Noah Hawley’s dazzlingly haunting epic is all about what exactly defines us as human.

“Alien: Earth” is the most satisfying entry in the franchise in a long, long time — and one of the best television shows this year.

Excellent show. It represents a significant but well-integrated expansion of the Alien universe. The Hybrids are a fascinating choice of direction, yet a very logical one.

I honestly really loved the serie, the only "bad" points i'd give to it is that we didn't really see much Aliens sadly. but I have to say to any people who said and will say that "wendy is controlling the alien" she is not controlling him guys use your brain, she watched him "grow up" and spoke to him almost every day so it's like an animal you would grow up with giving him love, he will stay loyal to you and help you in any situation, that's obvious just look at those people on tiktok that be friend with tiger and lions cuz they grew up with them, same thing here with wendy and the alien the only difference is that wendy learnedhow to speak their language cuz of the prodigy words when he told her smth like "can youtry to reproduce that sound for me ?" and yeah I won't yap alot about it but yeah if yall didn't like the series cuz of that, now yk it's actually not what yall thought

“Alien: Earth” is a lavish production – more so than any of the films in the canon – but just as claustrophobic and, easily, as memorable.

In lesser hands, a series spinoff of the theatrical “Alien” franchise might seem like just another IP play — a money grab. But pair Noah Hawley, the writer behind FX’s “Fargo,” with “Alien,” and you get a show that’s significantly better than that.

As is often true of this franchise, the philosophical-existential stuff is never quite as deep as it wants to be. (See: Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.) But on a mechanical and biological level—and on its technical merits—the series is a gripping marvel.

Plenty of elements of this show are fun revisions on a classic, but Wendy's story is enough to make you wonder if science fiction will ever get a new gimmick.

To be fair, this is a series meant to be watched on a weekly basis rather than binged all at once, but the energy here is so flat that I imagine viewers might get fed up and abandon ship early rather than sticking with the entire mission.

My rating for this film: a very good series that expands the world of Alien. It preserves the atmosphere of the main series very well. I recommend this film to anyone who likes science fiction. A great ending and, at the same time, an introduction to the next season.

It was written in crayon, but if you turn your brain off its relatively enjoyable.

I'm a big fan of the franchise. It's a good but not great show. The first two episodes were great but the rest of the season was too slow and the ending is just a big "wait till you see what we have for season 2!". The Peter Pan parallels were a good idea and having children in adult bodies was a way for the show to handle great themes. In fact, this show has great ideas and interesting characters but it spends too much time running in places and having predictable twists than really developping it's characters and themes.

This is the ugliest piece of **** I’ve seen in a long time with the most annoying and stupid characters imaginable. It was painful to watch.
