One of the most pleasantly unexpected movies of the year. Going in I've found musicals to be so hit or miss for me, half the movies the music can elevate an average movie to a good movie but the music in this movie make it go from great to masterpiece. The animations is top notch and very fluid during high motion fight **** characters are all unique and exist separately with their own strengths and struggles, but shine when **** themes are perfectly executed for younger audiences, accepting your faults and moving forward regardless, finding your way back to your friends in trying times, the dangers of idolization and realizing just because someone is popular or famous doesn't always mean they're a good person and to a smaller extent to question your own beliefs because not everything you've been told is true and those villainized may be worthy of the benefit of doubt not always of course but a ton of great themes.Also, the music stands the test of time, still listening weeks later. I'd consider this movie a must watch 2025 movie!

this movie is exactly what you'd expect, a really fun theater experience "CHICKEN JOCKEY" the viral meme marketing strikes again.. and as long as you go into this movie with reasonable expectations that this was a movie of course made to entertain child, you'll probably have a decent time. Jack Black's charisma absolutely carries this movie and whether you enjoy this movie will heavily depend on how favorable you feel towards Jack Black and the Minecraft game itself. Overall i have mixed opinions on this movie because although i had a fun time going to see this with a buddy, I can't help but think even though this is kids entertainment it still feels really dumbed down and almost a disservice to video game adaptions as a whole. Young audiences can handle somewhat complex plots and stories, a great example, avatar the last air bender, very much a kid's show with mature undertones that are missing from newer movies, but then again it's okay to enjoy dumb fun here and there. Also good on them for honoring technoblade!

A brilliant and heartfelt look at our future. This film had a great story and excellent performances especially from the two leads. Jack Quid overly proved himself to be a worthy watch from outside the boys universe and I've always saw Sophia Thatcher's immense potential in this industry, both incredibly talented actors that completely sold the loser opportunist boyfriend and the lovestruck optimistic girlfriend. Probably my favorite film this year so far because it asks my favorite philosophical question, what are we to do when AI is indistinguishable from humanity? Making AI that mimics humanity beyond our ability to tell the difference is not a matter of if, but when. As far as I'm concerned it's an evitability and when that happens what moral obligates will we have to the AI, should we treat them as we treat other humans, if AI becomes indistinguishable from humanity, even if threw programed emotions and the ability to think freely, I think most would agree that equal treatment feels correct. Thankfully we likely won't be faced with this question in our lifetimes but will be faced with the question in humanity's lifetime.

Went to see because of the decent thrilling promised trailer and Mark Walberg, left with expectations in check. Positives there is pretty good tension throughout the movie and nice subtly unease that builds when needed. Characters, aside from the hijacker played by Mark, the two other leads had really good chemistry and likeability, I cared whether or not they made it out alive which is a major plus, also some decent humor from the flight instructor over the radio. Negatives, one of the worst opening scenes I've ever seen, it honestly felt like they filmed it last minute without direction, i was actually shocked that opener was the 'grab' to catch my attention. Mark's hijacker character was barely a character at all, for a 90 minute movie this lead was out of the action for probably 70 minutes and immediately felt like just starpower for starpower. A pretty goofy movie that shines with the lead female fed agent and the witness built relationship while in danger, worthy watch just have reasonable expectations.

Your average Netflix 'consumer' made slop, not to say it didn't have it's moments, it was an easy Sunday afternoon watch with the family, but Netflix is either top of the line with ground breaking shows like squid games and stranger things with objective depth or bottom of the barrel with movies like this which feel as if they were made with the main idea of being easy to digest for your average viewer. I promise this isn't meant to be pretentious, I'm no stranger to popcorn films, I'll go see every new godzilla and kong movie with a buddy where i know in order to enjoy i must turn off my brain however, if you told me this movie was made with AI prompts to appeal to those who can enjoy a movie they don't remember the following day, I would believe you.
