A reboot/sequel to a classic film that nobody was asking for. Ultimately it's a pretty damn fun ride. Great cast, Karen Gillan especially kills it.

The only critic I can find about this movie is its streamlined nature. But it's not like Stranger Things. The writers found a way to reboot Jumanji in a relatable and modern way where these streamlined ideas don't appear manufactured. The mix of action, adventure, and comedy fit together. I also like how the writers play with typical cliches and show a mirror of typical judgmental ideas by joining characters and their Jumanji avatars. Storywriting isn't perfect but it's better than I expected for a movie of this kind.

A big budget, mainstream action/comedy from Hollywood that follows all the usual tropes. Entertaining enough but not that memorable.

This movie totally missed the point of the original Jumanji and tried to do something more ''modern'' and ''new'' but unfortunately the humor was stale the animations and effects were average and the story was just an boring trip with no epic scenes. Remember the last dice throw from the original movie man that was just amazing and everything about the scene was epic but here there was no such thing.Average movie that is an insult to the original should've just named the movie something else.

La Roca actuando como La Roca, Kevin Heart y Jack Black actuando como los zopencos que siempre han sido en sus horribles películas y esta versión de Jumanji parece querer mezclar de manera insolente todos los elementos posibles, no la pude encontrar divertida siquiera ya que los personajes son deliberadamente castrosos.

Jumanji isn't the greatest movie, but if you're looking for fun and amusement then this is a good movie to watch.

Danny Devito and Kevin Hart are pretty much amazing in this movie from start to finish. Also, Dwayne Johnson goes sicko mode half way through the movie and it's quite funny.

A lot of sequels don’t live up to the originals, especially when it’s a whole new cast and really a new type of film. This one does! Very funny and it’s well done on so many levels.

The cast, especially Jack Black and the Rock, did a great job. They carried this movie and made it far better than it should have been. The plot is predictable, The villain is weak and the ending was very unsatisfying, especially after the 2 hour run time. The comedy is a bit of hit and miss for the most part but the cast makes it work. It's not a perfect movie but it is a pretty fun watch. It's no where near as good as the original though.

This movie is a masterpiece for playing with cliches, tropes and stereotypes of video games, action movies and characters. It is entertaining and nearly all jokes work perfect. The cast is amazing. They play characters inside other characters (avatars) that are their pure opposite from real life. Each one is believable at any moment and they develop within the story (Hero's journey). I can only praise the whole team for this movie. Everything fits perfect together. The tropes and stereotypes are parodied nearly perfect. Overall this was the most surprising movie I have seen this year and I have watched it again with my friends which agree with me in every point. Bonus: If you have the DVD with extras watch the alternative title song.

This was a surprisingly good movie; come to think of it, all of the movies featuring The Rock have been awesome lately. This movie was fun to watch. It's very funny and has a decent plot. The cast is great too. Characters are pretty generic though. The humour in the entire movie keeps walking a really fine line - anything more would be either cliche, ham fisted or plain gross, but the way it's written and acted out makes it hilarious while remaining on the side of good taste. That's a pretty impressive achievement in it's own right.

Despite receiving a mixed response from critics upon its release in 1995, the original Jumanji has since gone on to become a family favourite, making many people wary of a sequel. In all honesty it’s difficult to see this movie standing the test of time, but almost entirely due to its charismatic cast (and that outfit Karen Gillan wears!), it does manage to entertain for the duration of its hour and a half running time.

I was expecting a fun action adventure movie, but wasn't prepared for how bad this movie actually is. Unfunny, tedious, and cringeworthy, without a single redeeming feature. Easily the worst movie I've seen in 10 years.

Jumanji 3 is a pleasantly fun film to watch with your friends and family and laugh out loud at the multiple jokes (dialog quips) that these funny characters throw at you while their very lives are at stake, the fact which led me reduce three stars from its rating. TN.

Very Pleasant Surprise Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is hilarious, excellently written, has a terrific cast, and cool special effects.

Absolutely worth your time! Light, funny, doesn't take itself too seriously - excellent entertainment.

Best movie of 2017. Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have the best chemistry together. So with the entire cast of this film. Funny, energetic, fresh, and a more mature family movie.

It was a real work of an artist this one. The art for comedy and nostalgia. I have to give credit for the genre tags and they got the movie accordingly done, very well indeed. It felt like it was and action-adventure plus comedy, so I don't know why all the hate. The actors did very good delivering a character with a mindset that they did not match their or their character's personalities, and it was very fun to watch which made for a lot of laugh out loud moments and puns and pop culture references. The writing was genius and very creative with all it's options and still remaining family friendly. The directing was very good the music helped the entertainment aspect out a lot. But the visuals where really well done except for 2-3 shots in the whole movie which looked terrible. The plot was really great, and video game like, which all gave it an interesting vibe. Overall it's a very good movie and everything was done very good in terms of entertainment and fun. But given the fact that this is not a serious movie and there is no real message in the movie and some other missing elements of a legendary masterpiece movie. But still withh all that missing this is a very good movie.

I always find the Rock a infectious larger than life on screen personality who is just a lot of fun to watch in general. The supporting cast do a good enough job, but this is the Rocks movie. The original movie is a hard one to beat and for this to go up against that one? Well this one does a really fine job of holding it's own. Fun action comedy for all the family.

Anyways, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is full of action sequences which were very good, very talented performances in the world of Jumanji, but in the real life, the performances were bad, and it takes to another thing I hated about this movie, I didn't see so much of Jumanji or lots of animals as I expected to see. The CGI of the animals wasn't that good anyway. The story is really good, I loved every sequence of this movie, it's like video game but a movie, I loved it! The sense of humor of this movie is really funny, I liked that , but Kevin Hart with Dwayne Johnson scene was so Central Intelligence, I didn't that, but I laughed though. Pure disappointment. They tried to keep the Jonas Brother out of the promotion... I don't know how he managed to be in the movie. But he's even worse actor than singer. Just saying. Another Dwayne the rock johnson movie.

The modernization of Jumanji is brilliantly done and takes nice diverted route using the same basic premise. The casting is really where Jumanji shines. All 4 main 'avatars' are superbly cast and really lift the movie from average to very good.

I've seen the original of this movie which is why I was kinda skeptic to watch this one. However, this movie was quite a pleasant reboot. Likable characters, interesting portrayal of the story and also a good portion of comedy and action. The acting was on point, specially Jack Black did an outstanding job in my opinion. What I didn't like though were the somewhat too cheesy parts in this movie. Otherwise it's a very good one.

This is actually a really funny film. I do not often disagree with critics ratings but come on, Jack Black alone was enough to bring this film to at least a 7.

Usually I am not into this type of film. However it turned out to be quite well made as far as this genre is concerned. I like the concept that they picked a bunch of students in high school to be the characters who would roleplay the video game characters in Jumanji. It starts out fresh, and would draw appeal to high school teens especially. There are a quite a few funny moments. A few really good ones. Others are kinda forced/cheesy, but acceptable if you know what to expect from this kind of film. The characters in the film learnt along the difficult path to their goals, to bond and grow to become better people. Overall this is an okay movie to watch for general entertainment. Just don't expect too much from this in terms of depth.

Entertaining. Full of good messages and a feeling of adventure we rarely see anymore in films. It surprsingly serves its purpose. But obviously there´s not much more to it as to consider it deserves a higher score than this. Recommendable as an easy watch.

Quite funny movie and I am really glad that they made it more like a sequel instead of making the same way as it was in the original. Has many funny elements, action, everything you want from a movie, maybe the story itself is really predictable, but what do you want from a comedy/family movie

Starts out a little formulaic but once it gets itself going its surprisingly original while it pales in comparison to the original Jumanji, the cast is really good especially Jack Black, Nick Jonas and Karen Gillian. The Rock is also charismatic enough to carry the movie and even Kevin Hart offers up a few good scenes to justify his character. However, the villain is essentially pointless, offers little motivation and does little to impress. Nick Jonas's character offers the best arc, you start to root for him by films end and I give Jonas the credit for actually making his character as good as it was.

This was a really entertain movie for me. The cast work really well together, particularly Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black. The plot is fun and really zips along, and the fact that the four characters are completely different characters in the video game is done very well. I watched it with my family and we all enjoyed it enormously.
