It took the franchise four tries, but with Expend4bles, they’ve finally made a solid and consistently effective action movie.

The Expendables movies had one trick, and that trick has been played out. Director Scott Waugh has to resort to something else with Expend4bles: finally trying to turn one of these projects into a good action movie.

Потребовалось четыре попытки франшизы, но с Expend4bles они, наконец, сделали солидный и стабильно эффективный боевик.

Apologetic sequel brings back franchise veterans Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren and ups the violence from ‘Expendables 3’ – but that’s not enough.

Merely more of the same gung-ho corniness, delivered with a chintziness and wink-wink self-consciousness that undercuts its aggro appeal.

Expend4bles feels like a movie that never should have been made for a franchise that, having lain dormant for nine years, didn’t deserve a resurrection.

The first thing you need to know about Expendables 4 is that its studio somehow made the grating decision to fashion its title as Expend4ble. It’s a needless spelling challenge for a dull and vulgar flick with a lot of empty-calories muscle, but little-to-no skill or fun to spare.

The problem is that for all its R-rated ambitions, none of the kills in Expend4bles is particularly inventive, memorable, or even base-level fun. For a movie centred on the cathartic pleasures of mercenary murder, the only death wish that audiences will walk away muttering is one directed straight at the screen.

He makes an unlikely ally in the form of an ageing maintenance man, Mr. Han (Chan), a kung fu master who teaches him the secrets of self-defence.I love the actors in this film. Especially Jackie Chan. He was so funny and cool at the same time. He's perfect for playing role as kong fu master he's fighting was the best. Also, I think that this film is fantastic because the story have excited and heart warming scene plus good life lessonLog in or register to post commentsSubmitted by Jennywennybenn… on Tue, 07/16/2024 - 10:45You didn’t specify which of intriguing moment when she is witnessing the events on earth from the “in-between” as her family turned their beloved house as a tomb ****. As she is around the clock, will she be able to find the lights in her darkest place? The movie itself was partially based on a true story. While the novel classifies itself as fiction but actually it roots lie in reality. Eventhough the story and its message were generally bland and cloying sentimentality which led to an upsetting experience, the visual effects for the “in-between” was incredibly eye-catching. The soundtrack is remarkably touching as it brings imaginary, dreamy, surreal and otherworldly feelings with mixed-emotion. I would recommend this movie, The Lovely Bones especially for supernatural thriller lovers out there. I’m sure the unpredictable plot will caught you off guard at the very end. They are correct and spot on for choosing Andrew Garfield as Desmond Doss to portray his Heroism and bravery, because I think It is suitable for Andrew, as compared to his past roles playing Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man. When I first saw It, I thought It was so amazing and I was blown away. It Is inspiring to all.Even the fact that it was based on a true story is truly incredible. I cried pretty much throughout the entirety of this film, it got to the point where I was shaking during the war scenes. seriously such a fantastic moving film. It changes my perspective on war greatly. I give "Hacksaw Ridge" and I definitely recommend everyone to go watch this Movie. IN A NUTSHELL: This new film was directed by Scott Waugh. Writing credits go to Kurt Wimmer, Tad Daggerhart, and Max Adams. This action franchise has featured a team of elite mercenaries who are the world’s last line of defense when all other options are off the table. Get ready for more macho mayhem. THINGS I LIKED: We get to see some of our favorites in this franchise again like Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, and Tony Jaa. We’re also introduced to some new characters played by 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, and Jacob Scipio. Sadly missing is Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Jean Claude Van Damme, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, Ronda Rousey, and Antonio Banderas. There is plenty of blistering action from start to finish. If you’re looking for unbridled testosterone, this movie is for you. The rockin soundtrack hits hard, just like the team. There is some amusing, snarky dialogue, especially between Jason Statham’s and Sylvester Stallone’s characters. THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE: The lack of many of our favorite actors in this installment of the franchise is noticeable and disappointing. It doesn’t really feel like an ensemble cast, but more of a Jason Statham movie. Instead of clever quips, entertaining dialogue is usually replaced by grunts and yells during fighting sequences. No fighting sequence can ever top anything from the John Wick franchise. Just saying… It’s hard to take a female warrior seriously when she’s wearing a crop top, no body armor, perfect makeup, and hair sprayed hair. The ending twist is super hokey. I actually got bored during a lot of the action sequences. Sad, right? TIPS FOR PARENTS: This movie is NOT appropriate for kids. Lots of blood, brutal murders, and dead bodies Profanity and lots of F-bombs. Tons of explosions and destruction. Dirty talk.

The previous expendables movies were much better & more fun. Kind of disappointed in this. Has some nice action scenes & decent fighting but the plot, story, character build up all are pretty weak. You can skip on this, won't be a big miss.
