i can't believe a film from the seventies resonates so hard with themes we're living today. very enjoyable to watch too

in the book, the long walk is supoosed to be this huge nationwide spectacle but here they didn't convey that at all. still, it does a very good job at representing everything else, and tbh i prefer this ending over the one in the book

An audiovisual spectacle but the plot, pacing and especially the ending leave a lot to be desired. Still, it has a lot of good stuff.

not entirely bad but it isn't scary at all and the kids are extremely foul mouthed, which at least for me broke the immersion

Everyone keeps screaming, yelling and cursing every two seconds it becomes annoying quite quickly. Big Bill does not feel like Big Bill at all (yes, he does have a little more agency than the others but the bar is very low). What bothers me the most is how half of the Losers want to bail at the slightest sign of trouble. I think this is the greatest contradiction in relation to previous materials, because the motivation to stop It and prevent It from killing more kids is supposedly stronger than their fear, though this is not felt at all in this adaptation.
