Onslaught makes for a fun ride that refuses to compromise its vision and sensibilities for no one. In today’s milquetoast filmmaking landscape, that makes it a film worth seeking out.

The only thing this movie could've done better is getting I've seen footage by death grips to play over the credits. This movie is amazing and absolutely noided. It conveys everything one battle after another wishes it could've conveyed in an entertaining and slopless format. I heavily recommend this.

Exactly what the doctor ordered. Love Adam Wingard, an the tone, feel, mood of this movie is pitch-perfect. In another universe, this movie would get the Obsession reaction from fans, and the lead actress would be the next big thing. Maybe A24 simply didn't market it enough. Regardless, I loved the action, the setting, and the fireworks! See this movie.

Onslaught is a consistent pleasure to actually look at, and there’s scarcely a moment where it fails to entertain.

Though Onslaught takes place in the same New Mexico as The Guest, it pushes the earlier film’s exploitation-movie excesses farther, and appropriately so, suggesting Assault on Precinct 13 by way of The Prowler.

In trying to tick off both action and slasher, Wingard often falls in the unsatisfying gap in-between.

It’s not thoughtful or inspired enough to make you care about its paint-by-numbers story beats, and it’s certainly not angry enough to be disarming. But hey, if you’ve seen this type of movie before, the makers of Onslaught are betting that you’ll want to see their ersatz rehash, too.

There’s a way to make a bloody shoot-em-up like this entertaining and even enjoyably disreputable, but the overwhelming result of Onslaught is ennui.

Made on a budget. Some characters made no sense and/or no development at all. It started with an j testing development that ultimately led nowhere. Wait for streaming.

Mediocre slop as expected from the studio who made mediocre backrooms. A movie that dont justify its existence
