Snatched

In a curious way, Snatched is a little like an Amy Schumer stand-up routine: sometimes edgy, occasionally hilarious, and lessened by the bits that fall flat.

No one will ever credit Snatched with discovering new comic territory. But it earns its share of laughs by covering some well-trod ground.

As Snatched’s blonde-leading-the-blonde farce careens on, it stumbles into moments of deranged inspiration.

Snatched is one of those movies that feels like a rough draft of itself. A few more rewrites, a few more laughs, a little (well, a lot) more attention, and maybe it would have been an amusing summer comedy.

It’s impossible not to come out wishing it were better.

It was supposed to be a lark. And then, almost immediately, it went off the rails. I’m not referring to the mother-daughter vacation gone wrong in Snatched, but rather the experience of watching it.

Pairing up talented comedians like Hawn and Schumer with a wacky plotline to match should spell comedy gold, but Snatched is about as cheap and disposable as a tourist trap tchotchke.

Think this movie is massively underrated, and actually funnier and tighter than Trainwreck.

This film is certainly somewhat cringe-y and forgettable but it is also somewhat amusing and its definitely an easy watch, with little content likely to especially offend. Its silly but ok - no more, no less.

I was not expecting that, in a good way. Although the half of the movie is so-so the rest is a decent comedy.

This is pretty pretty bad. I watched it on a plane not realizing it would be edited for content. I can't promise anything, but it may have actually been funnier as a result.

I think the only word I can use to describe this movie is "Ooooof". This was a journey and not a good one. I think I would have prefered to go through the ordeal these women went through. The film somehow manages to be racist, offensive , annoying and unfunny all at the same time.
