most boring movie i ever watched, it **** totally i have no worlds so baaaaad

Funny, brisk, and not overwrought like so many other animated features that put me to sleep.

This is terribly and that Bob Kevin’s fan start has not appear in this minions movie like what the heck man?

This movie can be really funny, I laugh a lot. More good than older ones. For sure.

Cons: For a movie called “Minions and Monsters,” I really expected there to be more monsters. There are so many famous classic movie monsters who could have made an appearance in this film, and yet they barely scratched the surface in terms of how many monsters were featured. Also, I feel like the marketing for this movie was misleading. The story wasn’t really about the minions encountering many famous monsters. Instead, it was more about the minions dabbling in making movies as sort of a celebratory homage to the history of Hollywood. Finally, this movie is just kinda random, and I don't even really know why it exists. It doesn’t focus on the tribe of minions that eventually meets Gru, but instead focuses on another tribe who finds themselves in Hollywood in the 1920s. It is such a mindless side quest movie, and really requires you to have a love for the minion characters themselves in order to fully enjoy the shenanigans that goes on. Pros: I loved the orange blob creature “Irene” that appeared at the end of the movie. That monster was genuinely intimidating and made for an intense climax as an opponent for the minions to defeat. Also, I liked all the references and cameos to all the well-known Hollywood movies, characters, and classic monsters. It was fun to see which would pop up throughout the movie. Finally, I liked the twist at the end where it is revealed that Goomi is trying to take over the world, not actually help the minions make a movie. While the twist was kinda obvious, it does make for an interesting turn of events for the minions to confront and solve.

Minions & Monsters is the best entry in the franchise, a love letter to old Hollywood that serves as the launchpad for the antics the Minions are known for. It’s silly stuff, but also surprisingly heartfelt. Highly Recommended. detroitcineaste

Absolutely unwatchable. No plot, idiotic smash ups for no reason, moronic minions speaking gibberish for 90 minutes. This movie killed many of my brain cells that I will never get back. Don’t let this happen to you. And, yes , I enjoyed several of the DM movies. This made those look like Gone With the Wind.

Good movie with a couple of funny moments but wasn’t as good as previous installments

With time, the Despicable Me-Minion Universe at Illumination had lost its charm. The first Despicable Me was fresh, about a villain with a heart. But as the sequels kept coming, the quality went down by a lot. The Minions continue to be adorable though. No one knows how many Minions are there. Minions & Monsters answers that by taking us on the road that another group of Minions had taken & how they changed Hollywood in the latter 1920s. I was pleasantly surprised by this Minions adventure. Who knew shifting the story to another group of identical looking species would make a difference? Maybe Illumination had figured out how to carve out more movies by expanding on the idea of multiple groups of Minions in different parts of the world. Gru doesn't need to be there in every movie. The Hollywood set story is fun with numerous references to the silent era of movies and movie making. Though it is a Minion, we are shown how following one's dreams is important and perseverance & having the right people by your side makes a world of difference. The characters - Henry, James & **** are an entertaining trio with them battling monsters & aliens, all to just make a movie. Minions & Monsters may be the best Minion movie, but the franchise has run its course. It is time to sign off for the cutest little minions.

the animation is great but if you are coming back for the great minion/despicable me hilarity, its for some reason almost non existent in this latest installment of the series. i heard three or four laughs in the theater i saw this in during the whole movie.

This is easily the best standalone film for the Minions; I had a lot of fun watching it with my kid. We both enjoyed it. I didn't have much with the Despicable Me films, so this was a great entry that I was able to enjoy with a ton of adult humor included; this made me understand the 'hype' around it.

A great animated popcorn film which might not connect to some but if it grips you then surely you will have a fun ride.

Let's be honest, as great as the original Despicable Me is, the Minions are the best things to come out of it - and the Minions movies are easily better than the film series they come from. The Rise Of Gru is the only animated movie I consider to be a 2020s classic, and the last Despicable Me movie wasn't great. So I was extremely excited to see this one, especially when I heard the concept of the Minions being historical Hollywood movie stars, and it really didn't disappoint. I'm pretty sure this one will be more of a hit with movie buffs over 35, because there are so many nods to old movies that I feel like I need to go and see this again just to catch the ones I missed! The main monster that arrives at the end is a great reference to one of my favourite horror movies The Blob. There are tons of references to old silent movie classics like Safety Last and The Great Train Robbery, and also Hollywood classics like Metropolis and Citizen Kane. Like The Rise Of Gru, most of it is just deranged comedy and I laughed out loud repeatedly all the way through it, especially when Dort (a parody of the robot from The Day The Earth Stood Still) leads the Minions in a women's rights march because he falls in love with a suffragette. The ending *almost* spoils the movie, but it's just such a good film throughout that I can forgive the slight cop out at the end. If you really know your movie history, this is a must see and my favourite film of the year.

Minions & Monsters genuinely surprised me. It's the best movie in the franchise since Despicable Me 2, and for the first time in years I can confidently say that it's simply a good film without major reservations. The story focuses on one clear plot and actually follows it instead of constantly adding unnecessary side characters and multiple storylines like the recent entries. This helps the pacing and keeps the movie from becoming an endless stream of action and distractions. The new characters, James and Henry, work surprisingly well as main characters with their own personalities rather than just being another source of random yellow jokes. The humor is still chaotic and silly, but it feels more balanced, aiming for consistent laughs instead of relying only on absurdity. The early cinema theme also adds a lot of charm and atmosphere. Overall, Illumination somehow managed to do the impossible: they brought the franchise back to its prime... but the question remains: how long will it last?

Minions & Monsters doesn't reinvent the franchise, but its charming tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood, energetic animation, and consistently funny set pieces make it one of the series' strongest recent outings.

The popular yellow creatures are back looking for a new evil master. After quickly going thru a bunch, they end up in ‘20s Los Angeles. Of course, the inevitable monsters appear and the romp continues. As I said about the original film, “Their occasionally intelligible jibberish never gets old and the silly slapstick always generates a smile, if not a laff." True again. The story is filled with endless energy, which makes up for the lack of much true hilarity. There are a few genuinely funny lines and some Easter eggs for those familiar with Hollywood lore. Otherwise, it’s just a jumble of minions. NOTE: They do have additional comic moments during the final credits, but nothing at the end.

I enjoyed it with my kids, I think it’s one of the better minion films as it just shows them more instead of focusing on Gru like in the first films.

This movie has lots of references to old movies The minions here are the best there ever written there are jokes that are not good but it’s a solid package

Minions & Monsters (U) is a Gru-less animated caper which has the yellow creatures centre stage, focusing on James, Henry and Ed. All are voiced by Pierre Coffin who also **** start in a museum where the guide Olivia (Alison Janney) is shocked to learn that the group haven't heard of James and Henry; their contribution to Hollywood and how they prevented the destruction of the world. So she proceeds to make them sit down and tells their **** tale relates the early history of the Minions and their search for an evil master to serve and James' rare obsession, for a Minion, to want to tell stories and bring them to **** Minions end up in Hollywood in the 1920s where they threaten and then save the career of film director Max (Christoph Waltz). James learns that he has the necessary skills to direct films of his own and when the Minions relationship with the Bright Brothers studio comes to an end, he and Henry decide to make a movie based on his story board 'Minions and Monstra'.Short of monsters, they are helped by Ed who salvaged an artefact from a previous evil master, which enables James to produce a monster, albeit a diminutive one, named Goomi (Trey Parker).With the help of Goomi they are able to acquire scarier monsters but as the best laid plans of mice and Minions oft go agley, they find that making their movie has unexpected complications, unconnected to production and direction.I enjoyed the film which required little mental effort to appreciate and would recommend it to those with children and to those adults who just never really grew up. If you already know of the Minions from their previous Despicable Me antics, you won't need any encouragement to see this latest slice of Minion mayhem.

I am very surprised by all of the negative reviews in here, it's literally just more minions, what else could you possibly want?

Forgettable but very funny. Not the best Minions movie but overall it was good. A lot of funny scenes. Great for kids and parents alike.

The Minions are back once again simply to entertain, and they never disappoint, this time, with its wonderfully specific Hollywood setting, this film is easy to enjoy from beginning to end, younger audiences will probably miss many of the classic movie references, but that doesn't stop the filmmakers from giving older viewers a delightful treat, even including a cute little cameo from someone whose influence helped shape the blockbuster films we know today. The setting is wonderful, the characters are fun, and Christoph Waltz is great as the film director, while Jeff Bridges brings plenty of personality to the twin brothers who run the movie studio, they all add a lot of charm to the story. What continues to make this franchise work is its ability to embrace simple, lighthearted fun, it never tries to be anything more than an entertaining family adventure, and it's filled with the kind of innocent humor and joyful energy that constantly puts a smile on your face. That said, i do think the so-called villain is one of the weaker antagonists in the franchise, i didn't dislike the character, but i couldn't help the feeling they could have come up with something much better. Besides that, overall, Minions & Monsters is another unsurprisingly charming, funny, and thoroughly entertaining entry in the Despicable Me/Minions franchise, more than anything, it feels like a genuine love letter to cinema, celebrating the magic of classic Hollywood in the cutest and most enjoyable way possible, and i really liked it.

Una peli entretenida para ver en familia. En mi opinión no es la mejor de la franquicia de Gru, ni supera la primera película de los Minions pero vale la pena para pasar el rato. Como la peli Minions, peca de tener demasiado tiempo a los personajes hablando en su idioma sinsentido, cosa que después de una hora de película, llega a desgastar un poco al espectador.

The film is good, but not great. It lacks a few things, but the story is presented in an interesting way. Some moments in the film really made me laugh. I think this film is worth watching, but you can't expect it to be a truly great production.

As someone who actually likes minions, I'd give this an 8/10. I liked the ending, especially the scale of it and plot twists, and the backstory to how they got where they were. Altough I didn't like the lack of the classic Despicable Me characters (which would be fine if they weren't featured during the end credits). I'd recommend giving it a watch, but keep in mind that it's a very unique movie and that might make you not like it.

Minions & Monsters seemed to start off with a “here we go again” vibe—just another run-of-the-mill movie made on autopilot, repeating the same jokes and formula until you get tired of them. But then, in the midst of the chaos, Pierre Coffin came up with an idea too good to ignore: setting the Minions in the world of silent-film Hollywood and paying homage to classic **** that’s when the movie turns into a delightful romp for anyone who loves cinema. It’s full of references, parodies, tributes, recreations of classic scenes, and that feeling of pointing at the screen and saying, “I got that one!” The problem is that, when it realizes it’s getting too inspired, the franchise pulls it back by the collar and reminds us that the title promises **** result is a bit like Frankenstein: part love letter to cinema, part studio formula stitched together with scares. But it’s a likable Frankenstein. It doesn’t reinvent the Minions, but it shows that they work much better making movies than looking for another master to serve.

That was an Amazing movie with cinematic animation authentic sound design and with that its now in theaters
