorph - the perfect adversary - has been reduced to the level of a dog.
