From the direction to the script to the production elements to the performances, Triple Frontier is a first-class ride.

An unconventional heist film in which a majority of the action occurs after the loot has been liberated, Triple Frontier features impeccable photography, strong acting, and well-staged action scenes that ooze tension.

This movie is so bad it's good. Go into it expecting a really bad action movie and revel in its hilarity

Triple Frontier features a cool cast and a gruesome story about greed, but it fails to capitalize on its own premise.

Triple Frontier has the good sense to take a macho, Expendables-like set-up and turn it inward. It just doesn’t go far enough.

Triple Frontier is engaging in parts with well-mounted action. But the characters lack definition and you can’t help but think an old timer like Howard Hawks or Sam Fuller might have done it better in half the time.

An impressive team comes together in front of the camera and behind the scenes for the heist thriller Triple Frontier, but the results are frustratingly uneven.

J.C. Chandor turns an intensely physical narrative into another of his inadvertently generic studies of procedure.

Beautiful cinematography is the most positive thing to say about TF. Storyline/script is below average. And sometimes these hardened veterand do just plain stupid Things. One never sympathise with the characters, and especially Affleck is not doing a good job.

65/100 Okay... I could have seen something much better. The action scenes are ok, the story is ok, the acting is ok ... pretty much, it's just an ok film, nothing special. I recommend? Ummm, I do not think so. You can see another movie, you do not lose anything ...

A Star-Studded Gathering That Ends With a Splash but Lacks Substance251007 (1.6)"Enough is enough—seriously!" This film gathers a massive lineup of top-tier actors, creating high expectations, only to have them end up just splashing around in the water without any real impact. It fails to strike a balance in its narrative structure: it is far too bland to stand alone as a successful first installment of a series, yet it feels overly heavy and cumbersome if intended merely as a "prelude" or trailer for what is to come. The experience is frustrating because the sheer talent on screen is squandered on a story that lacks a clear hook or a satisfying payoff. Instead of delivering a gripping plot, the movie feels like it’s stuck in a repetitive loop, making the viewer want to shout for it to finally get to the point. Ultimately, it leaves a bitter taste—neither a full meal nor a tempting appetizer, but rather an awkwardly heavy introduction to a journey that hasn't quite figured out where it is going.

This is one of those films that leave you frustrated and yelling at the screen because of the stupid stupid stupid decisions that were obviously only injected into the story as plot devices. It is established early on that these comrades are supposed to be the best of the best but then at a crucial point, make the most rookiest of mistakes that insults the intelligence of the viewer. Overall, an extremely depressing movie, which seems to only exist in order to pass not so subtle moral commentary which is banal in nature and a rehash of observations that was better communicated in other films in a much better way. Not to mention a ridiculous," I too am Spartacus moment at the end which rendered everything that they sacrificed for null and void. Boooooo!!!!
