Honeslty i had troubles to like it at first. But it was addictive. I watched it atleast 4 times in one month. The animations is so incredible and creative. The chara designs are top tier too and the songs are so so good ! But the storyline is messy. Mira and Zoe don't even have their storyline, they are just pretty characters to help grow the main character but they don't do much on their own. I hope they will fix it in the next movie.

Such a jam to put an effort of K-Pop plus animation of Spider-Verse and a solid story to tell.

The fact that such a ridiculous and absurd work won an award makes it undeniably the best comedy of 2025.

Music is good animation was decent but the lines and story was bad. Very cringe most of the time. I guess if you are k pop fan you would like it.

In my oppinion the film has got good music, funny animations and the plot is enjoyable. I enjoyed the film a lot of and I watch it usually.

The movie's greatest achievement is to be enjoyable even for those who don't care about KPop, like me. It's fast paced, funny, the songs are catchy and fit the story, and the animation is wonderful. Probably not an Oscar worthy masterpiece, but in a moment of time where animated films are mostly just sequels and unoriginal ideas, KPop Demon Hunters feels like a nice comfort movie to re-watch anytime.

I was wondering for quite a while how this movie would be for me, seeing the absolute fever it struck last year and fortunately, it delivered. True, I may have gone into the movie without expectations, though that was probably a great thing, as well as not seeing trailers. The premise follows a fall from grace story arc approach though it does so with enough twists and unique aspects to reel you in and leave you humming more than one song, even if you're not a huge K-Pop fan. Animation varies throughout using different techniques depending what was needed for each scene. It reminded me a bit of Spiderverse though not as on the nose with the amalgamation of animation styles. It's subtle and works. Characters are charming though we only do proper dives into four characters, with a bit of extra development for two or three secondary characters. But this is really the story of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey as Huntrix and the struggle one of the band members faces on their pursuit to achieve the Golden Honmoon to banish demons from the world. Action sequences are stylish, fun, and more than once you really get some content that is a bit darker than what you're used to in the movie. The cast is All-Asian which makes for a wonderful authentic experience showing that a great movie, with a solid story talking about kindness and empathy can unite people of all types. Would definitely watch again for music and to see those little animation nuances that are hidden throughout.

bad guys 2 should've gotten the nominee instead of this unfunny movie. The only good thing about this was ken jeong

The songs in this film are absolutely incredible—they’ll have your shoulders grooving and stay on repeat for a long time. While the story wraps up a bit abruptly, it feels like watching a perfectly conceptualized idol concert, which is a fantastic experience in itself. The film follows "Huntriss," a trio of hunters who use their voices to drive away evil spirits. To gather the spiritual energy needed to build the "Spirit Gate" (Honmun), they perform as a top-tier idol group. The animation and action are top-notch, reminiscent of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," with clever transitions into comic-style **** attention to Korean detail is delightful, from authentic snack plates of kimbap and sundae to the "HAN Clinic" specializing in idols. Even the merchandise, like cup noodles named after the members, feels real. The voice cast is legendary: Lea Salonga and Kim Yunjin lend their voices to the character Celine, while Lee Byung-hun voices the villainous Guima. The "Saja Boys," a rival group led by the 400-year-old Grim Reaper Jin-woo, add a fun competitive edge. From the tiger appearing in Bukchon Hanok Village to the lightsticks with traditional Korean patterns, the "K-culture" aesthetic is perfectly executed. It’s a vibrant fusion of shamanistic rituals and modern fandom, where the crowd’s collective energy helps the heroes achieve the "Golden Spirit Gate." Though I’ll admit my rating has a bit of "national pride" bias, the sheer style and music make it a total joy to watch.

lowk cringe as hell but the animation and music was VERY good. the climax was pre sick and the girls themselves were actually decent. the saja boys were... less tolerable especially jinu my lord i hated his voice. but to be honest, this film was more or less meant to be fun and unserious so despite me grimacing at half of the dialogue - it was enjoyable!

I know this review is late since I already did a review on rotten tomatoes. But this movie is genuinely good, the songs are really enjoyable and some of them even emphasize some of the characters emotions or conflicts they have, the humor is good in the movie I found some of the jokes really funny, and the characters are really good in terms of writing, The Huntrix trio I liked since their character arcs are pretty well made. Overall, this movie is just peak.

If you haven’t seen K-Pop Demon Hunters yet, what are you even doing? This movie is absolutely amazing and has easily grown one of the most intense fandoms of 2025 for a reason. It’s the perfect blend of Demon Slayer action and Sailor Moon aesthetics, but with a soundtrack that actually tops real-world charts. It’s not just a movie; it’s a whole culture moment that has officially become the most-watched Netflix original in **** need to talk about the character designs because Sony Animation really went all out. Abby is highkey a top-tier bias—like zamn, look at them abs!. The animators knew exactly what they were doing when they increased his muscle density by 20% compared to the rest of the Saja Boys. He’s officially the "eye candy" of the group and I am not complaining.Then there’s Jinu, who is such a hott, tragic leader. His "enemies-to-lovers" tension with Rumi is everything, and that emotionally charged performance by Ahn Hyo-seop really sold the heartbreak of his back story. And Baby? Absolute hott energy but in that "cool, nonchalant rapper" way. The fact that he was inspired by Jimin from BTS explains why he’s such a fan **** general idea of idols leading double lives as hunters is generally great and executed so well. Yes, the movie is hilariously inaccurate about "demonology" (obviously lol), but the emotional themes of self-acceptance and sisterhood hit surprisingly hard. It’s generally entertaining for most ages, with enough meta-commentary for the older fans and pure spectacle for the younger ones. Between the "Golden" sing-alongs and the "Saja Boys" world domination, this is the defining film of 2025. If we don’t get that 2029 sequel sooner, I’m going to riot. 10/10, no notes, just vibes and abs.

I cried popcorn when I watched it first, still cry popcorn when I re-watch it. The movie was funny, beutiful, with great music and lovable characters. It deserves all the praise!

K-Pop Demon Hunters is a beautiful film that teaches us to love ourselves for who we are. Its story, characters, and songs make it a perfect movie for people of all ages. The best thing about the film is that when you see the title, you think it will be a ridiculous movie, but it's a film made with effort and talent. Its only negative points are that Mira and Zoey deserved to be explored more, as their stories weren't explored much. If the movie were longer, it would be a 10/10.

I viewed kpop demon hunters because I had only heard remarkable and original acclaim regarding this film out of curiosity and a sense of boredom I decided to watch it and oh my goodness everyone was entirely correct about this movie.

This is one of the best animated films you'll ever see... Even though I hate K-pop, I gave it a try and, to my surprise, I liked it! The songs were absolutely fantastic, especially "What Sounds Like," "Your Idol," and "Golden." I highly recommend watching it; it's awesome!

I couldn't even make it past 5 minutes, I couldn't make it go lower then 0, I HATE THIS MOVIE. Don't waste your time on this, the soundtrack S*cks and just watch better stuff that Sony made like Spider Verse, or Mitchells vs Machines, I c*ap on this movie whenever I can -10/10.

I'm not in love with the story, it's silly, but it's fine for what it is, the songs were catchy, though not particularly memorable for me, and the animation was great, it's a nicely made animated film with a slightly cheesy yet enjoyable take on K-pop culture. I found myself entertained throughout, it's not a masterpiece, but it's different, beautifully animated, and overall an enjoyable watch, even if i don't have much more to say about it.

I used to think this movie was just a bunch of girls fighting people, but just watching it once made me change my mind. I was at a party, and I wanted to watch a movie as I was bored. I told my friends that I wanted to watch this movie, as I wanted to try it. They agreed, as they like the movie a lot. After I watched it, I wanted to watch it again. The characters are funny, and the songs are actually awesome, and touching, unlike most songs I heard. The movie actually has a plot. I would definitely recommend this to people. Those who dislike this movie, not to be mean, but you really have a bad taste in really good movies. I watched it 3 times so far, and my opinion only became stronger. Also, I have watched a ton of movies before this, my standards being very high. This movie is a straight up 10/10.

It felt a bit fast at some points, and I think it would have been better as a show opposed to a 90-minute movie so they could expand the characters more, but overall, it was pretty good 8/10

This movie is the new "Frozen." Seriously, it's great; beautifully animated with a heartfelt story and ridiculously catchy songs.

Amazing. It is unreal how this good is. Highly recommend with gf with kids or anyone. Genuinly impressive art of work.

Words can't describe how much I love this movie the soundtrack the animation everything is wonderfull If you haven't watched it DO IT !

Music is amazing, as is animation. The three main heroines + Jinu are very fun characters and well written. Gwi-Ma (the big bad) is very disappointing though. Just this big fireplace that tries to be menecing. Story isn't anything new or particularly well done either. Still, it is great fun. If you love musicals and consider character work more important then story or world building, then it's 100% recommend.

The movie has become a phenomenon. In short it beats easily everything Disney and Pixar had put out in years (Maybe except inside Out 2). The cast is amazing, the songs are rocking the charts and even the story is much deeper than I expected. The story is about the KPOP group Huntr/x who are on the top of popularity. Secretly to the world they are also demon hunters that protect mankind against demons. They come from a long line of demon hunters that recognized long ago that songs have powers to create a barrier that prevents demons to interfere in the human world. Because they are to strong for the demons to handle they start a different approach while the leader of Huntr/x has a secret she hides. I stop here to avoid spoilers. The story and characters are amazing. They won me over immediately and I was deeply invested into both. The songs are marvelous and that comes from a (mostly) I hate songs in animations guy. It is no wonder that there a sing along versions and they rock the charts. The visuals are beautiful but the style is not entirely my cup of tea but that is my problem. All of this together makes an incredibly enjoyable movie. If you analyze the motives and story you even get valuable lessons about friendship, acceptance and self discovery. Overall I say the hype is real and it is a must see movie.

Animação com história ultra-generica e infatilizada. Sério, parece que eu já vi essa premissa pela milessima vez, um grupo de heroinas que luta contra demonios mas a heroina principal esconde um segredo, que ela é meio-demonia e pra completar tem ultra-cliche do grupo de antagonista ter um vilão que se apaixona pela protagonista e se redime só no final. A única coisa que salva esse filme são as músicas que realmente são sensacionais e grudam na mente.

Enjoyed the film. Looking forward to a sequel. Hoping to see more of the trio.

Movie is not bad, but it is not oscar worthy of good, it has a good plot, and story and good visuals, and funny jokes on kpop fans. The problem, the music, it is ultra repetitive, and highly synthesized.

One of the most pleasantly unexpected movies of the year. Going in I've found musicals to be so hit or miss for me, half the movies the music can elevate an average movie to a good movie but the music in this movie make it go from great to masterpiece. The animations is top notch and very fluid during high motion fight **** characters are all unique and exist separately with their own strengths and struggles, but shine when **** themes are perfectly executed for younger audiences, accepting your faults and moving forward regardless, finding your way back to your friends in trying times, the dangers of idolization and realizing just because someone is popular or famous doesn't always mean they're a good person and to a smaller extent to question your own beliefs because not everything you've been told is true and those villainized may be worthy of the benefit of doubt not always of course but a ton of great themes.Also, the music stands the test of time, still listening weeks later. I'd consider this movie a must watch 2025 movie!

I've never really been a big anime fan but after seeing this I understand now. The emotion buildup almost got me, the music is fantastic, the story with its ups and downs are just insane. Fantastic writing and visuals. its a 9.5/10 but 10 it is

Terrific fun with a great soundtrack. I didn't expect it be a musical, but that's essentially what it is. Unhinged, exciting, and with a good dose of heart, it's no wonder people were raving about this film.

It's not for me, that's for sure. 5/10, animation looks great, but that doesn't mean I can survive the first 6 minutes of this film. Sony, this is what you've been working on? Come on, give me something good, like Hotel Transylvania 1 good, not this whatever nonsense.

Good sound. Better story than most of movies nowadays. Good lenght. Critic could be, that this girlbands and boybands hype and their beauty ideals is getting out of control.

Likeable characters. No girl bossing. Interesting animation with many funny expressions, A basic story that's well told with good characterisation. It is worth a watch but MY GOD the music is ear cancer. Maybe I'm too old for this but the digital processing on all vocals is disgusting to listen to and caused an actual disgust reaction. If you like kpop then I guess it's not a problem, but I grew up on actual bands that sang in actual voices. So I had to skip skip skip. Also, there are waay too many songs. So I only watched about 2/3 of the actual film.
