This show took a few episodes for me to really start enjoying it as it felt a little too different but by the end of the first season I was hooked and I loved it. Its a worthy sequel to the original show.

This show completely misses the point of what made Adventure Time so magical. It's even more devoid of personality than the final seasons of Adventure Time. The writing is, at best, humorless, and at worst, completely milquetoast. I'm not sure how the series maintains a 100% rating on RT. You would have to mount a serious effort to write dialogue more bland than in this show. Don't be deceived by the high user ratings -- most of the accounts that rated the series so far are fake users or bot accounts. If you click on their usernames, you'll see that they have a history of only rating other Adventure Time shows, and that they've awarded them all 10s. The accounts are also all ESL accounts with generic names.
